My attempt at a RUclips channel all about flying. I fly fixed wing microlights myself and I also run my own finance brokerage specialising in aircraft finance so I am very lucky to experience some of the things that I do. I am going to do my best to document some of my flying adventures on this channel.
Flight From Nottingham Over Fog & Low Cloud | Full ATC & Cockpit Audio | Let's Go Flying
Join us for a journey from Nottingham airport where we had a massive breakfast at Chocks Away Cafe! In this flight we were heading back to Hawksview over some low cloud and fog that produced some pretty stunning scenery. We went the long way through The Peak District to take advantage of the calm conditions and beautiful views flying past The Roaches and around Shuttlingsloe, which is a very large hill next to Macclesfield Forest. Of course, we gave the people at the top of the hill a wave with the wings!

Another nice one - thanks. Great to see the Roaches and Shutlingsloe from the air again - I used to fly around there a lot in the Chippy. That danger area next to the Roaches is an Army training ground on the moors near Meerbrook. I was going to say I'd never fly over solid fog for the very reasons you stated, but then again, you do have that parachute option! Cheers Vince C

Great video, I love the bit where you fly next to TZ, it looks like it's just hanging there. I'm trying to edit my last flight with multicams, being a newbie to editing it's a nightmare!
@@AeroAdventures1 yeah it was a good angle! I was lucky to have Sam there to get a close up! It can be tricky but you definitely pick up some tricks along the way. It used to take me hours just to get the footage in the timeline but it does get easier! I’ll check your channel out…

Might be a silly question, but can you count hours flown in a microlight for your hour building (if you have a ppl (a)) 😊
No that’s a great question. I believe as of now the answer is no, however, that may be changing this year. The CAA are simplifying the licencing process and I believe that as of October/November once the new changes come into effect, hours flown in microlights will count towards a PPL. Not sure on the commercial aspect though.

Nice video lads, its a great shame but Nottingham is due to close this Spring.
Thank you. Yes I am aware of that and it is very sad indeed. Our airfields are all under threat these days. Cheshire Flyers purposely chose this destination to show their support for the field although the weather didn’t allow for a proper turnout which was sad too!
So, how much were the landing fees compared to the breakfast?
I would have to ask Sam what the landing fee was as he picked that up but the breakfast was about £13 off the top of my head. Worth every penny though - it was delicious!
