6 weeks ago I got my waiver online. I was charged the express fee. When I left last week, I needed the receipt for the waiver, as well as the clearance.
Hi John! Thanks for the video! Im right there with you on driving there.. I've n too many expats who do buy or rent scooters and then end up having an accident and banging themselves up. Not worth it. Too easy to grab a jeepney or trike and not that costly either. When I'm there if we want to make a road trip I'll get a driver and a van or take a bus.. burger looked great! Take care!
Glad you're getting settled. Most roof tops in the Philippines are metal so when it rains hard it sounds like a bunch of drums. Funny that I live a block away from Oliie's and still haven't tried it. There's a new Thai restaurant called Fragrant past ABC hotel that is supposedly good, I will have to give that a shot this week.
Would you tell a bit more about this Thai restaurant? I dined at the Thai restaurant fronting the ABC Hotel, one year ago & it was not uplifting; was poor to my US taste of Thai. Are you aware, US citizens remain responsible for IRS taxes, regardless of where you live. (8:49) Is tea-bag,; a double-entendre?
@@yeffblanco Fragrant Thai restaurant is past ABC and Kona's on the left side street. I ate there about a week ago and unfortunately I wasn't impressed. As for taxes, it is true that we still have file taxes even if living overseas. I used FreeTaxUSA online last year and I would recommend it for anyone filing taxes outside of the USA.
Great video, John. Question…….what is the name of the place you went to for your Visa Extension, and where exactly is it located? Thanks so much, and keep up the great work. 🍻
You’re living the life bro and that hamburger looks super good!!! Being happy is what it’s about and give it time you will be on a bike LOL 😂 every time I watch one of these videos you get me hungry
Wow! Has it been a month already? My husband and son both have their visas stamped for one year having the Balikbayan privilege like me. We are car shopping right now so we will have our own transportation but we're not in a hurry as trikes, jeepneys and buses are available anytime.
Hello sir. Enjoyed the video. The background music is a heck of a distraction and is competing with you for the attention of the viewer. take care. -Dave in Cincinnati
It really depends where you go, most places I have went are under 6 0r 7 US. there are some upscale places are around 10 per person. considering Taco Bell was 14 dollars in the US for 2 chicken taco's and a drink when I was there.
$23 for a burger 🍔 did you get a lap dance or discount for next visit? Ollie’s burger must be for foreigners only. That’s alot of Philippine pesos for a burger. I can make a burger for you and just give me $13 it’s gonna come with Halo-halo 😊😅😮
$21.89 for 2 Double Cheeseburgers 4 beers and an order of Mojo's. With my math that's $11 each which beats your $13 and I'd rather have the beer instead of Halo-Halo. A lot of foreigners come from America for vacation and want an occasional good burger, that's why I tried it posted it. I prefer to stick to Filipino food!
dont understand your situation, you have an american girlfriend there thats going back to the USA? You have a filipina woman on your walk around - who is she?? You mentioned a house next to your studio that you have access to?? Please explain all this and show.
My last experience in the PI was 1973, so it changed a lot.
Definitely! My first time was 2011 and it has changed drastically since then!
Glad it worked out for you dude but never give up your passport man..

$22 USD for that food?
I thought the cost of living was a lot better than it is in North America.
