Ha the number of times ive boshed the hub down against the lower arm bush instead of loosening it thinking I was being quick. Omg lesson learned again on something so obvious. Nice one

@Mustafa Beau thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now.
I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.

Hey, thank you very much for a well detailed video. I'm just ordering new shocks for my e61 LCI and this video will probably save me tons of time.

Arrgh, why not just bring total out under wheel arch and then loosen and lift strut up?
That's the way we are doing it for nearly 20 years...
Also, title is wrong - how can you do that with Fxx?

How did you torque the control arm bushes back up with the weight of the car on the wheels?
Or did you do it with the car still up on the two-poster and not care that means they'll wear out prematurely?

Very useful indeed - thank you! Did that F30 have a ride height sensor on the NSF rear control arm (might be for Xenon/HID only)? I dropped the strut on my F31 then realised I needed to unbolt the small sensor arm - 10mm + 8mm spanners do the job. I'm now having issues getting the springs to seat properly - what sort of spring compressors are you using? I have the shit cheap threaded bar & hook once (scary) and a floor-mounted strut compressor however I can't compress enough coils with either to get things seated nicely. Any tips?

Scuse me, how many kilometers or miles has got the car for having leaks from the absorbers? is a problem of holes roads or miles ran? Thanks and scuse me for my bad english. Good job! ;-)
