Yeah, I like trolls, let's troll the trolls. I do believe many of them are middle aged men that still live with their mommy and have never had a girlfriend. A troll gets self satisfaction out of his own stupid comments and also thinking that no-one can catch him , that's why as you stated, they have numerous accounts with made up names/numbers, no profile picture, no content and usually 1 or 2 subscribers which are in fact themselves from their other channels 😂

The Philippine govt is obviously looking to weed out folks they don't like for reasons unknown to the expat community despite the fact those individuals probably haven't violated any Philippine laws, and expats are going to have to run and endure the stress of this BI gauntlet of questions every other month. Most expats who have come here had planned their move for many months or years before cutting the cord on their home country, and now, that arduous process could be upended for any one of unknown reasons. The bottom line is that fewer people will visit the Phils or consider retirement there, there will be less foreign money spent in the Phils, and there will be many expats who can't move back to their native countries (for a variety of reasons) and will just overstay creating a tremendous unintended problem for the Philippine govt. This is bureaucratic govt at its worst.

Filipino immigration officials are cracking down on "cheap Charlies" and "bad apples". Temporary tourist visas and extensions have been promoted by popular youtubers. Many passport bros flooded the country and started abusing this visa loophole. Friend of mine got denied an extension last week after staying in the Philippines for the previous 14 months. He did not have a good enough reason to keep staying in the Philippines. Having a Filipino girlfriend is not a reason for them to extend your tourist visa anymore. Yes, they are cracking down because the system has been abused by too many "tourists".

It's a sobering thing to realize that even paradise has its worrisome complications and ever-looming bureaucracy. The price of civilization, I suppose. Nonetheless, I really do hope that you'll be able to make whatever new regulations that arise work out in your favor. I have been in the Philippines almost 2 years. Never had a problem with extension. Maybe if the immigration did their job, from the time I got my first extension back in 2022, this latest purge on long term tourist would not have happened. The general leniency of the immigration have given tourist a false sense of security. Hopefully they will at least give me, time to exit the Philippines, this September . Time to arrange a flight, and exit visa.
