I do feel like us fans put blame harshly on the lower order but clearly they don't deserve the blame .the new zealand series is a blessing in disguise for us in my opinion hopefully we can work on our issues
Bro not only in home test matcues but also in away matches where lower order has helped to win or save the game. Few instances:- 2021 bgt 3rd test where Ashwin and Vihari draw the match and also the 4th match of same series where Sundar and Thakur made runs in the first innings. Same year lord's test match Shami and Bumrah helped us to reach a good Target
One more instance I could think of is the 3rd Test vs England at Mohali in 2016 where India were reduced to 204-6 in the first innings but still went on to score 417 with 50s from Aswhin and Jayant Yadav with Jadeja getting a crucial 90.
when the Indian top order started failing at home and Ashwin and Jadeja were our best batters at home made us eventually reach this stage, It doesn't matter if the lower order performs or not we need the top order to perform well rohit getting out cheaply is now a recurring fact that I started to agree with, and Gill is currently a bit inconsistent, the #5 is not fixed to a certain player, and I really need not explain the virat kohli situation, these facts make the top order a complete mess.
We've been witnessing this for quite a long time now, both home and SENA countries but we tend to forget these poor performances from the top order batters as the end result comes in our favour thanks to our lower middle order and the tailenders..... This Whitewash series against NZ was a good lesson and a big wake up call to our arrogant top order batters
Coincidently I was think it too few days back . This shows us the Importance for lower order in Indian team But The contribution of the Top order and Lower order Also with Middle order I think I Last saw in 2016 to 2019.Being the Nation with Spin turn that we are , I Think the Spin Shouldn't be our weakest point ,I get it that some times spin can be tricky for experts too but we are just purely getting Destroyed by it , But still I do Believe in our player they will bounce back stronger than ever. I hope the glory Days Come back.
todd murphy getting 5 wickets on debut easily sums up the fact that we are getting destroyed by it. Sticking to spinning pitches is like agreeing that we either win with the sword or die by the same. The Ranji pitches are also pace friendly which gave us good pacers but not enough quality batters. we really don't know what BCCI is trying to achieve.
While these instances in the home series really stand out, the partnerships between Vihari-Ashwin, Sundar-Shardul and between Bumrah-Shami in the Sydney, Gabba and the Lord's tests are an indication that this is not merely a home phenomenon but actually something that has carried on to overseas tours as well
can you make a video or wriddhiman saha and hanuma vihari please. waht are the reasons they were dropped from team despite scoring consistently and also saving some crucial matches?
india's tail is actually the head. Rohit , Kohli etc are tailenders. We should invert the batting order in Australia. With Gautam Gambhir as a coach ...anything is possible
Good analysis bro.. It was a ''perfect storm'' where top and lower order failed to click. Yes; you are right; NZ out batted India in all the matches. Thanks
I mean seriously? You blamed the series loss on the lower order. But i think it is a shame to rely on the lower order to begin with. The top and middle order should be performing
not blaming it on them at all. It’s more to convey that up until now, the lower order was saving India the blushes. The fact that they couldn’t perform exposed India’s top order
@@cricketbyjb Well, I think that you can say that they were saving India's top order from the criticism. Because when the team wins then everything even the problems are covered under the carpet. The only person that gets pointed out from the top order whether the team has won or lost is Virat.
I wish you spoke about the batting excellence displayed by the lower order in the bgt when we beat Aussie 2-1 in Australia, I know it's only a home series but it's a worthy mention

@@VipulAgarwal-f2i well i have seen a lot of people do but then again you did say nobody in their right mind does blame them

One more was the fastest fifty against england by shardul. Gabba test sunder and shardul scored crucial runs.
yes. Just wanted to keep this video about performances at home because of the recent whitewash and incredible home streak
Great analysis. Also, Pant coming in and saving our asses MULTIPLE times from the lower (middle) order also proves your point.
Probably he considers Pant as a proper batter at the top middle.

Rishabh pant is the new no 5 for now.
The fact that Rohit is missing the first two tests, the opener replacement dilemma and the captain replacement dilemma
@@Account-nx3ui captain is Bumrah we never had a dilemma with that, man has won us a test in England.

I really like the data presentation and the inferences you draw from it. It sets you guys apart from the rest. Keep it up :)

Yet Indian batsmen are paid more than Indian Bowlers in the last few years.
The issue is the top order not performing.. and not the lower order not performing that hurts
i am really feeling that australia will not let us breathe in this series

Agreed. That was our main reason for closing out the video with the stat of India's lower order at the BGT - they've saved us multiple times!
There is a high chance of Nitish kumar Reddy making debut in 1st Test because it's a dropin pitch and will be one of the fastest & bouncy pitch.
Harshit rana would be way better.
Great video guys. Complexity agree. Such a good observation
6:45 definitely
Loved the analysis❤❤
Pls make a video on RSA's test dominance from 2008-14

hey thanks! You can find all of this data on espncricinfo
% is up because the rest of the batting order sucks
Aksar patel and Washington sunder should take the mantle from Jadeja and Ashwin.
