Very sadly one of my childhood school friends was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma at 17 and passed away a couple of years later. I haven't watched your entire journey yet so hope that you are still with us.

This November, it will have been 3 years since losing an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved friend to many. It is so comforting to be brought into yours and Brandon’s journey, because it answers so many questions of what my beloved friend, her husband and family went through. One of life’s most difficult challenges is losing someone so alive, with so much purpose, and needed so much by their family. But God…we who love Jesus will be together again and I believe sooner than later. Thank you so much for sharing your journey! God bless and keep you precious Carrie, your children and family.

My aunt was diagnosed with this in 2005 and given 6-12 months. It is now 19 years later and she is alive and kicking!

Have known so many people with a grade 4 glioblastoma 😢…….So sad! However, LAST WEEK, MCMASTER UNIVERSITY, HAMILTON,ONTARIO CANADA HAVE FOUND A “CURE”. Allegedly……..HOW? THEY EXTRACT YOUR T CELLS…… they are the cells that attack invading bacteria or viruses in our body to keep one from getting sick. It’s an immune response. So they take your T cells and they do something with these T cells which they injected back into your body which then kill the cells or cancer cells in the glioblastoma…. I believe they are doing clinical trials at the moment but it looks very very promising. Perhaps you can Google this or even call the University and see if you can speak with someone there who is involved in this new discovery. I know this is an older video but if someone is reading this perhaps You can contact someone at the University regarding this…..Take care,

I lost dad at age 66 after a 9 month journey with glioblastoma.. his diagnosis was sudden as well he had debulking surgery n radiation .he declined the temodar as Dr's n team agreed the symptoms n side effects were going to affect his quality of life for time he had left and it was unlikely to buy him much more time. He had decent quality of life til the last month of life. Had a stroke 4 days before he passed .I am a RN n we were fortunate to be able to keep him home til his passing. This disease is the terminator it hides camouflaged in healthy tissue it's aggressive n devastating. My heart goes out to those who endure it and their families . My girlfriends daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma at age 34 and lived 4 years.

It’s not possible to remove a glioblastoma for 100% with surgery because it as part of the name in GBM4 the M is for multiforma meaning it has tentacles that dig into the brain like the roots of a plant into the earth. This is probably why they always come back. My late husband had the initial tumor removed but it grew back and later he had 3 more tumors in an other part of the brain. He lived for 28 months after the initial diagnosis. He died in 2020 aged 63.

They should of tried the polio virus it has had good results, but not for everyone yet!!!

God sent me here to listen to your story, I’m prepping my heart and mind for my DIL with Glioblastoma, trying to help my son and his children. I do daycare for her. The story is so very similar. I am not sure what I can learn but I will listen in small bites. I’m also listening to nurse Julie and I’m a retired nurse with more to learn.
