- I ran Andariel (H) 1000 with a new budget sorceress to see how geared I could get and determine if Andariel is worth running. The video is a summary of the runs and highlights from all the drops, as well as gear progression for the sorceress from super budget to pretty well geared. The video ends with a summary of the final stats and gear for the sorceress.
Andariel drops A LOT of jewelry. I like to include all rings and amulets in my loot highlights since they're fun to identify, but this time I had to cut most of it out or I would have had a 30+ minute video with half of them being Manalds and Dwarf Stars.

I made a mistake at 0:12 - Diablo can not drop every item in the game.
But close!
Mausoleum and Crypt are the earliest all-item areas but very low monster density. Next up is the Pit, I believe, but enemies in overland are pretty dangerous.

What can't he drop?
You can kite her to the bottom corner of her room, cast hydra then teleport over the wall to the stairs, the hydra will keep hitting her and she won't move, then just teleport back over, reset hydras and go back to the stairs, repeat until she's dead, don't need all that poison res and can stack extra mf on rings
Does this mostly avoid having to kill her minions too? That’s what takes the most time.
You can also just lure her to the door, then cast hydras on the door, half will spawn on the other side of the door. Works with blizzard as well :)
@@PumpingIron247can't speak for the sorc because I haven't played her in years but on my necro it's golem - bone prison - iron maiden stand back while she kills herself 👍
I know everyone has their own skill levels, but you really should be able to handle her with a hybrid build, or a focused built without much trouble.
If you struggle with skill (I still do when I come back to the came), here's a few tips:
-A couple bonus points in static will help you immediately reduce her health.
-Clear out the front of her room before engaging (not the middle room. never go in there)
-If your merc dies instantly, spending more time farming some runewords for him is well worth the trouble. Stack your belt with more health pots than mana pots to make sure you both stay alive!
-Level up! If you aren't as good as you want to be, hit 90. Get some extra life and merc life. There's a potential you find some good loot while leveling too!
The one thing I would NEVER suggest is trying to slowly grind a boss down. Hydras are terrible for quick boss kills until you're geared. (I'll admit, maybe I'm outdated here. But Hydras have never been good for high DPS with non-godly gear)

A lot of people says that! I haven’t done too many terror zone runs myself yet, but I did take a short detour to terrorized Andy in my last 1000 pindle runs video and she dropped nicely then so I believe it 😅
Man, when this game first came up about 25 years ago, i blew up one disc 2 on the drive due to overheat 😂

I've watched a few of your MF project videos and have always wondered what player setting you play on. I see you get so many good drops but then get discouraged when my SP hammerdin gets smashed on p7 Andy. 😭
This was players 1 setting. I do almost all my MFing on /players 1. I don’t think my budget character could have handled any higher. Additionally I don’t think it’s worth increasing even with better gear since the increased boss HP will increase run times(unless you have really good gear and clear her in seconds anyway). Running on players 1 I did have some runs where she literally dropped a single flawless gem and nothing else, but over time I believe it’s the most efficient.

I remember I would farm NM Andy thousands of times for soj and it never dropped...my bro was like just do hell you'll at least have chances of getting other good items... first hell run in dropped soj lol... let's just say I don't run NM Andy anymore

Much easier to obtain for a javazon than that diadem or whatever people are using, throw a socket into it and a perfect lightning facet and you should be good. I also have that elite javelin with lightning pierce, plus a conviction aura on my hireling and a wand with lower resist charges pretty much deals with every lightning immune i find. My entire gear combined is worth less than that diadem, still completed Hell players 8 solo, so who cares about it.

