    Basically as i understand from your video, Virat is facing 2 issues, first: wildly chasing the 6th+ stumps balls. Second even for the balls in 4th stump moving away from him where he genuinely needs to drive and make runs he is failing to read the line of the ball correctly and due to which he is resorting to this 3 point of contact trigger movement to gradually land in the right line but 3 points of contact are too much to survive and balls ends up taking his edge (his bat coming in from the slips also contributes to this as a straight bat would be better suited to avoid balls leaving the stumps).

    If you see his batting in 2014 BGT and after that , you will notice he was chasing an even wider ball and it used to get over the slips but at the same time he was scoring runs.
    He had technical flaws back then but he ignored ..he used to chase wider balls more often. I knew at that point also that in future this will bite him for sure and look at the situation now. The problem is not that you have flaws in your technique but knowing that you have flaws in your technique and you are not doing anything to improve your flaws from the past 5 years is the real problem. It is called the ego of not accepting the flaws in yourself and giving yourself false hope that you are perfect and will eventually overcome with time 🤡 That's what happened with him. Time passed by and he kept on waiting that it is just a bad time and eventually things will be back to normal.
    But someone please tell him that things will become more ugly if he does not improve , the opposition team will exploit him more. I don't know why he carries so much ego ..bro you are already finished and do not want to improve.

    If you watch Jarrod Kimber, you would know that after COVID, kookaburra made some changes to their ball which makes the new ball swing a little more than it swung before COVID.
    This means that the front foot cover drive which is a trademark shot of Virat Kohli, needs to be really considered because with more swing, chances of perfect execution of the shot are much less.

    very good analysis and great video! glad to have found your channel. It’s a combination of 2 things. a physical problem; his reflex time has slowed. it doesn’t need to be by much, but at 36 he just can’t react like he did when he was 27. the other problem is mental; he hasn’t got a plan B to compensate for the slowing of reflexes. this is the mark of a true champion. someone who can acknowledge a weakness and find a new strategy late in their career. Steve Smith is 35, only one year younger than Kholi. he too is at the end of his career and can no longer play with the same freedom and flair from 10 years ago. but we saw his 140 during the 4th test of Border-Gaviskar series that was instrumental in Australia’s victory. he has found a way to compensate for the slowing of reflexes. the mark of a true champion. the other factor is pressure. I've never seen Kholi as someone who can stand up when his team needs him. when your back is against the wall. when the stakes are high, when the team needs something special to save a match, he rarely performs. too many World Cup failures for me to rank him amongst the true greats.

    Indian cricket should prioritize developing the next generation of players through our strong domestic structure. With tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare, and Syed Mushtaq Ali, we have a rich talent pool ready to be nurtured. Focusing on these players not only ensures long-term sustainability for the national team but also builds depth, enabling India to remain competitive globally. Wasting time and resources on players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who have accumulated huge wealth and may not be as invested in performances as they once were, is irresponsible. Their continued selection, despite poor performances, holds back emerging talent who could contribute more to the team's future success. Ashwin, on the other hand, showed great maturity by deciding to retire, making way for fresh talent to step up. His decision was commendable and should be a model for others, as it creates space for the next generation of cricketers. By investing in grassroots cricket and promoting young talent, we can ensure a brighter future for Indian cricket and maintain our legacy.

    See guys, I really do not understand this concept of weakening of reflexes and movement in late 30s. After all, guys like Rohit and Virat are just 36-37 years of age. Yes, it's a later age for sports, but it is still not as bad as critics are making it look. You go to the IPL, you can see that if a CSK spinner is on, MSD will still knock the bails off at the age of 42-43 just as fast as he did in his 20s. An age of 45-50 is reasonable for this statement, but not late 30s.
    Plus, if there is a player at the international level, he certainly HAS TO move. That is not a choice given to the player. So if any player is playing at that level, he certainly has the reflexes and movement required.
    By the way, Virat and Rohit are there in the slips as well, again proving my point.

      in reflexes deteriorating in batting it mainly comes down to the eye most people cant avoid it to make up for it they make changes to their movement at crease or stance but that brings a whole lot of problems
      as you are saying about slips look at raina he is still so fine at some exibition games but he certainly cant bat at int level same for dhoni maybe he can slog few ball but first of all if he batted long enough his knees would give up
      you see this in other sports too like look at carmelo in his later years or pique and ramos or casemiro

    I think Virat is not yet over. His patience to not flirt with outside off deliveries looks definitely over. Had he shown that patience I find it hard for Aussies or any other team to get him LBW or bowled when they change their plans and bowl straight to him. It's in his advantage. But he is not making them change their line from outside off to straight and that's the problem. No fitness or energy issues and no other technical flaw. It's just to show patience and not play cover drive until he gets settled. If he is dropped that will be the first legendary player to be dropped not for technical flaws creeping in due to age or something but just one flaw of getting out caught behind or in slips.

    Just answering by seeing the thumbnail. He is not. This same thing I have seen from this so called cricket analysts 2 years back. He has been in worst form than now in 2022 where he was pressurized to be dropped from T20 cricket since his worst stats. But he came backs trong and ruled 2023. It showed he is undone but just needed to be free. He dominated T20 2022, ipl2023, wc 2023, ipl 2024. Now people saying he is done in test cricket. But he can come back strong. I feel that there is desperation from virat anti fans as they are insecure that he can come back strong again and get throned back in his cricketing world. It's not an issue since he is favoured from all sides in terms of the potential he brings to the team and opponents, his brand value and his presence that crowd needed to get entertained in stadiums. These so called analysts are hypocrites who project themselves as they are concerned about indian cricket more than their family, not talking about the facts. He is invincible in cricket for now. No one can even question him until he himself want to leave cricket. So all these stuff these guys are talking is bullshit. We can see him in ict till 2028 olympics as it was set bcz of him. By the way happy new year

      @nikhilsai3938 19 дней назад

      @@bharathikannan5952 that's absolutely true. But the fact is he has been playing more white ball cricket these days back to back which is why he is tending to attack the bowlers a lot more than trusting his defence. There are various factors for him to do so. The change in white ball game where he needs to improve his strike rate, since he has weakness in spin he wants to go hard on pacers, an ego thing that provoke him to dominate the fast bowlers since he was been the best batsman for pacers until this bgt series. If he want to prolong his career, he should stop working on T20 kind of innings as he is just playing ipl. He should completey focus on becoming more compact player rather than attacking the bowlers which he can do later if he scores runs again

Same reason he hasn’t stopped being an absolute knobhead on the field. He’s embarrassingly shoulder bumping a kid half his age undue to ego. Bruised egos swell. As he declines that urge to prove he can still hit a floater on 8th stump for 4 also grows. It’s pathetic but a joy to watch the mighty fall when they’re so arrogant.
