I just wanted to throw in my two cents…I believe that Poppy being mentally insane doesn’t mean she’s evil. Insanity does not mean evil. It’s all about perception, isn’t it…? “Evil” is a moral term that implies intentional, conscious wrongdoing, whereas mental illness can impair a person’s ability to make such decisions. Therefore, it would not be appropriate to automatically label someone as evil based solely on their actions if those actions were influenced by severe mental disorder that impaired their judgment or control.

All alcoholic drinks can absolutely taste better or worse depending on the shape of the glass. Different glass shapes allow the drink to hit different parts of the tongue, and thus taste slightly different. A sommelier/wine steward once told me that.

I know Ted said that they were playing as offensive as a Hallmark movie, but that can be taken two ways. #1 that Richmond simply cannot play sports offense just like Hallmark movie. And #2, meaning that hallmark movies are generally seen as terrible, so when Ted says offensive, he could also mean that Richmond is insulting, rude, or unpleasant.

When Mr. Dudley was talking to Hugh about his and his wife's experience in the house and their stillborn baby, he says they hear their "first little girl's cry." Not their "little girl's first cry." Thats a clue that they had another little girl.

The woman who takes ghost Abigail by the hand at the end is Clara's mother, who also worked in the house. Its Abigail's grandmother. The ending, "no, you go on without me" "how could we," which is what the family is forced to do, kills me every time.

I think it's escaped everyone's notice that the Dudley's leave their 4-5yr old daughter HOME ALONE when they go to work at Hill House. It's no wonder she wanders.

I think the fact that Jeff was selfishly cheating the system, and was ultimately the cause of the divergent timelines; his hitting his head in all timelines is meant to represent kharma's hand, including the original timeline where he still had the intent b4 Abed intervened.

Everything is starting to come together. Show is brilliantly crafted.

I am super impressed with you guys. I have watched at least a dozen other channels react to this show and you are the first ones to get to the reveal of Abigail at the sleep over and understand she is alive in that moment. So many people still think she's a ghost even when she's choking on rat poison.

You’re right - Hazel is the old lady in the bed. It’s the bed Theo touched in season 3 and called a “sick bed” and then Hazel called for “Clara” through the bedside house phone. Clara Dudley took care of Hazel in her old age when she would have been bedridden. Poppy was her sister in law married to William (Hazel’s brother) who wore a bowler hat.

Thank you for posting another great reaction video. Episode 9 is just so freaking sad. I can't believe there is only the finale left. See you soon.

Hi guys!😊 It's me once again.😄 I have a couple of things to talk about. 1st thing is about the story Olivia told about the raining rocks. In the book "Carrie", Stephen King wrote that when Carrie White was 4 or 5 yrs old she made it rain pebbles after being reprimanded & slapped by her mother. Also, some 25 or so yrs ago, I read a book about haunted California including odd occurances. My fascination w/the paranormal had grown, & I figured why not read up on stuff from my home state. Plus, I wanted to understand my own experiences better. I remembered reading that somewhere in California it had rained rocks, but couldn't remember where/when it happened. I looked it up. On a clear day in 1922, a shower of stones in various sizes dropped from the sky & continued to fall for days in Chico, California. I don't know if there is a logical explanation for that, but odd, right. As far as haunting stuff in that Haunted California book I read, there was a house experiencing poltergeist activity. Marbles all of a sudden would fall from the ceiling in the living room. The investigators associated the activity to do w/the family's teenage daughter. They say that if u have poltergeist activity & a teenager the activity will increase because of the teen's hormonal changes. I'm telling u this paranormal stuff is fascinating. Anyway, with all that said, rocks raining down from the sky has happened, whether/not it can be a particular person doing it, I don't know. The title of the episode "Screaming Meemies" goes over a lot of reactors heads.😄 I knew to what that referred, maybe because of all the reading I've done. What's odd to me is "meemie" is what my family calls bedtime/sleep when talking to our children. We say, "It's time to go meemie." I have been babysitting children since I was 11 yrs old, & have always used that term. I saw another commentor say that Poppy is the only evil ghost in the house. I responded w/"Yep!". I believe her being a wicked/evil person in life was only amplified by the house in death. I do believe she killed her children. The woman was certifiably insane. I find it interesting that u gentlemen actually discussed how Olivia's attempts @ preventing the horrors of a possible future actually brought about that future. I don't think I have seen any other reactors comment on that. I think the house w/the help of Poppy corrupted Olivia's psychic abilities driving her mad. This version of Hill House is very much like the Overlook Hotel in the SHINING. The book "The Haunting of Hill House" is different. All the character names r in the book w/the exception of Shirley. Her name was used as a kind of tribute to the book's author Shirley Jackson. I think the best movie adaptation to the book is THE HAUNTING (1963). A mediocre remake of the same title starring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson & Lily Taylor (mom from THE CONJURING) was released in 1999. Ok, I think that's it. Great reaction. Two things. One Poppey is such a hawt ghost. The old woman is Hazel, poppeys mother in law. And 2 when you said it's creepy to think about all those ghosts watching I about died. You have no idea 😜 😅

This is one of my favorite series of all time. I watched it for the first time after losing my dad and it absolutely made me cry like a baby. But it beautifully represents such hard concepts and emotions to depict. Grief, mental illness, and generational trauma. It’s heart wrenching but I can’t wait for you guys to finish the show!! I think you’ll be moved 🫶

This episode crushes my soul.

