Love your challenge tonight to draw close to the lord during good times as well as troubled times. I always loved the book of James chapter 4...
    James 4:2
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
I am praying that our faith would increase during good peaks in our lives. We are praying for your family and we lift Carrie and the kids up. Lord we ask that you would be the comforter, the sustainer to Brandon’s family. Lord give the kids and Carrie more faith than they ever thought they could have. Build them up with your strength as you show your hand in each move that is made during this season of busyness. Continue to send people to bless them and take on their burdens with them. Let us be the hands and feet of you taking the weight of all of the new challenges that seem like stumbling blocks. Lord you have given them so many people that love them and care for them. I thank you for your steadfast love that sees all and knows all. Please be with the children as I know this can be confusing for them. Bring their knowledge of you to their minds and let them see your glory. I pray your word would be a comfort during difficult times and that they would know you are there through it all. Amen
We love you all and are lifting you up for the lords hand upon you as you begin treatment to fight this!

Hi Brandon & Carrie- I came across your first video the other night and watched the entire thing. First of all, I am really sorry you are going through this. I know firsthand how scary this can be and the wild range of emotions that accompany this diagnosis and treatment.
A year ago tomorrow, I went in for neurosurgery to remove a brain tumor. 2 days later I was released from the hospital and they already had the pathology back. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to hear the words "glioblastoma" based on the pre-op MRI. I recently completed the standard of care in conjunction with a clinical trial at the Mayo Clinic this past November. I have been through what you are about to embark on. For me, the treatment was really a breeze. I am truly grateful for that. although I don't think it was accidental. This was my 2nd cancer diagnosis and I went through even more intense chemo 10 years ago without any issues. I believe that my mindset was the biggest factor. I know that the unknown can be scary when you hear the words chemo and radiation, but don't accept that what the doctors tell you MIGHT happen, will automatically happen to you during treatment. They are covering their bases. In fact, I'm betting that you will do just fine.
I could ramble on here with a lot of thoughts to share with you, but I don't want to do that in a public forum. However, if you would ever like to connect and you want to talk to someone who can relate and has been through it, I would love to help in any way I can. I'm a bit over-educated on this disease and have a lot of knowledge and personal experience to draw from. I would have liked that when I started this journey. Please, don't hesitate to reach out. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!
