There are some things i don't like about him but i like the writing around Jeffrey overall. its such a shame the 3rd game just use him purely for those fetish routes

The description says that you see Nicole "acting different' but really, this is how she acted in the other games as well. The difference here is that the perspective is from Jecka's POV and as such, we don't see Nicole's actions as sympathetic. This shift of perspective also doesn't show her inner thoughts or what she thinks. You just see her actions for what they are: Evil, manipulative, horrible. She isn't really "more unhinged" (remember, she got Megans boyfriend to send Nicole pics of him nude with shit like "Nicoles bitch" and "Megan is a slut" and that's pretty comparable to what she did with Jeckas dad in a way), we just don't see her in a sympathetic light anymore since we shifted from her perspective. When we see her abused and sexually harassed by teachers and classmates, it's easy for us to justify it. When we DON'T see that, we don't justify her actions. We don't make excuses for her and we see the actions in a much more unbiased way. To that point, this game showed how awful Jecka can be. She didn't care about Jeffery dying, she cared she was losing her best client. She didn't care she killed Ari, she even BLAMED Ari. Jecka is pretty comparable to Nicole in that when given the ability to do some fucked up shit that screws other people over, she will. Not sure if they intended on doing this or if it was pure luck, but the change of POV from Nicole to Jecka just gives us a more unbiased look at how Nicole is. The best thing the game did was simply shift POV because it lets us realize "wow, from the outside looking in, not seeing all the shit she endures, this is REALLY EVIL of her to do" Probably not intentional, but it's interesting fr

I saw someone point out that you can describe each route by who dies. Kelly, Nicole, Jecka, Jeffery, Ari and... was it only 5 endings? or 6? Either way, kinda fucked up

What I will clarify is the WS thing and SC thing, the WS thing has a route where Jeffery switches up simply at the promise of attention (which is why he joined in the first place) and he joined the SC so in some roundabout stupid way the people bashing on him will become bigots? Look, this guy is a GRADE A MORON and should be admonished for joining these groups in the first place even if they were done with non malicious intent, but I don’t like if the story ENDS at “He joined the SC and a WS group” when that’s not the full story.

When ranking the male characters, I find Jeffery the most difficult, and I think that's because he's unrealistic. He's supposed to represent all of these cringey traits of a nerd archetype, but there's just too much in one bag with him. On the one hand, he's supposed to be shy. But on the other, he always goes out of his way to try to socialize with people who ridicule him. (Instead of sticking with the "anime club".) This leads to all sorts of interactions that I think he wouldn't otherwise have, given his tastes. He's designed to hate, moreso than with any other single character. Whether that's a conscious decision or just dev neurosis is anybody's take.

By basically having Jeffery as the creator's self-insert, the lines between what Jeffery, the CHARACTER, and what sbn3, the CREATOR actually believe and act is really blurred. I have a video on the flipside myself, and after learning more about how sbn3 actually seems to be I think I gave him the benefit of the doubt wayy too many times. Sweet video! Your Class of 09 ones are great!

I had mix feelings about Nicole when I watched gameplays of the 3 games, but I do like how the way you describe on how she treating/thinking about the people she is around with that I also came to a semi agreement. She can do nice things for people but I guess to her protective if people cross a line or disagrees with her, she won't hesitate to the person's situation worse. But I also think to the people who are close to her personally, no matter if it's caused by her consequences of her actions. I like to think she wants someone to be in her life, obviously not a significant other but a least someone she can stand with so she doesn't feel less alone then she already does. I guess on how I feel about her, it's more pity then empathy
