Cycling flat tyre test. I’ve never used this device before, it’s the Cycplus AS2 PRO and Cycplus AS2 Pro Max. When cycling there is nothing worse than a flat tyre and running out of co2 or having to pump on the side of the road. This device is supposed to avoid that.
They both work extremely well.

Rider Gets Extremely Angry With Me 😡
Its a race. You have to do what you need to do.
If its not in the rules, then move on poor losers.. great effort :)
love the vids!
huh? so who got 2nd?
If a wheel is there then use it even sitting on is OK as far as I’m concerned but fair play you got your nose in the wind. Anyone else could have done the same. Good luck in cat 2
All i can say is “sore loser”. Its one of the reasons i never competed. They suck the enjoyment out of competition.
Sick mate earned my sub what glasses are those?
it's against the rules in track
Normally in a Criterium a lapped rider is pulled out of the race by the race director, but when the entire field is lapped that’s different. Sitting on the wheel of a rider who has lapped the field I think is fair play as long as it doesn’t interfere with the result, as in if 3 riders lapped the field and you sat on them and started swapping turns that could change the results of the first 3 would be a no no.
That makes sense 🙂 do you race too?
Great story - you kept me until the end. And Nick you are a beast
Thanks man. And yes he’s a beast!!! Hope you enjoy the other videos on the channel
zzz
🙂
You did nothing wrong. cycling is cycling..... if you dont want to be drafted, then pull away,. if you cant then just accept it and RACE. too much crap go's on in cycling races.... Race or dont!! Well done mate.
Thank you 🫡 do you race too
I quit the sport (which I loved) entirely due to the sort of bad sports you are talking about. I was physically threatened after a race once for absolutely nothing (mistaken identity). I met some of the best and without doubt the worst people I've ever known in cycling. Lots of macho men who don't realise how none of us are any good (at cat 2/3), it's just a bit of fun and should be seen as such.
That’s a shame. And 100% it’s fun, jeeeze I’m in my 30s. People need to chill 😆
@@michaelgraycycling I've taken up competitive running and there is nothing like this. Everyone is lovely, with nothing to prove.
Nought wrong with your tactics in my book. Well done dude😊 👍👏🏼
Cheers ✌️ hope you enjoy the other videos on the channel :)
Good win mate, there’s nothing wrong with using the rider in front as your wind deflector. Strategy always wins! Congrats mate!
Thank you ✌️✌️
Eh. Something doesn't add up. Why you being lapped and Nick got the same finish? Shouldn't he be off 1 lap before that?
We finish on the same lap as the leader. So if he finishes on the lap prior we will all finish on that lap too
@@michaelgraycycling so if you wouldn't let him go first cross the line that would be one more lap for you?
I'm confused, who got 2nd?
Some other guy went in the race up the road. I had no idea!
The rule I am aware of about lapping is that lapped riders should not interfere with the race happening one lap ahead of the them, which includes not doing pulls in the front but I don't know any rule that says not to try to stay on the wheels of the riders that lapped you. The only valid complaint would have been from the #2 finisher complaining that you offered a wheel to #1 and you robbed them the chance to catch them but I suppose the gap was so big that this was not a case.
For sure. But also I can’t do much about it if Nick jumps on my wheel when I ride past him in the final few laps
@@michaelgraycycling I agree and, as I said, in this case there was no result influence. Nick's chaser was very very far behind. My comment is theoretical but something that can happen in the heat of the race and without ill intentions. If there was a rider 5-6 seconds behind Nick that you were not aware of and you ended up riding with Nick, that would be a DQ for you. If the circuit does not give you a good view of the situation, it may be risky.
Don't get it... Are u racing or do you make a coffeeride? =D What the hell... Don't get those people^^ When and most important why did they agree not to get that advantage? In F1 they are also allowed to lap themself back and getting DRS (Big Aero advantage on straights)... That's part of that kind of a race anyway... If u don't want to do that, don't race on a circuit =D... And if everyone is against that, then they have to get rid of that rule: The race ends in the same lap when the first one ends it.... Also if u don't recognize him, how do you know that this guy already lapped you?
I didnt recognise him from previous races. But when them Enve wheels rolled back round I was like ahhhhhh. 😂
I'm not a cyclist at all (I'm a runner) but found your video really interesting. I can't believe how sore those losers were. Why is there such a morality when it comes to cycling? this is a race for everyone surely? so you deploy whatever tactics it takes to win as long as it's legal i.e. no drugs or james bond style dropping nails on the road or oil slicks etc... Why wasn't nick chastised for winning?
Exactly. But mental! They were busy just waiting for the sprint. And clearly all had the “I should have done that” emotion after the race. First cycling race you’ve watched?
well they obviously need to go racing in Europe to get the feel of racing then .
For sure!
you did absolutely nothing wrong i'm a roadie who thinks many/most roadies are total pussies
I have no idea what is going on, but you tell a good narrative!
@@joelvarney5091 thank you. Do you not normally watch cycling?
@@michaelgraycycling no, never. This is the first one I have watched. It showed up randomly.
Hello from the US. Nick is a Beast and sounds like you are also ready for cat 2. There was no problem at all with what you did, the guys in the peloton that got lapped and pissed about what you did are just stupid and not racers. I never liked people who sat up at the front, especially if its not their teammate. So I would always crank the pace back up. I came to race, not do a club ride. Good on you! Keep it up.
