This is a disaster. I've reviewed a lot of thin/nonexistent shows in my time on Too Many Tapes, but they all at least felt like there was SOME effort involved.
This thing, though... This is one of the most cynical vanity projects I've ever encountered - a totally misguided mess that fails to deliver on any one of its goals. It's not fun, it's not funny, it's not engaging, and it doesn't do its primary job - teaching kids Bible lessons - all that well either.
All of this is seemingly birthed from Frank Peretti's (This Present Darkness, The Dark Is Rising, Cooper Kids Adventure Series) desire to be some sort of wacky TV personality for kids. The only problem here is that he's not charismatic...
