Interesting you say that. My father had polio as a young man so when he went to the hospital at 77, they were treating him for Post Polio Syndrome, but he had Glioblastoma. It was too late for any treatment by then and he died a week later

That should be illegal - suffering through the illness as a child, but then finding out in the 80s that it doubles back on you as post polio syndrome, but then getting brain a brain tumor that the thing you battled repeatedly in your life can help your brain tumor, but it really just makes it worse. I believe it was stated best by Depeche Mode, but "I think that God's got a sick sense of humor, and and when I die, I expect to find him laughing."
All the best to you and yours.

My only daughter was diagnosed in 1997 ,she was 20 yrs old. Her name is Shannon and had headaches a your prior to her diagnosis we thought she had mirgraines and was told she did . The day she was given a CT scan was a Thursday and died on Friday. This now has some good news in treatment for the brain cancer 25 yrs later but we were so shocked at the loss of our daughter so quickly

My fiancé’s mother was diagnosed with glioblastoma. She had a tumor the size of a man’s fist & they successfully surgically resected almost all of it. She underwent radiation & chemo but ultimately succumbed 18 months after her initial diagnosis with us by her side. I know they’ve made great strides in the last 5 years when it comes to research & finding successful treatments for glioblastoma. I pray that you’re doing well. You’re so young.🙏🏼❤️

It’s not possible to remove a glioblastoma for 100% with surgery because it as part of the name in GBM4 the M is for multiforma meaning it has tentacles that dig into the brain like the roots of a plant into the earth. This is probably why they always come back. My late husband had the initial tumor removed but it grew back and later he had 3 more tumors in an other part of the brain.
He lived for 28 months after the initial diagnosis. He died in 2020 aged 63.

Brandon, the first visual symptom you noticed was the lights shifting right to left and right to left. Did this visual symptom stay with you continuously, or did it stop? And did it look blurry? The feeling of disorientation and stopping at the green light plus noticing the lights shifting sounded like the start of a seizure. Forgetting things and not able to read the road signs and mental fog was a clear sign that things weren't right.
I notice a lot of GBM patients that have posted up their first symptoms and signs on RUclips have had literally the worst of the worst experiences when their symptoms onset. Lots of reports of either migraine style headaches lasting for weeks on end, throwing up, or having seizures. One young man had auditory seizures where he heard a weird sound/music before he totally spaced out. Bob Moog had issues with moving his arm and even with receiving treatment he didn't live more than 3 months.
GBM is a very aggressive form of brain cancer. You were lucky to get all of the tumor resected, it's a difficult tumor to remove since it forms little tentacles that go into the brain tissue. I really hope that you have the right genes and receive the best treatment possible. Not everyone makes it. My heart goes out to you two and your family.

@Busty Blonde Beach Bunny: I had done a lot of research online on the types of symptoms and what other people have experienced through RUclips videos, in conjunction with undergraduate studies in premed biology. I had concerns that I had a form of brain cancer with having visual disturbances, vertigo, tinnitus, and headaches. Thankfully my MRI results were normal, but I sympathize for people experiencing cancer. I do hope for more development and research in aggressive forms of brain cancer, such as GBM, to help people like Brandon live longer and be cured.

About 39 mins in you mentioned basically how you’ve been doing great, I am in the same situation! I was diagnosed with GBM following an awake craniotomy brain surgery on July 30. I promise you that your faith and the prayers from those you are close to, those you happened to meet, those you happened to just see, and those you’ve never met who pray for you and even just think positive for you will see you through! I have done the same 6 weeks of low dose chemo and radiation (9/10/18-10/18/18), and last night I took the last dose of the 5th month of 5/23 (five days on 23 days off) high dose Temodar. It’s seriously 50/50 when it comes to faith and prayer vs following the medical treatment available. My own neurosurgeon initially thought I had a grade 2 benign tumor, though the path confirmed grade 4 GBM. I have some speech problems more-so related to memory. For example, I want to say a word that starts with L but I think of all sorts of other words before the correct one comes to my mind. This really only happens if I’m overly tired or while I’m on this high dose of Temodar. I would definitely pursue any possible clinical trials! I am unfortunately not eligible for any at this time, for which I just take as a positive moment from God for telling me that I’m doing too well to take the place of someone who needs a different treatment than the standard. This journey is a change in your life but it is just a time out, I pray for you and your family! That you all make it through to be able to continue to share your story! Help others know what happens and how we go through the process. Without you sharing your story, we cannot even tell that you are cancerous and praise God for that strength!

Thank you for this video, still helping people from heaven. I’m praying for you, Carrie, and your family, and for all reading this/dealing with this diagnosis. My 89 yr old F-in-law was diagnosed 6 weeks ago, given a rosy prognosis but after surgery, the doctor’s demeanor completely changed. It went badly & he couldn’t read, walk, was incontinent, and spoke mainly gibberish. He was so unhappy and angry that his “children” let him do the surgery. He asked them to kill him & wanted to die. He did last week. We thank God that he is out of his misery. Blessings to all of you, and to God be all the glory! We know where Brandon is, and you will see him again!

Husband dx June 13 2019. Had surgery on June 11th and got pathology report as he was being discharged 2 days after surgery. Very devastating time. Sounds like he will be having 2nd surgery soon. Tumor came back before any treatments started but he did go through the 6 weeks radiation and now does chemo.

My good friend diagnosed with GBM and when neurosurgery removed much of tumour. It was sent to pathology and there seems there is a variant of this type brain tumour. She has had treatment finishing her rounds. They found that tumor wasn’t same type as what they later found it in bone. They did auto stem cell transplant. She is 6 months out and is doing much better.
