At beginning of my brainstem stroke, I was also devastated, I knew that there was no cure for it. It is true, that when you begin early with the excercises the earlier you will recover from it. Psychologically you are already broken and do not believe in life nothing any more, that you lost very important time. Now it is 7 years ago, that mine brainstem stroke happened, so even than i started mine excersises. To late, but i started.

Neuroplasticity or brain plasticity is the ability of the nervous system to change its activity in response to intrinsic or extrinsic stimuli by reorganizing its structure, functions, or connections. That is different to each person and if not use it you will loose it. So you have to exercise every day.
