    what’s your thoughts on the ole “up up up?!” in races!?

    • @mr_musette
      @mr_musette 11 месяцев назад +1

      It's awful, I think there would be more successful breakaways if people didn't do it and it makes the racing less exciting because of it. What was the abuse towards the dynamo riders about? I saw one swerved off his line near the start, but interested to know what the other bits were about? I ride with them so can give some constructive feedback 😉

      @@mr_musette I’m not sure. I think as we was going up the drag he unclipped and wobbled, and rider next to me shouted at him 😂

      Apparently that mouthy guy (#99?) has a reputation for being quite verbal. All riders were pretty twitchy on the headwind S section for the first few laps. Nice footage though @michaelgraycycling some solid attempts to make a break but too much motivation in the group to let it stick. Shame you missed the sprint, I'm still trying to work out how I managed a 3rd on the bike throw (was sure I'd missed out!), hairy legs repesenting

      @@thomassutton1609 one of the reasons I just wanted to be near the front all the time. Came off in the summer so trying to ride near the front where it’s safer.
      Yea, but I don’t know about you, I enjoy the verbals and the different characters. Makes it a little more fun, and just take it with a pinch of salt.
      And fair play to you. What the hell are the rest of us playing at with our shaven legs ha

    I’m new to this, what are they wanting when saying up up?

    • @michaelgraycycling
      @michaelgraycycling  11 месяцев назад +1

      Basically it means speed up.
      In this scenario I said it, because it was the last lap. The people in front of me started slowing down. And when that happens everyone from behind over takes us. Means we go back of the pack. Which means you lose a good position that you got for the last lap.

    What software do you use to capture both MPH and KPH on your video?

    • @michaelgraycycling
      @michaelgraycycling  11 месяцев назад

      I use a software called Dashware. Upload my footage. Upload my Strava file. Then select the buttons I want to use.

      After jumping on every attack, and pulling people back all race, then getting boxed in for the last lap, I was left with little choice apart from trying to get people to work for me 🤣 Last resorts, a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do 🤦‍♂️🤣

    I don't use a bike for racing. It's a tool for fitness and the pleasure of getting outdoors for peace of mind. Racing is expensive and reaps very little rewards. You even get forgotten about very quickly so why invest in it in the first place.

      I don't use a bike for pleasure or fitness. It's a tool for fun, thrilling, exciting competition and pure joy. Riding for fitness or, god forbid, just to get outdoors reaps very little rewards. Not only do you get forgotten, but riding just for fitness, no one EVER gets to know about it so why invest in it in the first place?

      @@gangstermonke1 I didn't stupidly comment not knowing anything about racing. I raced mountainbikes a lot and I have medals to prove it because I podiumed quite a few times and won some nice prizes. Hence the reason I said you are forgotten about quite quickly. And being a mountainbiker I would argue I am way more badass than some pussy roadie that sheds tears when they cross the finish line. Yeah you're right I wouldn't win any races now that's because I'm in my sixties now. You'll be in the same situation someday mouth.
