Keith David being addicted to encouraging white people is hilarious. I guess it's a parody of the way black characters in small roles get to act in ensemble movies - they're just there to validate the main characters, while incidentally proving they aren't racist. Or I'm overthinking that.
garret's wedding was by far my favorite season 6 episode. "will you be my legally incestuous wife?" has to be the funniest question in the entire show.
Stacy is portrayed by Erin Mcgathy, Dan Harmons ex-wife. Dar Harmon has a brother whose nickname is Bones. Matt Gourley from Conans podcast is playing the writer in the end.
Now THIS is a pair of reactors that KNOWS how to produce the regularly scheduled community episodes I love! Season six's paintball episode is probably my favourite out of the whole series because of the way it so perfectly mirrors an action movie about national security while still being completely relevant to the plot of the show. Vice custodian Laperry is meant as a stand-in for the head of some national defense program while the group would be field agents who have been handling things in a messy but effective way previously until Frankie comes in and shuts their program in favor of Laperry's because she thinks it a cleaner, better way to handle threats to national security. Unbeknownst to her or the group Laperry has been creating false threats to national security to maintain his program's seeming necessity and extend the shadow war on terror to secure his own position and make them ALL relevant again. Jeff is the tired veteran agent who really does want the killing to stop and tries to uphold what Frankie thinks is right because he agrees with her ideals and trusts her but he's a fighting man so when the "threat" rears its ugly head again he only knows how to respond one way. It really is a great homage to the genre full of references and plots central to its construction. The wedding episode, of course, lives in my head rent free.
the marrying your cousin thingy happened more often in ancient times, mainly cuz it was more difficult to meet people outside your village/town or even neighborhood
The end tag was funny because.... it's just so goofy and odd to have someone proudly taking credit for Community's incest episode 😧😆 Granted, it's weird, but what do you expect from the same guy that brought you the adventures of Ricky and Morty? Have you seen that show? Community looks tame next to a multiverse, portal jumping, acid trip of a show 😂 BTW, the dean's impression where he says "I do, Johnny" is from a famous horror movie scene. Not going to spoil which one. The original line is delivered as scary and it is "Here's Johnny" Which is a play on the old late nite show with Johnny Carson. The opening shout of "Here's Johnny" was already famous, but it became even more famous when a VERY well known actor, playing a psycho, screamed it out through a broken door.
The math doesn't work out here. If one person's great aunt is another's grandmother, that makes them 1st cousins once removed. Marriage is only illegal for them in six states. (that's legality, not morality)

ok i'll be the bad guy.
you're all streets ahead.
@@sabin97 It's ok. Everyone still gets five MeowMeowBeenz.
Now this is one of the best comment someone's ever made.
Also just a note the writer at the end isn’t really the writer of the episode. It’s Matt Gourley the co host of the Conan o’Brien podcast
First of the thirty people to point out the elevator was a recreation of the Winter Soldier elevator fight.
Which was directed by the Russo Brothers, who also directed for Community, including the Season 2 paintball episodes.
Ohhh yeeahhhh. Good catch.
I always assumed it was a recreation of Die Hard with a Vengence.
I'm old.
@@ThePete1081 I assume it was both. Or rather the scene from winter soldier was inspired by the scene from diehard.
Elroy is just amazing in Ep 12 :) And it was so nice having one final paintball game. Now, only the series finale is left. :)
That went by quickly

100%. The perfect action movie mashup.
Todd's flip off the car is a reference to Highlander.
The scene is, the flip is part of the scene.
@@tempsitch5632 The giveaway (besides the garage setting) is Todd wearing Fazil's mirrored sunglasses.
Missing references right till the end. Great 🙃
but there can be only one.....
There’s a few references in here. In the line of fire, the bodyguard, capt American winter soldier

Moving in with Abed and Troy changed Annie a lot xDDD
😂right?
Kumail Nanjiani is Silverballs
Came here to say that. You can clearly hear his voice at the start of the episode.
Yeh I went back and it fit. I got confused when the paintballs weren't silver near the end
Todd the God! Veteran of the battle for our affection.

Yes, Chang gave great advice- in, yes, the (near-)worst possible situation

That was definitely insane and yet less crazier than Rick and Morty. 😂
Season 6 isn’t as consistent as the earlier seasons (except s4 ofc) but the final three episodes are absolutely peak Community
