- While some people were fannying about on the 15th March turning 50,
The Broon brothers were exactly where they should have been, at the Loch.
Within 7 minutes, Alex hooked up to a belter on a kinetic inline Lure (10lb 1.4 oz)
A fantastic start to the season !!
Fish (as always) returned with nothing more serious than a lip piercing and a ruined morning.
Cracking stuff and an awesome advert for trout lure fishing done right!!
Well done Jake! 😘

Brilliant start to season, what a stunner of a fish. Well done.
Well done Alex, season doesn't get to start any better than that😊👍
Incredible fish!. Well done Alex.
Well done Alex what a nice brownie 🎣👌I’ve fished that wee loch stunning scenery 💯👍🏻
nice big fish 👍
each to their own but 1 of the things that puts me off orkney is the any method rule to the lochs. Locals casting their iron mongery in all the lochs 😂
As you say, each to your own, what puts me off visiting angler's to Orkney is the sheer snobbery and entitlement.
We were here first and fished these lochs as kids as our fathers and grand fathers before them, and how you can find fault in more or less every fish being released unharmed by the small group who use " Iron mongery" makes me happy you won't be visiting soon.
Slack lines!

There’s no skill involved in spinning pal, anyone can catch using the spinner.
And we do..🫡
@@al-ho1bybullshit fly fishing snobbery…just cause I can chuck fluff (which I can) don’t think your better than someone who spins