Sadly Liv was never going to leave from the moment she stepped into the house. It was her forever home.

The pieces have finally all fallen into place. The clock/repairman again show the house controlling space and time with Liv. In an early episode young Max (at the funeral home) talks about his grandmother and how she never blinks. Poppy never blinks when she is talking to Liv. Poppy was the ghost face that appeared behind young Nell in the first episode. She sees new children that she can "wake up". I find Poppy and her "logic" to be the most terrifying thing in this episode. The woman who takes Abigail's hand is her grandmother, most likely Mr. Dudley's mother. I'm looking forward to next week's final episode and your reaction!

A real gut punch of an episode. Hugh's response to Liv's "You go on without me" is the most prophetic line in the whole series, "How could we?" Then the whole family fell apart. I actually kinda like Poppy, maybe I was born out of time and I just have a thing for flappers.

The ghost that led ghost Abigail away was her grandmother, Mr Dudley's mom. Poppy is the only real evil ghost.

The absolute best jump scare in cinema history. And "I never built you kids a treehouse" is such an awesome reveal

Community went on indefinite hiatus in Season 3 (always a bad sign). When it came back, a lot of fans made a big push to get people to watch. The first episode back was Episode 8. The ratings did not improve much.

At least the movie got one thing right. George’s father couldn’t buy him out of trouble, this time. George needed to snitch, same as the poor kids.

You know it's funny when you're crying.😂 It's even funnier if you've seen "Heart of Darkness" or "Apocalypse Now" They are essentially the same story and based on an 1899 novella titled Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad. It's too much to explain. Wikipedia "Apocalypse Now" for a better synopsis of that movie. Basically about the depths that human depravity can reach. I like "Apocalypse Now", because it's set in the Vietnam war theater. Martin Sheen is an assassin who is sent to kill Brando. While "Heart of Darkness" is set on the Congo river in Africa and stars John Malkovitch. But it's basically the same story told a little differently. When Annie is talking maniacally to the camera. That's basically Dennis Hopper's character in "Apocalypse Now". When the dean strips down and rubs himself with black paint. That's Marlon Brando. He even, SORT of, uses Brando's famous line. The dean says in a whispering voice "I'm horrible....I'm horrible" In the movie Brando is lying naked in the dark as he whispers...."The horror......The horror" Apocalypse Now is a famous and very good movie. If you ever see it you'll need to revisit this episode, because you'll clearly see all the nods. Brando is going crazy in the movie and the dean is here. One last thing. I don't know what you guys are laughing about, I thought Luis Guzman was fantastic in IMDB 😆

Jim Rash is honestly the best part of this show.

Jim Rash (Dean Pelton) won an Oscar for screenwriting. Every time I see episode 8 I get an overwhelming desire to see the man get recognized for his acting too. He's brilliant. Too bad no Emmy for this role.

I met Luis Guzman at an after-party for a movie premiere I went to in the early 2000’s. He wasn’t in the movie though. He was very nice.

The woman helping Jeff at the beginning gives the best non-speaking face acting joke reaction to Jeff not realising she really wants to check his inseam. A small change on her face and it’s purely hilarious.

The “Kiss From A Rose” montage is peak Community. “HE TWEETED IT!!!!!’”

Britta and Troys tension started during the episode when they danced together! Britta even checked out Troy's "package" when he was wearing tights. 😂

To be fair, Shirley does use Morality and (her) Religion pretty synonymously; see the Psych Stories episode

Two absolute bangers, Abed and Troy stepping up and sacrificing for a friend, the Dean's descent pulling everyone with him. The highlight for me "I liked Horse-bot 3000"

Apocalypse Now would be a great watch for your movie "date nights", though it is a bit dark (and long, depending on the version you watch). Also, Abed is wrong. While Hearts of Darkness is good and interesting, the real gem is the picture itself.

Episode 8 is based very much on 'Hearts Of Darkness', which documents how Francis Ford Coppola very nearly drove himself and everybody else insane filming Apocalypse Now, while going wildly behind schedule and over budget.

"Good - you know what - better than good - Good enough" Still one of the things that pop up in my head when I finish something. Imagine the Russo Brothers sending you some guy to make a bust of you because your agent made a deal with them, that everytime your statue gets shown, even if its only the elbow, you get money.

Everytime I see episode 7, I end up singing, 🎵🎶"Jesuuuus loves marijuana..." 🎶🎵in my head for at least a couple days. 😆

Absolutely love the intro to the Dreamatorium. The grid-work of the room of course is a nod to Star Trek's holodecks which can recreate any environment imaginable - first seen in Next Generation, but referenced back even as far as TOS Animated Series if memory serves.

The IMDB joke might have hit the hardest since I've been watching these. I know it's coming every time and it's still hilarious