Yea man I’m there to race! If they want a certain scenario to play out it’s up to them to physically do it rather than moan and say it verbally post race. Ah well. Thanks for the kind words. Do you race too?
I'd be fighting not to sprint so as to not be technically finishing lapped.
Tell me about it. That was my original thought. I wasn’t to happy to be lapped!
Good ride!
Thanks! Do you race?
@@michaelgraycycling No, I'm old; 76 years old. I can still do 17 mph for 40 miles. I'm happy with that.
The lads saying let nick go before the finish I bet all wanted a sprint. Fair play you put it out there and won.
Yea they did. The stupid thing was, all they had to do was continue to sit on his wheel in the first place, hold their good positions and just continue to let him lead them out. Think they got angry with their own stupidity
@@michaelgraycycling either way nick is winning 🤣
@@JamesDownes yea! Beast!
Big Dick Nick strikes again!
A well deserved podium. 👍👍
Thanks 😀
I don’t see anything wrong here.
@@jameshegeman5660 thank you. Hope you enjoyed the video
Cyclists are such babies. If they’re all butthurt about sucking so much more than you, that’s on them. Laughable.
100% you did the right thing. A sprint for 2nd or 3rd place is a recipe for a stupid crash at that level so nothing wrong with you choosing to avoid the sprint. Not your fault that the others chose not to follow Mr Beastmode through who could have just sat at the back of the peloton but was obviously trying to set a PB time or something.
@@maniamuse1319 thanks. He went to the front for safety he said. Didn’t want the risk of anyone falling in front of him and it ruining his race! Fair play!
nothing wrong with what you did and enjoy the cat2 racing

If you have to relay in the failure mechanical or fatigue of your opponent... you don't deserve the win ! Humble opinion you have to work harder 💪
For sure
Nothing wrong with that. Riding (even just living) in the UK would do my head in. A country full of officious, sanctimonious self-ordained experts.
😂 where are you from
@@michaelgraycycling NZ. If someone piped up with this everyone's eyes would roll and we'd tell someone to put grandpa to bed.
Great first race for Cat 2. I'm going to get my son to watch your videos so he thinks a bit more when racing!
I am sure there is method to his own madness
Congratulations on your promotion! I'd like to know what rule they thought you were breaking. I marshal some kids/youth/junior races (my teenage sons race road, track, MTB, BMX and occasionally cross (I wish they would pick a discipline) while I'm just a casual mountain biker). I have heard commissaires say that the lapping rider cannot draft riders they have lapped, and also that riders that have been lapped cannot draft the lapped rider. For the races that I've marshalled it's not normally a problem as the lapped riders get pulled out well before the end, to avoid slower riders getting caught up in the final sprint.
@@Kradlum thank you 😄 is going to be a whole lot harder next year. Not sure if you watched the following race to this, but ah man was a lot lot harder 😂 it’s just here if yiu fancy it ruclips.net/video/0b3CSmAr9YY/видео.html Rule break i have no idea what rule they thought it was. Why didn't you have a CO2 cyclinder as back up lol?
@@pauldyerdyer2731 I wanted to feel the true pain if the device had gone wrong and being genuinely annoyed could have been quite funny. Plus I like to be stupid on purpose sometimes 😆
Not cheating at all IMO. Happens all the time at Mountbatten. I'd do exactly the same, and pretty sure I have. The only time you can't do it is when it's a different Cat race (eg Goodwood have the 3/4 and 2/3 on track at the same time, if you're in the 3/4 you can't jump on the wheel of a 2/3)
@@dannb0dge yeap 🫡 I’ve not raced at Mountbatten but I know it’s a course where it happens a lot
These pumps all over RUclips ATM . Anyone actually using them on rides?
@@TBATTIECYCLING don’t see why you wouldn’t? I’ve scrapped the co2 and taken this with me on the last 10 or so rides since I recorded this video. Think someone else in the comments has also been using it.
@ good to hear
Nope. I wouldn't trust it to be charged and ready the 2 or 3 times a year I need it. But a pump, plus a CO2 cylinder will pretty much always work.
Dude, if the phone call was not a set up scene, you should never play this with your wife…
Playing with fire
She did not seem happy at all lol
😂
Not cheating. Simply clickbait. 😂
@@orentaldvoskin3291 it’s a little more nuanced than that and depends what your opinion is on whether you think it’s cheating or not really. Some people including the people in the race thought it was cheating. Therefor not really clickbait. As to them I was cheating and I had it on my own camera. Which is essentially the title of the video. Depends how you read the race :) but thanks for agreeing with me that I didn’t cheat 😇
bruh, leave your wife alone.😆 two calls to say you don't need her to play uber. She's questioning her life choices.😆
I like to flirt with danger 😅
You must love living dangerously, Michael! I did my review of this pump on my London to Paris ride BUT with my full workshop stand, toolbox and track pump in the support van. 😂 It’s a great little pump though, isn’t it. I don’t bother taking any other pump out now. 👌🏻
@@petertreadway that first line really does have some Austin Powers vibes to it 😂 Ah cool I’ll have to check it out as I did London to Paris too. Yea it’s fantastic. I couldn’t quite believe how long the bigger version the AS2 Pro Max model carried on for. I was actually thinking my camera battery was going to die before the pump! And yea I won’t be taking out another pump. In fact usually I lose the co2 adapter before every ride anyway 😆
