The PHILOSOPHER Who Literally URINATED On People: Diogenes The Cynic
This video explain the life and philosophy of Diogenes the Cynic, an unconventional Greek philosopher who lived a life of radical simplicity to critique societal norms and materialism. Born into privilege in Sinope, Diogenes was exiled after a scandal involving currency debasement, leading him to embrace the Cynic philosophy in Athens. Rejecting conventional comforts, he lived in a ceramic jar and practiced extreme poverty to highlight the futility of material desires. He was a kind of philosopher who literally urinated on people who used to throw bones at him.
Diogenes advocated for freedom through simplicity, claiming that excessive wealth enslaves people. His famous encounters, such as ...

The Perfect Philosopher for Modern Times| Immanuel Kant
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.4 часа назад
I've put Immanuel kant as the perfect philosopher for modern times because his philosophy offers profound insights for modern society, especially as many struggle with nihilism, depression, and a culture that increasingly normalizes self-interest and superficial success. Kant, a deeply disciplined thinker who spent most of his life in modest surroundings, developed a philosophy grounded in auto...

Просмотров 3,1 тыс.14 часов назад
Carl Jung experienced the depths of the human psyche, proposing that modern society's relentless pace and constant distractions have led to a profound disconnection from our souls. He argued that this loss of connection is a primary cause of the widespread feelings of emptiness and dissatisfaction that plague many individuals today. Central to Jung's psychological theory is the concept of indiv...
Notes from UNDERGROUND: This Is Why You'll NEVER Be HAPPY!
Просмотров 11 тыс.19 часов назад
Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Notes from Underground critiques the rationalist ideas of his time, particularly those put forth in Nikolay Chernyshevsky's What Is to Be Done?, a work that promotes a utopia based on self-interest and rationalism. Dostoevsky saw in these ideas a threat to human freedom, believing that an over-reliance on rationality could lead to a deterministic and ultimately nihilistic wo...

Im not sure, the approach seems manipulative, so we lose even if victorious and even win over everyone by being liked. The alternative is to actually be humble and be willing to be strong and if you lose, at least you didnt lie, steal, or feign weakness to get ahead. But I do understand, often when Ive given my best others have stolen my ideas, taken the credit, or made me an outcast. Essentially this method is a way to not be eaten in a toxic society.
