    Been playing a while now, across 5 characters I have been flying solo and enjoying it playing a character from each of the major powers has let me see all sides of the coin. I now "live" in New Eden roleplaying each character, makes me feel immersed in the ships I fly. Most fun I had for 2 weeks is my Minmitar character. Taking anything in active sites not bolted down and warping off with a constant target on my back is a thrill. Amplified by blasting Norse music to further place my immersion at 10/10 lol.

    There are so many games out there that I just accept I won't get every daily reward. Thats fine, because in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter to my character's progression. Personally though, FOMO doesn't really hit but I guess its why I enjoy gaming now more than I have ever versus when I was younger. If I know I'm going to miss out on something, then its just that. Maybe eventually I will go back to it, but its cool if I miss out cause the game is the game at the end of the day.

  • @jrjosecastrocastro2087

    If I could drop some knowledge, is eve online doesn’t really have an endgame, as the goals always get “bigger” we go from ships to in game goals, I went from tuskers ( what some players consider end game ) and it just didn’t feel endgame ( it was for me at some point ) but now after nearly 4 years playing I just don’t have one ( end game ), but getting back to track on the knowledge part, a new player stops being new when they can understand any part of the game with out much trouble…. ( if you or anyone else needs any advise on the game make sure to send a message in game to Duvismo Castro )

    I've been playing on off for 10 years and consider myself not a noob, and yet have not touched most of the 'end game content'. I subbed 2 accounts for 2 or 3 years skilling and waiting. Did a lot of FW Farming. Dreamed of all the things I want to do. But life changed and I stopped playing. Since I have not been motivated to subscribe again just due to life and the sticker price of 2 accounts. I have been doing ALOT of Alpha content. I've tested and done everything just about now and know what the limits are. Probably spent more time playing Eve for free. But that means there is tons of stuff I have yet to do. Yet I have probably a few thousand hours of Eve experience. Not a noob but have not done most things!

    welcome to eve! i have almost 200 million skill points and have played for 11 years, so my idea of what a noob is is probably different that someone that has played half that, or double! like you said its been around for 21 years and is pretty deep, takes alot longer than most games to shake off that new player feeling! and ya i am still learning plenty! also most don't strive for titans because they not only take so long to train as you point out, but they are expensive as hell and while that money can be made in game, many end up swiping their credit card to get those big shineys and most of those ships rarely if ever see combat! "endgame" for me is mastery V for all subcapitals! i'm prob a couple years off that! lol!

  • @joseph.cotter
    @joseph.cotter 19 дней назад

    It's not about making it easy for new players, it's about "right sizing" your ship to the challenge. Smaller ships have their own advantages inherently. They are faster, provide a smaller target, etc... If you understand the different dynamics and take advantage of them you will of course do much better and it will be much easier. If you don't understand but luck into a good fit for a particular challenge, you will also do much better and it will be much easier. Eve is not 'bigger is better bruh!" It's very much about understanding all of the dynamics at play. "Bigger is better!" Is checkers thinking when Eve is using chess thinking.

    • @joseph.cotter
      @joseph.cotter 19 дней назад

      To clarify a bit, a smaller ship with more skills fitted to it in a challenge that contains like sized ships will almost always beat a larger ship with less skills fighting against smaller and more nimble ships. Also, a smaller ship can take down a bigger ship if the ship has been configured to take advantage of it's specific advantages and the pilot knows what s/he is doing. Of course there are break points where smaller just won't cut it anymore (unless in a specialized small ship doing specialized tasks) and therefore one needs to upsize their ship. Finally (for my point here, not overall) this is a game of tradeoffs. The trick is to get as many advantages in your particular configuration for the challenge at hand, while keeping the disadvantages in the 'doesn't matter for my config and/or for this challenge' column. A simple example is using a shield configured ship in a challenge or environment that punishes armor, or focusing thermal and ignoring em protection in an environment where you know the npc's don't do any (or little) em damage, mostly thermal. As another example, for frigates, there is a 'speed tank' category of configuration that capitalizes on their inherent speed and small signature.
