The first time I saw this show I was on a long flight and it was one of the options on the screen on the seat in front of me. Other passengers kept looking at me because I couldn't stop laughing.
Love me some of that regularly scheduled Parks and Rec! This is a perfect example of how Leslie Knope can fuck this up royally, everything around her can make it even worse and she can still scrape through without getting her project shut down and put a positive spin on things lol, she is like a steam engine that runs on hopes and dreams dragging around a 50 tonne boulder of bureaucracy, red tape and grumpy towns folk behind her
A fun BTS thing about show. Michael Schur, the showrunner (who also worked on The Office, Brooklyn 99, and The Good Place) grew up in Ann Arbor Michigan, the home of the University of Michigan. He didn't go to school there (He went to Harvard) but he loved the town and the school. The Pawnee seal was inspired, insmall part from the U of M seal (Pawnee and the U of M were both founded in 1817). In the Good Place, in early episodes Eleanor is seen in Michigan sweatshirts because "real Eleanor" had supposed to have gone to law school there. When the whole Good place is going crazy, everyone (except Eleanor) is wearing Maize and Blue, the Michigan school colors
Listening to these guys final words on this episode make me wonder if they noticed the same "pattern" as I have when it comes to Americans.. The pattern I am talking about is that whenever there is any form of public spending discussed EVERYONE think that there are only two options, and usually the two options they think about is.. "either we do this.. OR.. the money would come back to me so it would be my money again so I could use it to buy whatever I personally want to buy"..
Tom's so shady! Under the table agreements, rather than a legit bidding and approval process for the contracts. But we love him for his shadiness. Glad yall are liking it!
great reaction, hoping for those double drops at some point

Thanks for diving into this. I’m sure you’ll hear this a lot, it gets better and better.
This gets really good during the second season

I'm starting to notice she doesn't have a filter 😂
Such a great series! And it only gets better each season!

And it all fell apart in the end. A for effort though 😂
You two will come to learn that nothing can sap Leslie's enthusiasm
I don't care what anyone says, "The Phantom Tollboth" by Norton Juster is a wonderful classic.
@Lellela agreed-I read an illustrated version of the book as a kid...and thought it was wonderful, absurd, creative, and entertaining.
Oh it's real? 😂
