How do these compare to Wharfedale 12.0 or 12.1 ?

i haven't had a problem with fit. i think my biggest issues is that the drivers seem to need a bigger push in order to get the fullness of sound even in the V-shape . what i mean by that is i used to have a pair of Sony - WIC100 and while they weren't the best on mid range tones, i didn't need to set the volume to over half way up just to get a decent sound. These i typically have to set to almost 65 to 70% volume to hear a punch bass sound and a clear mid range. the upper register has been good and doesn't get very peaky even at the higher volume which is nice. also ANC really drains the battery quick. over all i agree mostly with your take and can't wait to watch more of your vids.

I have a pair of TDL Rtl2 SE speakers. How would you compare them with these B&Ws in this video?

Very happy with mine. Surprisingly good and almost totally better then my Harman Kardon 5.1 I had before. It's much more powerful, and sounds really bright. It is paired with my old b&w dm602. I would just advice to have a subwoofer for beter bass at higher volume. Probably my next step.

Appreciate your review of these here and on your site! These speakers seem fantastic, but I am still a little concerned because they are supposed to be so bright and direct. My question is, if they are a tad bit "too bright", couldn't one simply EQ them, say from 4k up apply -3db, to correct their bright nature? Also, you measured them, thanks, very helpful, and compared to Quadral Platinum+ Two. Why? Is the Quadral a better speaker, or why did you use it as reference? The Magnat clearly pronounced from 3k, but in my opinion nothing that one couldn't correct with EQ.

How does your experience with these compare to the earlier Diamond 225's? I've heard none of these critiques about that one.

I've got them, and after being a little disappointed they just got better and better and meed! Toeing in and the tweeter at ear level,i now have 2 pairs in my Atmos bed level and they are amazing, and manage brilliant even without the sub, and play don't know why by Nora Jones, crystal clear vocals etc

Yo tengo un par de estos Elac y realmente los amo, pero es un amor aprendido. Me costó admirar su calidad viniendo de unos altavoces vintage Technics, cuyo sonido era mucho mas gratificante, pero “menos hi fi”. En efecto, estos bookshelf separan mucho mejor los instrumentos e incluso otorgan una sensación de profundidad que no había escuchado antes. El sonido que puedes obtener es mucho más honesto. Si la fuente de audio es de mala calidad estos altavoces lo revelará, pero si la fuente es buena éstos realzarán y llevarán a otro nivel la escucha de tu música. Yo los uso con un amplificador Audiolab 6000a y les agregué un subwoofer de 8” en mi mediana sala de escucha. Cuidado, el tweeter debe quedar unos 15 a 20 cm mas arriba de la altura de los oídos

I have the Wharfedale Diamonds with 5.25-inch woofer. They are very balanced. Tight bass and good vocals, piano, drums etc. Have not heard the Monitor Audio Bronze speakers.

I wonder whether these speakers beat the Dali Spektor 2...

Impressive scale, dynamics for a bookshelf.. I just purchased a PR of Signature 503. The dual tweeter module is very open. Airy, but not harsh. Having listened to many speakers over the years, I'm quite impressed, the drivers seem to blend effortlessly, very smooth. Consider it an outstanding buy from me.

Thanks for the review. I recently picked up the 5.1 set on sale, and I'm pretty impressed with the 507s, given the price- although they can get boomy/ chesty often. Wondering if the 503s with the sub might be even better, but unfortunately one of the bookshelf speakers arrived with the magnet sheared off the mid/ bass driver. Waiting for the exchange...

i have the supreme 2002 and i like them alot

I was going to buy a pair of B&W DM602. then i read a write up of a guy with 802's that had a tweeter that died. he could not find a replacement. new tweeters no longer made, old ones scarce and $$$ on ebay. he had it "fixed" but the repair did not work. Thats when i started thinking that DM602's , being 25 years old pose a hazard in terms of being unfixable. now im looking at Elac 6.2 which do not have the age issue.

How would you say these compare to the Mission qx-2? Im thinking about getting the qx mkII or Polk es20 but these beeing only 50$ more makes them an interesting proposition

If in some recording you hear a lot of bass and the next doesn't seems as satisfactory it is probably because there is a big bump in the response and some tracks excites those frequencies. This is a common problem in small speakers where the designer tried to boost the bass response and create an exagerate response at a particular frequency. Thanks for a great video!

In my experience the Kefs need 300 hours of burn-in before final judgement. I own the Kef Q350 and agree with most of your descriptions including an ever so slight metallic flavour, so it's good to hear your honest review. And although I agree with your criticisms, I don't think you gave them enough credit for what they can do so well. The co-axial driver produces ping pong-like stereo effects across the stage that are more pin-point in location than anything I've heard. In my experience they're more likely to sound somewhat muffled close to a wall. But I listen to them 5 feet from any walls where they sound open and airy with a lively, spacious image. Listen to them 20 degrees off axis to tame any sharpness, and leave the ports open, without any plugs. You can also place them really wide apart like I do, and still get a centre image. They sound like a big brother to my Q150, only with more bass and body. Granted the Q350 has its quirks and as you say, its up to an individual's taste what they prefer. And yes, the Q350 sounds more coloured than my Kef LS50 METAs, but I sometimes wonder if the Q350 might sound more real.

have you tested HECO aurora 200 or 300 or the Bentley acoustic R-line ?

is this truly a 3 way or is it 2.5way because usually theirs the tweeter then a super tweeter., and i dont think thats a mid range driver
