To be fair to London Dynamo, we slept on them. Every race we’ve done this year we’ve never seen any cohesion and has come across like they’ve raced as individuals. So when one went and then another went a few minutes later, my instant thought process was that in the video. “What’s he doing!?” Typical London dynamo 🤣

Field looks like a mix of ages, but appears several are masters. Is it 1 race and they keep track of everything via your timing chips as far as who is a cat 4,3,2, 1 and their respective upgrade points? Solid work reckoning the break for your teammate and last week's dance partner.
Thanks Dustin. Yea it’s a big mix of ages! Masters. Youngsters the lot. So this race the field was just cat 3 👍 And on timing chips yes, too 10 get the points.
In the UK we don't have diffrent categories for masters racers, just 4,3,2,1,E. At this course on this day there were separate races for 4, 3 and E,1,2 for the Men and a E/1/2/3/4 race for women. So everyone in this video is a Catagory 3 racer (The womens race as you can see is on course at the same time but starts a min after the Mens). But also in the UK if catagories are mixed like 3/4 or E/1/2 the results aren't split by catagory, it's just one race with one set of results.
Last time I raced we were all on steel frames. I'd like to get back in the game, but it's so damn expensive. This is just a 3rd cat race and by the looks of it there is clearly several grand spent on each bike. It's a rich mans game now.
Hey! So I use a software called Dashware. Download tcx file from Strava and upload it to the software. And you can fully customise the gauges. The only problem is it only works in windows.
if you are just covering attacks, just catch up and dont take front at all and make sure you are really tucked in and covered from the wind so you maximizing drag, your aim is to create a bridge for the pack to catch and drag them back. its looks bad but its how you counter attacks, by making them drag you along, if they nudge their elbow just shake your head, you are playing the game and he aint your team mate. if you dont want to lead, drift wide and sit up. People will always ride pass you. Also enjoying your videos, keep it up bud. Thats a pretty good HR you got there whats your max?
Thanks for the tip. I thought about that point the other day about not sitting on the front in that particular break I got into. That would have been the best option, but I just didn’t think about it at the time. Although then I’d also have to get round a mental block of “just sitting on” for the ride 😆 The good thing about rewatching these videos is the learning points I can take from the races, from new situations I’ve not been in.