@cleetz 😞unfortunate! I’m not a fan on there being roll ranges for super important things like +skills. Rolling low on +skills feels so bad!
I love running andy. I always prefered her over mephisto. The dolls in Durance alone are so damn annoying that I usually ran Andy until I have ocu-viper-shako-lidless-magefist-goldwrap and then i swapped to TC85 for Tal armor/amu/DF. When I can't even run andy at the start of a ladder, I usually went for meph only on NM, because NM andy drops basically nothing (except for statistically SoJ, but in like 15k andy-runs in my life, I have not once found one there.)
I’m usually a meph guy, but after these runs I’m not sure which I like more for new characters.
Catacombs is such a nice place compared to durance, that’s for sure!
@zarfen especially since the drops are so similar. Andy is TC69 and meph is TC78, and the only items that could be considered important that meph drops, but andy doesn't is reapers toll(TC71) and (ironically) andariels Visage(TC75). If you're going for a grail, sure, meph can drop more items, but basically, any gear that's actually useful can drop from Andy.
i dont get it, i did many runs with 350% mf and i dont even get close to the items you had in your first 60.. what the heck !

All my life I thought that Bald of Ali Baba was a RUNEWORD, cause I only ever saw them with IST, IST in them. I even owned 2 that I traded for. I was even trying to make my own for a while but I never, EVER found even 1 IST rune.

I've gotten multiple occys and shakos from Andy. as an soj and mid runes. Andy is always a good choice and with a sorce I'd run Andy and methodical until I've got good enough gear to incorporate diablo then do all 3 bosses per game. Now I have some of the strongest versions of every class fully geared

Honestly i wish instead of Diablo 4, just make a new game where mechanics are the same but new maps, bosses, quests, gear and classes. My issue with D3 was the feel of the game was way different. D2 was all about the loot and how hard it was to get it. I could not even tell you a single name of an item in D3 because 70% of the time you would find something better the next day
@@Hallowsaw you don't remember because you never looked up a powerful build and then farmed to get those items, you never had the top tier stuff. I can tell you everything about my frenzy barb off the top of my head, even then 3 perks I have in Kanai's Cube, because it's built for a purpose.
@@ryanmiskin8925 my point was even in the begining of D2 you had to farm. Had to farm rakinishu fof low sets, gull dagger. Had to farm andareal to get gear for mephisto. Then you had to farm mephisto and diablo normal to get gear for nm. Then cows for socketables. Like you were constantly going to different places and sometimes even backtracking to nm once in hell to more efficiently faem meph and diablo for the exceptional uniques that were hard to find. Idk i thoroughly enjoyed d2 and playing on single player was very enjoyable because when you found something good it was so rewarding since you didnt trade foe it. Like linding a Lo rune in single player is dang near impossible but i found one.

My first character in DR2 Resurrected is a Javazon. Easy character to build since she is a missile-type player. After leveling her up to over 90lvl, she switched to Magic Finding. She ended up finding enough items to make a Fist of Heavens Paladin. She found an Soj and traded to get an Soj. Gave both to the Paladin. He now is over 90lvl, and hits Andariel 2 times and she dies
and poeople complain about running dungeons in d4... but they will do 1000s runs on d2 bosses
Well if I do 100 runs in D4 I would have every part of my gear.
In D2 I could do thousands.
Why is that better?
Because in same 100 D4 runs I could gear any char. In D2 it will always much more rewarding to find a drop due to the ecoort required.
D3/4 basically plays like this:

I'd be happy with these runs. Went from super budget to pretty much end-game gear, minus one or two items. Not GG ofc, but you'll be comfortable to run a lot of things. Fun stuff!

Meh, it's fake. The drops, he edits them to drop, uses drop rate calculator online to decide which drops to edit in over the course of "1000" runs, then splices together a bunch of clips with the edited drops.

I love farming Andarielle, she's easy to find the fight isn't hard and I got Tal Amulet, the Oculus, mage fist, 2 shakos and more. I hate Mephisto because of his dungeon and dumb exploding dolls.

I've played on and off since D2 original release. Thousands upon thousands of hours and thousands upon thousands of boss and area runs with 2-300 % MF.
Never dropped a SoJ. Still love it though.
Perfect Bonesnap is nice, upgrade it into an exceptional, put a socket into it, sheal rune, and you having something that can easily last you till the end of nightmare. All that damage potential for lvl 34.

