Hello, Im Ray owner and operator of Speed Tweaks.
I started this channel for 3 reasons really
A- Show vehicle owners that its not just 'Plug it in and the computer will tell you whats wrong'
B- To try and help techs or anyone looking to do some diagnostic type work on their vehicles. Im not going super in depth but keeping things as straightforward as I can and trying to keep tooling used fairly straightforward. The aim being rather than some of the great diag techs on youtube, more to emulate the real life, high pressure rush rush rush environment of most garages.
C- To try and give my business speedtweaks.co.uk a little bit of exposure, because hey a dudes got to pay the bills

This is how to quickly change the frequency from 315 to 433 on a Mercedes BE (VVDI Key). And the process is reverse for 433 to 315. I'm sure this can also be done with VVDI MB through the tool with no need to open the key

Everyone has done it, you are in a busy workshop and need to get the car sorted quick sharp. So the consumer has power well it must be faulty, bang a new one on and....... oh poo. Now I have to explain to the customer that I just spent £300 of his hard earned and the car still doesn't work. In many cases testing the Voltage supply and the resistance of a circuit can really be a bad test.

I have been a user of the Autotuner Automotive Tool for quite a while and think it is an invaluable tool. As shown in the video it is a a well constructed device and has a very user friendly easy to use interface. The only negative for the tool is that it needs to be online THE WHOLE TIME whilst in use, including all the way through the ECU write which can be an issue sometimes.

Thanks for uploading. I also found this wire to be causing intermittent locking issues and leaving indicators on too. Cut and re made the connection and seems ok now. Great video, helped me fix the issue. ❤

Do not again do not copy what this lad is doing in the video. It is incorrect. To add to this , as someone has already mentioned. 0.0 kW on torsion value may not be correct & may be a case that the cam is out of range/ tolerance = correlation error. Vehicle will not start & potentially cause damage if adjusted too far. At no point on ELSA PRO VWAG does it mention to adjust torsion values. If the timing circuit has been done correctly as per Manufacturers spec , then there should not be an issue. I am a Certified main dealer Audi technician.
I agree with you on this, Elsa does not mention anything like this. But this does allow smoothness of a lumpy engine. On issues I have with the process is the possibility of loosening the cam centre bolt. The bkd engine is not the smoothest of engines and this adjustment does help. As you are a main dealer tech what would you recommend to fix the lumpy idle even if timing has been done perfectly with all pins correctly in place?
Hello my friend, I have the same problem, they reset the counter of the elv and cas, at first it only worked for me a few days later it appeared again, I have taken it to the same workshop and they did the same procedure again only this time they could not manage to erase the warning light of the steering wheel with the lock in red and sometimes it turns on and sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas I can do? Help 🙏🙏 .

Yes your video really help. Just suffered loss of power on the motor way, managed to limp out of danger. Now I can go confidently to my mechanic and mention the common fault. Saving him time and me money of him finding fault. Cheers buddy

Its a wire problem probably pin cracked or coroded i have this on my audi caussing my car to judder and stutter i simply disconnected and car drove well , then swapped it with a new egr problem didn't go away , now i found out it was a coroded pin caussing the egr to fail . Fixed it after cleaning pins from the connector

Quick question. When you remove the two fuel pipes off the fuel pump, any advice on how? Will there only be a tiny amount of fuel that will spill out that can be soaked up with a cloth?
Worked for me, thanks a million man! I've been going crazy pulling my hair out and firing the parts canon. Replaced fuel pump because I'm pretty sure I needed to do that anyway, replaced crank sensor I'm pretty sure needlessly, was about to consider replacing injectors once I discovered they weren't firing. Spent some time and money I didn't need to, I didn't even know a 98 Honda had an RFID key system. Spent 10 minutes this morning to pull the ECU and pop that sucker off the board and my car started on the first try!
Honda doesn't have immo until year 2003+
@@JohnDoe-fw4pi 39730-S84-A0 is the part number for a 1998-02 Honda OEM "immobilizer receiver unit." You are factually mistaken, sir. They changed the immobilizer design in 2003, but they had an immo 5 years prior. I have the immo chip from the ECU set in an epoxy pendant that currently hangs from my rearview mirror lol. I mean, what do you suggest the chip that I removed from my computer that was immobilizing my car is if not an immobilizer? '98 was the first year Honda used transponder keys. There's an "immobilizer receiver unit" around the ignition that broadcasts a signal that powers the RFID chip in the key fob (or a battery in the fob, can't remember which but I'm pretty sure there is no battery) which in turn broadcasts a code that is read by the immobilizer receiver coil and passed to the ECU. The ECU will not power the fuel injectors until it confirms that code with the immobilizer chip (or if you rip the immo chip out of the ECU). A 5-second Google search would've served you well (and saved me the tedium of replying to a lazy lie), but as it is, there, I Googled it for you (for free!) including the Honda part number. Google "39730-S84-A0" and tell me what year models _Honda_ says it's for. I'll wait. You're welcome, btw. You're now wrong about one fewer thing. Next time, at the bare minimum put in the 5 seconds of effort to do some basic fact-checking _before_ calling someone a liar, please.
