Turn Signal Lights for INDOOR use? Product demo/review.
I was sent a turn signal/back up light to do a product demo/review. I don't need any exterior lights but I do need a few interior lights for an interior remodel. I have done it before and will do it again!

How to Build a Teardrop Camper Part 1. Floor Assembly (Vendor Display Build)
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.2 года назад
I recently found a used 4x8 trailer on marketplace. My plan was to build a small camper but it turns out an acquaintance needed a Teardrop camper to display her products at local farm markets. I am building it like I would a standard camper, I'm just doing a custom galley based on her needs and leaving the inside natural. She could toss in a mattress and camp if she wanted to. The camper is pow...

Hi, I like how you "float" your filon. I decided to do just that with my teardrop build. The only problem is it shrinks and expands and warps the filon. Is this something you just live with or how do you avoid that? Yours looks so good.
@@danielburrell7470 no they all do that. If that bothers you, you can glue it. I float it to make future repairs easier. Thanks for watching!
Wow! In my head, it seemed easier 😂 I hope I can eventually be able to build one. Trying to wrap my mind around how this is waterproof and avoid leaks through screws. I just don’t seem to understand how this works.
@@carolmouzinho5760 butyl tape under the trim and Rv Proflex sealant on the edges. I have a complete build series of this exact camper that goes over all that. Thank for watching! Here is the link to the build playlist ruclips.net/p/PLf_NTqHzH6hepyG7HR1TCsN088DitpDMl
How did you dispose of the trailer full of trash?
@@rossbaiza9369 I recycled all the metal and took the rest to the landfill. (dump) Thanks for watching!
Thanks. Following your video I was able to install the same converter in a 2004 Fleetwood Taos popup that had a failed Centurion unit. The new one works fine. The black shore wire attached differently on the old unit so your instructiions made it clear as the WFCO converter didn,t have any. Thanks again and I enjoy watching you build your camperes.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you found the video useful. I'm going to be starting another now that my health has improved. BUILD ON!
te amo
Do you use any glue or just screwed under trims/edges?
I don't use glue at all on the filon skin. It is floated. The trim, windows, doors, fan and anything else that is attached to, or goes through the camper is enough to hold the skin. Thanks for watching!
What width/type of staple are you using in the video? Also is there a name for the utility plywood or is that just what they call it?
They are 3/4" crown staples. It is called utility plywood but is also known as underlayment. It is 1/8" thick. Thanks for watching.
Also is it necessary to use sanded plywood for the exterior wall? I am thinking of doing 1/4 wall with 3/4 insulation and 1x inner frame with 1/4 inner wall. Thanks!
I don't use it. I use exterior grade. Thanks for watching
I don't have tabs to bolt to but I have a 2x4 1/8 inch box frame the middle supports are smaller. Should I just bolt to the cross supports? Bolt through the main frame Screw to the main frame with Tek screws (self tapping metal screws) Get tabs welded on? Or maybe do riv nuts in the main frame?
I recommend just getting the tabs welded on. It's just easier to fasten and it would be removable in the future should the need arise. Thanks for watching!
Just got a complete pop up camper with title for $100. I’m gettin ready to tear it down and build a teardrop on the frame so I’m definitely going to follow your steps 😊 any recommendations on building it lighter would be awesome cuz I need to keep it around 1200lbs lol
Most I have built have been under 1200 lbs. Thanks for watching!
Hello. Since I can't afford to buy a caravan, I want to build it myself. But I can't find a drawing diagram with all the dimensions. I would like to ask if you could help me with a project. I have found a person who will do the cutting on a cnc machine. Thank you so much. Email rosengrozev@gmail.com
Which router bit did you use for this?
Bottom bearing flush trim bit. Thanks for watching
Very nice
Thank you and thanks for watching!
What is the white material you used for the outside?
It's called Filon. Thanks for watching
Čau kámo super karavan budu také dělat podle tebe

Thank you. Thanks for watching!

