Virat in bowling friendly matches , kl in the subcontinent , gill in SENA etc.) this not how a captain should be treated even after the fact that he is ready to do anything play cricket at the international level

It's frustrating honestly. The next test series is in England they can actually play county or work with the coaches to improve their techniques, something which Kohli did before 2018. People talk about sachin playing domestic cricket but they don't consider the fact that before 2013, sachin had played in 2009 in the ranji trophy and back then you didn't have this much cricket going on. Players should really focus on improving the technique rn

I knew someone who had temper issues, and once hit his then gf. This became a huge issue, and he had to publicly apologise and promised in front of everyone that he’ll go to therapy. He went to therapy once and made a huge deal out of it, posted it all over socials and told every living soul about it. He never went to a second therapy session, and his anger issues never went anywhere. He had good PR, but the fundamental issue never changed.

Indian cricket has become a business, not a sport anymore. Rohit sharma is a bad test player but still plays because of his following. Kohli is choking in test cricket since 4years but, nobody dare to tell him on his face neither he correct it. I believe the reason for all this mess is Indian crowd who hardly knows the sport. They just someone to worship... atleast choose the right one... we have so much of unemployed youth in India. It's scary future... everybody is using them for their personal business plans.

Brand value has become more important than runs and stats. Karun Nair put in a majestic performance of consistency and still did not get selected in Champions Trophy. Players are getting drafted into Indian team based on IPL (T20) performances. The mainstream players are not getting rest too. Strictly, consistent Ranji Trophy players should get drafted in to Indian test squad, consistency in Duleep Trophy should be the benchmark for getting selected in ODI Team and SMAT and IPL Performances should dictate T20 selection. Otherwise, players will get tired, which results in injuries. Also, consistency in domestic cricket will not have any value. Bowlers should be nurtured well as well along with all-rounders and batters. It is high time the future of Indian Cricket should be taken care off.

The NZ series scheduling is also fault of BCCI who kept match in Bengaluru , Pune and kept BAN series match in kanpur. BCCI should have scheduled some india a , intrasquad matches and players who performed in vijay Hazare ttrophy to have intersquad matches with Indian team ahead of champions trophy

Honestly there are a bunch of players who have performed in the domestic circuit but have gotten no chance. It almost feels like as a player, it would be better to be from a country like new zealand, bangladesh or south africa just because you have a better chance of facing better oppositions to hone in your skills and you also get more opportunities to play at the higher levels due to less competition

All of this is outrageous. Gautam Ghambhir is a hypocrite and is not telling the truth about underperforming senior players who are not setting the right example for the youngsters. Not only this but the BCCI has lost complete control over their “superstar senior players” and they think that they can run everything while the youngsters who are working extremely hard are not getting selected into the Indian Test team and the Indian ODI Team. Indian T20 Squad is actually doing so very well under Gautam Gambhir but we need different coaches for different formats, different team managements for different formats, and different players for different formats because then we can have different approaches for different teams.

Its all good points but i will raise a dillema : Its good if supar stars like vk and ro play as it promotes domestic and gain financial growth in domestic. But what i really agree with you is that playing ranaji after the damage is done is not the way but okay they are playing. But the timing part is also essential. We have odis and champion trophy and ipl ahead and plenty of time for the next test. So playing ranji is kinda stupid. And the importance of selection based on playing ranaji and pr is a shit show for us in domestic and international
