What Inspired the Figure 8 Loop in RCT3?

Yes I did use the spinning cars on the steel mini coasters. Many forget that in the original RCT1 there were no banked turns for the steel mini coasters. They were added with added attractions only. I used the spinning cars in Sprightly Park when my gaol was to repay the loan within those 3 years but without repeating any ride twice. I didn't know about the strats nowadays used by many like Marcel Vos.

Grew up riding the Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland. I still enjoy it even though they had to replace the trains due to people standing up during the ride on the old trains. Even got to work it for a day or two when I worked at Playland in the early 90's. It will turn 100 in 2028. Still hope they will somehow re-build the Aeroplane Coaster you talked about. There is talk about it, they supposedly have the original plans. But the park has been struggling lately.

For the pick up trucks though not exact they look a little like the Tiny truckers from Chessington World Of Adventures. Which originally opened in 1996. As for the racing cars take a look at Silverstone racetrack, these appear to be one rider, they are from Europa park, this opened in 1975.

I've always found it really interesting that Arrow engineers designed the teardrop shaped vertical loop to mitigate forces as the train ascended the inversion, a necessary invention for rider comfort and safety at the time... only for Mack and other modern manufacturers to completely ditch that and go back to making circular loops again like on Copperhead Strike.

Very nice video and very informative. The Giant Dippers are two of my favorite roller coasters. One point of contention though. The first Giant Dipper was built in 1923 on Pickering Pleasure Pier in Ocean Park, California, just north of Venice. The Venice Pier Giant Dipper opened a year later, in 1924. The Ocean Park Giant Dipper was destroyed in a fire in 1924, so no pictures of it survive except among the ruins of the fire.

It's possible that the shift to a different track design, the opposite direction twists and the overlap of the tracks are a means of dodging Potzsch's patent and liscencing fee.

I rode a Tagada in a traveling fair park, the actual insane part was that some people could stand up in the middle of the ride and dance to the music while the thing was shaking up and down. If you could do it without falling down the ride operator would let you ride again without having to wait in line. Absolute insanity.

Meanwhile TAGADA is a really a safe ride for those who are RESPONSIBLE riders and not fooling around and trying to stand or walk on the platform either leave their hands off and lay on the seat abnormaly while the ride is in motion.. This is why this kind of Ride should require an age limit restriction despites the height limit just like alcohol does.. either Operators SHOULD NOT LET any of the riders to do tricks and stuff while it's in motion they should immedietaly stop and warn them to get back on their seats and sit and hold as they are supposed to!
