I had the same tail lights in my first c5, make sure you put plenty of dielectric grease on them. I got a little water in mine and it was shorting out all my interior lights, took me a couple days to figure out it was the tail lights doing it, swapped back to stock and the issue went away. just a heads up, car looks sick!

I recommend a v2 coolit so you can run high speed fan with a keyfob also clean rad face being a bottom feeder splitters can be a problem i got my temps way down doing these things.you can see v2. Coolit on my crappy Chanel
That's actually one of my upcoming projects that I've got in the pipeline! I'm not using that specific kit, but I'll be making one very similar to it!
@ChaseFarrow yep not hard to make can use an Amazon keyfob power setup or even better put a thermocouple in between..set to temp that's what I did on my 69 camaro.
@@castlegarage6969 Hell yeah. I want something that still runs automatically through the tune, but I can also toggle manually while I'm at the track while in the paddock and on cooldown laps

I will be following you to decide and mabey copy mods since mine is red also ...I do like your idea of spare parts panels etc..got me thinking now..
I will say, I don't know that I would recommend it in your everyday bumper because there is wiring under there, and exposing it to the elements full time probably isn't going to be great for all of it!

@@castlegarage6969 But do your Billy Boats allow you to shoot giant fireballs out the side of your car? lol My Borlas are still my every day exhaust. This is literally just for fun when I swap bumpers. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap between them, now.

@@castlegarage6969It's a $100 bumper that will have a functional diffuser, a chassis mount wing coming out of it, and will only be on the car when I'm going to the track. You're putting way too much thought into it lol
@ChaseFarrow I suppose your right .at some point parts will be hard to come by if I see a wrecked one it would be smart to buy for a parts car if it was the right price
@@castlegarage6969 Oh, for sure. Especially now that the C5s and C6s are becoming super popular drift platforms. These Fiberglass/balsa wood tubs aren't going to last long.
Sound is phenomenal with Cam and other mods.But, what you gonna do with gapping gap in the rear where tips used to be. splitter maybe?

cool, but is there any practical purpose over just bolting cheap turn down in the same place? IIRC GRM did a similar thing, but that was to mount a straight through can.
@@ruleslawyer Not particularly. It's just for fun. This is my second bumper, so since I'm modifying it for track stuff anyways, this just seemed like a entertaining thing to do for not much money

What is a 2 step?
@@hc2777 It is an launch control that uses an RPM-based ingnition cut. Basically, once you hit the set RPM, it doesn't allow it to go passed it until you release the button.

Everyone I know has had problems installing an aftermarket steering wheel on the C5. The way I get worked up when shit goes south working on cars I'll probably get my mechanic to do this 😅
Yeah, it's a real pain lol You really need a good puller and impact. I went through every single type of puller that O'Reillys has for rental, and none of them would do it. There's not a lot of great spots on the factory wheel for basic pullers to grip.

I have never heard that it should be necessary to line up the hole in a banjo bolt, it has a recess between the 2 copper shims to make up for that