Somewhere between 15-16 hours. But once I had some decent gear and got into the flow of the runs I was doing a run in 30-45 seconds, while early on a run could take 2 minutes if there were a lot of monsters around Andariel.
you said that when you found the tals helm it was your third item? but when you identified the tals ammy... you can clearly see that you have the whole set? so was this unintentional?
Ive watched this all the way through 3 times now, and every time I feel anxiety from watching his health drop over and over from the poison damage. Haha
Haha 😁 to be honest I did die a few times after letting my health drop really low and not noticing a left-over enemy sneaking up on me while identifying loot

Hh, D2 Lod 1.14d must have much different drop rates...not such a drops possible in multiple farming spots.
I don't play D2R but still love these videos. I will grind D4 though, and looking forward to lots of videos from that game from you! You have a great thing going here and if you do D4 loot videos consistently from release, I bet this channel could grow A LOT. Ha det bra!
Thank you so much for your comment! I’m definitely going to play D4. If I’ll make videos for D4 or not depends entirely on what the end game loot grind is like. In the beta the gameplay was fun but loot felt only okay imo. It was just a beta though so I’m hopeful!

I wa so tired of running lower Kurast for high runes (never got anything higher than OHM). Then I misclicked ans was on NM instead of Hell. My very good LK patern was destroyed. So I went for NM Andariel. After 7 runs I had a Stone of Jordan. No luck with LK but a lot of luck with NM Andariel :-).
Andariel only drops rare items or better and can't drop trash like gold, so she's great to farm for sets and uniques. Mephisto is harder to do that with (it's possible, but not in single player).
I run her because it's a chance for fire builds to feel like a god.
12 second triggered the fk out of me.... diablo is t84 treasure monster in 85 lvl zone, so he can't drop all items. Apart of that, good vid as usually.
Diablo is a lvl 94 monster in a level 85 area but his TC is only 84? I did honestly not know that and I guess I still have things to learn about d2 loot “under the hood”. Thanks for pointing it out, too bad it’s printed in the video... 😬

I was thinking about doing that as a follow-up to my key running video but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I might still do it but I don’t have such a video planned atm. I’m sure there are plenty of budget Uber videos if you search though.
it only takes 1000 runs with a severly optimised gear that you won't get unless you already ran 1000 runs with shit gear, to realise the geargrind is garbage in this game.

that ruby jewel of fervor drop is huge!! I was surprised you didn't make a hoto for the character with the vex (even before the pul) or start with a spirit monarch

Yeah it was sweet! I wonder if I will use it or if I get “too good to use”-syndrome, always waiting for a better item to use the jewel on.
I’m planning on making a pure fire sorc with sundering charm for terror zones in the near future, that was also a partial reason I made flickering flame with the vex.

I always play D2 casually until recently one of my newly created character found 3 pieces of Tal Ra Sha on first run in hell difficulty. Now I'm farming like crazy to get the other pieces. It's a torment to say the least...
The armor and the amulet can be so hard to find… good luck, the set is awesome! I finally finished the set with the amu I found during this video, but haven’t tried it out yet in D2R
Tal armor is a pain in the a.. I have played diablo 2 as teen regularly for several years. Had dozens of lv 90 chars. Bought resurrected and played some month a sorc. I found first time in my life the armor in the act 2 tomb in the first region which now has high lv mobs. Insane drop rates did this game have.

Thanks! The runs took 15-16 hours. Early on a run took upwards of 2 minutes but in the end a run could be as short as 35-40 seconds.

Imho a pure blizz sorc > fire sorc for Andy. She has low fire res yes. But everyone in her room is immune to fire. Pure blizz kills then all aside from the rare cold immune uniqe mob.

Good grief, what a waste of time. Play Project Diablo 2. You can run maps, DClone, Ubers, and other late game bosses for really cool loot. D2R is pretty and worth a few laps around the track, but it's an objectively bad game compared to PD2. The end game of D2R consists of do this boring thing 1000x.
I disagree with “objectively bad” but I’ve played PD2 before and it’s a lot of fun and have some really nice ideas. Good mod!

No problem Matthew. These runs took 15-16 hours. The runs were quite a bit slower at the beginning compared to the end.

Runs were much faster once I got a little bit of gear and learned how to lure her where I wanted her to go so it depends on your starting point.

