- Not much longer after the Xbox showcase in which 3 Atlus games were shown metaphor Re Fantazio, Persona 5 Tactics and Persona 3 Reload the Persona 3 remake that i discussed in my previous video about persona 3 remake being their worst kept secret.
So persona 3 reload has fully been shown alongside a longer trailer or persona 5 Tactica, ill cover the Tactica stuff in its own video as it deserves it, today i want to go through the new developments we have seen since the official announcement of Persona 3 re-load.
In this video i cover all the current news and updates in regards to the Persona 3 Remake/ Persona 3 Reload, in regards to the news of it being a remixed version of the vanilla game minus the answer epilogue and the female protaganist, the voice actor controversy due to the recast of the members of the persona 3 Cast In Japanese dub and In the Western English dub.
the persona 3 remake looks promising and there will be more news updates in regards to persona 3 remake and persona 5 tactics/p5t/ persona 5 Tactica

And immediately after i made my video the announcement that each leak for the game would happen at each full moon this year happened so ill be making update videos on this

i feel like it having fes content was a given since it would feel weird for the best character in the game aigis to not have a social link honestly i just hope since this is a remake of persona 3 not portable that MC can use all weapon types and is not just stuck to swords after all is it really persona 3 if i cant hit shadows with a oversized hammer
so i dont think they will change the structure of tartarus but they will likely build visual aspects to each floor to better divide them(not every floor but a certain amout will have a type of visual)
The "criticals" are in the original game. They're cinematic atttacks that do more damage but arent actual critical downs.
I seriously hope they keep the fusion spells and all weapon types for MC. The best things about Persona 3 for sure

Ikr, more than one youtuber said this already. I think it was pretty much a missinterpretation or miss wording from the news about the english cast change.
It would be really weird if they recast the japanese voices, cause japan is pretty careful to keep the same voices for all media those chacters appear, it would be like a first time for me seeing such thing happen.

I mean, there's bound to be at least some recasting in Japanese, unless they're going to just reuse the voice samples from the original.

Not having femc is fine for me as it is persona 3 remake not p3p remake I know that atlus want to emphasize the story of makoto and for the answer knowing atlus it will probably be a dlc in the future maybe femc too
I hope they make a miles moralas style game where its the answer in this engine so the game is cheap and accessible because we wont be seeing it in this release unfortunately i hope for femc and answer dlc but we can only hope

Honestly still curious what the reasons for the complete voice cast change are. Since I'm not convinced 1 or 2 possibly troublesome vas was the actual reason. Also when was it stated that the Japanese cast was being replaced.

Well just learned that Katrina one of the infamous localizers worked on p3r so that sucks ( but I should note that she probably is only doing UI stuff since she does not work at Sega anymore so that's a good thing for now).

I knew of the controversy involving Vic Mignogna because I watched some RUclips videos about him and damn it I just learned about Karen Strassman and the bullshit she is involved with. Now I can see why they would want to a full recast just to be on the safe side. Yes it sucks but they wanted to be safe than sorry.

@@alexterieur8813 When you have none of the allegations confirmed to be true, and even have anime new network fabricate evidence where they were sharing pictures out of context, the peeps in those pictures had to tell them that those interactions were consensual. Also, no police reports, and then you have the related victims saying that after the case, they would share hard evidence proving his guilt, yet it looks like they were lying since they never shared anything and have just moved past the hearing like it was nothing.

