As i told earlier, i had an brainstem stroke. It has affected my whole right side. I'm paralyzed. Waching your youtube video, makes me happy. Also in the Nederland docters are negative. As you tell is, take stroke, that you are paralyzed, in your hands. Although, i have per week 2 time a physical therapist at my home, but i still work every day.

I am a stroke specialist. I had a stroke in Dec 2022. No doctors can be call a stroke doctor without the personal experience of having a stroke. You my friend having the experience of about 1 Year or more is a better person to talk about stroke than the unexperienced doctor in a stroke unit.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2004. I suffered a stroke in September, 2020, even though I was taking Eliquis, a blood thinner, morning and night. I was paralyzed on my left side. Through therapy and exercise, I walk with a cane today. Someone told me that they would rather have a stroke than have Parkinson's! Having suffered both, I choose Parkinson's any day! Never give up! I believe in hope.😊

More than 2 years on from my stroke I believe I am now making a little progress, one downside. Is my wife constantly reminding me of all the things the consultant said I shouldn’t do, I am a retired builder and am determined to make a full recovery, it may not be possible but giving up everything you used😅 to be able to do and living like a vegetable is no life at all, never give in to it

The hardest bit about recovering from a stroke I believe is the difficulty’s caused by other ailments like nerve neuropathy and arthritis, I was lucky enough to leave hospital fairly mobile and could walk and cycle but was held back by these other problems Reducing fitness levels also the negativity of the consultant does not aid recovery don’t give in to it

Hi, I am in the process of researching an idea I feel could help post-stroke individuals to communicate, particularly when they are still in that space where conversations are not easy. I cannot describe the project in detail just yet because I am testing hypotheses. I would like to hear from as many survivors as possible about what could have helped them most during the first few months of recovery if "it" was available or what seemed most difficult. Believe it or not these answers (if given) could prove or disprove the hypothesis and at that point I could disclose all of my information and we could discuss it further and possibly end up with something useful. Would you be willing to support the experiment? It could be even better to set individual phone interviews but comments right here would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks!

I would recommend you watch Episode 2 and 5. I believe that is mostly what you are looking for? Good luck with your project.