Yeah you can farm her as soon as you get to her, as much as you want. That was kind of what I tried simulating in this video.
Though to be clear this was in hell difficulty so you need to beat normal and nightmare first. In normal difficulty I would not farm Andariel personally
to many people it seems a lunatic thing to do but the fact that you can't do something like this in D4 is to me a major L for the game.
itemisation and character progression are the core strengths of D2(R).
no other arpg (not even poe) makes the item hunt as satisfying as D2(R).

Can you imagine if they added dungeon maps like POE ? and new creatures ? After running the same content over and over again and knowing that is all you gonna see in the game makes me want to stop playing. Diablo 2 consists of killing the same thing over and over and that is it.
New content would be sick! But I also don’t mind doing the same Diablo 2 over again for the 100th time 😁
I'm at 250MF and I still can't find anything good. I'm about 600 runs deep and so far only kept items for other characters.

I don't get how people get these items, my sorc has just under 300% MF and I have run Andy in hell and NM well over 400 times in the last week and the best item I got from her was some yellow boots that give 23%mf a blue orb that does +3 cold +3 cold mastery and some other stuff, and a Manald heal.... I love doing MF runs but my luck is the worst. I have been playing D2 pretty regularly for 17 years and The highest rune that has ever dropped for me is Mal and the best item I have ever found was HOZ 😢.
Plus the fact that you can bug her to get her boosted loot drop bonus . . . Not really sure if it's really a bug at this point though. . .
That is no longer present in Diablo 2 resurrected. She now always drops her good drop (what used to be her bugged drop)

I started with ~150 and ended with 300.
I did 1000 runs and this video is just some highlights. All of the runs where she dropped a magical skullcap and a light belt did not make the video 🙂
The amount of runs you do will be a much larger factor in the amount of good drops you get compared to having 300vs400 MF
0:13 what kind of d2 channel is this??? diablo CAN NOT drop every item in the game when the zone is not terrorized. this information is just not true. so please don't send out misinformations into the world.
I’m thinking about buying d2r to play on my parents toaster computer (basically a glorified tablet) I am able to play d2 classic and heroes of the storm on it for references ..will D2R work?

What is the highest rune catacombs level 4 and Andariel can drop?, yesterday i found a Sur Rune and the zone wasn't terrorized.
I usually do andy to gear the sorc, and then meph to gear other chars until I can come into Chaos Sanctuary.
or go javazon if you get plvl'd and just do cowz

Yeah for general magic finding she has tough competition from Meph.
If a SOJ is what you're after, farm NM Andy. She has a better chance of dropping it than Hell Andy does.
I cannot imagine the determination and effort of doing Andariel 1000 runs then there is no SOJ. I am a newbie and I would like to try this one too.
I have played D2 religiously for 20 years, and I somehow never knew there was an “advanced stats” tab. Wow.
It only exists in D2R! In the original we had to count our own FCR and MF 😅

I do pick up a lot of rares on my runs, but 99%+ doesn’t make it to the video because they’re not any good.
I do leave potentially “valuable” things like (non barb/Druid) helms and belts on the ground though, since this is single player.
I like the flickering flame but not a fan of the helm .. shoulda used a horn helm or a cap
If I didn’t go for a crown I’d consider a horned helm or maybe a bone helm, but a regular cap? No way! 😜

That’s a smart trick “teleport and make her walk with the orb” - I never thought of that. I haven’t tried running Andy with FOrb but I have ran her with a blizzard sorc and it was very good. Cold mastery is really OP against act bosses.
Why not to run her terrorized? I got 7 Tal armors in 2 hours and 2 tyrael mights in 2 days

Andy has always been a breeze for my fire/fury werewolf druid on high party member setting its the act 2 boss and diablo that gave me issues on my first runs. Idk why peeps hate on the fury werewolf. I'm flying through everything except those couple of bosses.
Been running this bitch for a month straight to get a shako. Found an eth shako and two SOJs, but no non-eth shako. I swear I'm cursed...

I think that maps would be a great patch for Diablo 2. but im a player for the journey not the grind