Nice to see this teardown. I'm looking at using a popup for my trailer build.
I'm using that frame for my next build. Its in my backyard now. Thanks for watching!
Better frame than expected

What is the t bar black one name
It's an offset T trim. It's available at Vintage Technology. Thanks for watching!
With that converter, you can actually install tandum breakers, 40/15 and 20/20 . That will give you two additional circuits for 110.
Always, always, always connect your ground first, neutral next, then your feed.
What sizes is you door if I may ask .
Beautiful job
Thanks and thanks for watching

I like vintage too! But I do want a teardrop!
Someday hopefully my dreams will come true and I’ll have a teardrop ♥️

So no glue on the skin?
I don't glue the skin. Some do but I don't. Thanks for watching
hi, would you mind sharing the link or source for black edge trim and aluminum trim as well as Pylon sheets?
I get all of that at Bontragers RV Surplus store in White Pigeon Michigan. Unfortunately, they don't ship large stuff. Recpro.com sells the Filon and you can get the trim in silver from Vintage Technology in Union City Michigan. They have a website and will ship stuff. I don't know the website but a quick Google search will provide the website for you. Thanks for watching and BUILD ON!
If you like it, it's all that matters. 👍

You did nothing to seal the plywood before you attached it to the frame?
It's exterior grade plywood and I did seal the edges with polyurethane. Thanks for watching
I own a sign shop. We NEVER use spray on graphics. That "sticker" should be wrap vinyl meaming air egress rear psa. You'll have bubbles the minute it his sun.
I saw it a year after it was built and it spent that year in Texas. I saw it in Arkansas and the decals were fine. That said, this camper was built for a homeless Texas woman and I seriously doubt she cares if the decals get bubbles in them. She received this camper for FREE. The decals were her choice. I appreciate your insight and thank you for watching!
I was told not to hook up dc grounds to the ac ground bar?
This is true but you have to ground the ground bar to the trailer frame. Thanks for watching.
Do you have the plans?
No but if you watch the donatuon build playlist, it is a step by step how to series of this exact camper. Thanks for watching
Glad to see you got well again,I built my trailer I'm on the door trim on the back I'm using aluminum checker plate for trim,I ended up using poor man's fiberglass with sheets and water proof glue,I rounded my corners no side trim and right now I'm trying to figure out what kind of paint to stray on
Thanks for watching. Build On!
@@DIYTearDropJay Jay i was wondering on recommended paint to use ,so i am using a spray gun
@@kevinswanson3910 I'm not sure man, I use Filon
Very nice job!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Why did you use the extra pocket screws and didn't they run into the other screws holding the spars in?
I use the pocket screws as extra support for the spars. My roofs are pretty strong. I haven't had any issues with them running into the other screws. Thanks for watching
So your feet and head have to be under shelves to sleep? You would have a lot more room in a van
No, they don't have to. It's up to you if you design it that way. A van is bigger so yeah, you will definitely have more room, I think that goes without saying and is pretty obvious. Thanks for watching
I'm totally new to any type of "from scratch" construction. I fixed some bathroom walls in my old house that rotted, but otherwise nothing. I see a LOT of great pointers that I can use. I bought the trailer for $800, it was a tear drop that was rotted. Tore it down to the trailer. I have SO many questions because I get a LOT of advice, but all from people whom have never built one. Beyond that, I don't know tools so forgive my ignorance. I see you did the inside FIRST, then outside when adding the roof/ceiling. I would appreciate any/all feedback you could give! :) This looks EXACTLY like the shape of mine! :). I do not have extra cash to spare, so I'm going as economical as I can, but still want it to be free of leaks. 1) What is the gun with the hose attached and what is in it? Is that a nail gun or some type of adhesive gun? 2) Did you undercoat the plywood underneath with anything?
I have a complete build playlist of this exact camper here on RUclips. It's several videos but I explained everything. You will find a link to that playlist below. I use marine grade or exterior grade plywood so I don't coat the underside. If you want to do that, I recommend a quality exterior house paint. The bottom only sees water when it rains while traveling. The nail gun I use is just a cheap, Harbor Freight pneumatic nail/staple gun combo. I use 3/4 inch crown staples in the gun. I recommend you join DIY Teardrop Campers Community on Facebook (my group) There are alot of helpful members in that group. You can send me a Private message on Facebook you have any more questions Thanks for watching and BUILD ON! ruclips.net/p/PLf_NTqHzH6hepyG7HR1TCsN088DitpDMl
