Sounds like you’ve done your homework. I appreciate the ticket information, that’s very clear now 👍. Im excited for our near future journey there this year and Im excited for your journey too. Grab a Red Hoarse and Chill! 😉✌🏻🇵🇭🌴
I'm retiring the end of August. By mid-October I'll be in Cebu City for at least a Six Month Vacation. If I acclimate, I'll stay. If not, Plan B, C or D. Before I leave, I'll hit a Currency Exchange to get a few hundred dollars worth of Mixed Bills... The Exchange Rate won't be great, but it will be one less thing to do when I'm scatter brained after a flight.
Two days ago I flew Japan Airlines from New York City to Bangkok. The ticket agent asked me how long I was staying in Bangkok. I replied, "15 days." He gave me my ticket. That was it. In ten years and nine trips to Thailand no airline has asked me for onward ticket. Nor has Immigration.
This is what I received in my email from Delta 2 days ago, "Your destination requires a return ticket. Please see a Delta agent upon airport arrival." As far as the Philippines go, since they have implemented etravel, they may not ask, but better safe than sorry.

I'm continuing my 20+ years living abroad in a few months. This time permanently. I'm going minimalist, computer backpack and a suitcase.
I've scaled down drastically!