In the metoo movement, 2 different fans + 2 different voice actresses said the VA of Junpei had been inappropriate/sexually harassing them. Dont know the details of the accusations but after a internal investigation by Funimation he was fired, and subsequently fired from other contracts as well. He then filed a defamation lawsuit against funimation and the 2 fans + 1 of the VA that accused him. His legal fees were paid by crowdfunding by his fans. He lost the trial + had to pay the legal fees for the 2 fans i think. He tried to get the Supreme Court to review the case but the Supreme court denied it. Dont know much about Karen Strasdman
Karen Strasdman was basically called out for liking tweets/supporting Trump during Covid from what I could tell. So nothing legal, the studio probably just didn’t want to bother with the potential backlash

as someone who has never played p3, should I start approaching the game with this remake?
I'd say wait until we know what the game will have and whatnot. Only then we could fully say if this is the first version you should play.
The thing is it's going to have the quality of life changes from both FES and Portable it will just be missing The Answer and FemC. I think you should play this first and if you really want to try those two things, play Portable and FES after bc I think you can jump directly into either without playing the main game again.
My opinion is play portable if you wanna play the game now your choice if you emulate it or buy it on modern consoles just know they havent fixed the audio yet so some sfx sound rly crap
Portable has party member control and has it plays more like persona 4 and 5
3 was the first of the format and had some mechanics that were very challenging if you want a casual way to go through the game in a style that matches the other games past it portable all the way, and for experiencing the answer id honestly watch a video on it, its really challenging and grindy for closure of the persona 3 cast

I’m kind disappointed that the answer is gone because the story was so good even if the gameplay back then was awful. But femc returning is very ok with me. The only thing good about that route was the soundtrack and her design
Nah the answer was horrible. Quite literally ruined the message of 3 to for some reason to keep the spin-offs cannon. I’m glad it’s gone honestly
@@totallyadude4032 I think the answer represents perfect how certain people can handle death. A death of a loved one can always throw a family or a group of people into caos and that’s what happened. Everyone resorted to fighting each other, and it was up to Aigis to take the burden that was upon everyone else

Literally you have makoto sacrificing for everyone so that “depression and life-ending wishes” (erebus) would not taint the world. Then u have The Answer which states that everyone has their own coping with people dying.
So you have 2 sides of the medal. A reason to be selfless and help others, and a reason to be selfish and cope with pain

I always wanted to give this franchise a try but never did because all of the new games only had male MCs. I'm a girl and never wanted to play through a mans perspective of flirting with his colleagues. Sad that this trend is continuing but I understand that they want to focus on one character's story and flesh that out. Maybe in the future they'll add FemMC and I can finally give the persona games a try, they look really cool.
Its really a shame that the expectations are so high for a female protag I would be quite happy with a pokemon style is your chosen one a boy or a girl
But unfortunately with the femc route having so much exclusive content it sets the bar so high that if they did another one for people like us the fans who want a separate set of social links, dating and soundtrack will be disappointed
If they remake persona 4 i hope they make the protagonists gender an optional thing
I would still give it a try because the romance isn't always forced. In P5 you can basically date the boys, #TeamAkechi

@@Mephistofeles I don't see how it's stupid. I know myself and think I'd have a lot less enjoyable time playing through a story that's built specifically for a male character and their interactions. I know plenty of girls who don't mind this at all and love the series but I'm not one of them. Why would I play something if I know I'm going to be bothered by it. Especially considering how important dating and relationships seem when the male gaze and harem tropes are very prominent in this game.

I'm not even gonna dignify the buzzwords, but here, let me tell you a little secret: no relationship in a persona game, even 3, tue first with the social link mechanic, is mandatory to be romantic,all characters, female included, can just be friends, i know, for you people its a strange concept that two human beings can interact withouth wanting to fuck each other, but yes, you can do this, things only go a romantic way because the PLAYER can choose to, not because the game forces you, also, people JOKE about harem, but the only one that doenst outright punishes the player for going this route is 3, again, because it was the first of its kind, and second, there is no "male gaze" fck off with this bs, what you have is absolutely OPTIONAL cosmetics that most players wouldnt even find in the game withouth going out of their way to do so, again, NOTHING is forced on the player.... Seriously, i wonder if you also get bothered by the "female gaze" when it happens on a male character, like in every fighting game ever or any movie with the rock, chris hemsworth or henry calvil in it.
