Have you checked out some of the mods for original (non-resurrected) Diablo 2? There are some real gems out there (pun intended). I'd love to see your impressions of the Nezeramontias mod in particular, which adds a lot of interesting options for how to invest your loot resources.

Wait, Holy bolt does damage to demons too now ? BACK IN MY DAYS it was only against undeads !!!! You Youngster don't know how good you got it ! Being able to heal and kill bosses at the same time ! Your a lucky guys in all my years of playing this game even after farming non stop without sleeping i rarely got a rune and that with good % drop could take me 1 month to get 1 rune

You could play a pally that gets thorns only, and hunts for a chipped skull to socket into a shield, that should let you get the initial levels without actually killing anything offensively.

There is always an alternative. Instead of trying to buy a staff with teleport you could simply restart the map.

Would'nt it be much faster: First grind alot of Gold, like a few million dir the tele staff repair, And then farming countess with guaranteed drops and cubing Up That's what i will do. I think that's more rewarding, less boring and i think faster and more consistent than spending thousands of empty runs. What do you think? My Preparation first is to max goldfind. " Wealth" etc.

I seem to recall that my friend used to have at least 1 point in static on his sorceress no matter what build he would use. That was 20 years ago, so my memory could be wrong.

I did the same myself minus the armor piece, I was lucky enough to get the two rarest runes in it from drops during October not far from eachother.

Uniques are like THE way to beat D2 lol. That and runewords but we didn't always have that haha
