Excellent review.I'm not into forward (in your face)sounding speakers. So i bought a month ago Q 3030i with Yamaha a-s 501.I was very worry maybe the sound turn out to be too bright for me.Ηappily the sound is laid back. The highs are crystal but not offencive, the mids are warm and revealingly and the bass deep and strong (in my room). In some movies bass gets very low frequencies like a subwoofer! The whole room is shaking!!So i don't have to spend more money for a subwoofer. Like i said i was worry about the synergy between them but Yamaha A-S 501 proved to be a true gem.

these speakers are also available with a walnut design, so they look much better, for me a speaker must at least look like wood, I don't like anything else so much, but matt black is still ok if the speaker is very good
I like the speaker stands ... can you please name the brand and model or are they self-made?

The only review saying the bass is not good enough. Okay, well which pair of 6.5" woofer bookshelves are there with better bass?
One more thing I don't understand, why give them 4 stars, say "performance is on par with the price", but you can't even recommend them... to anyone (!?!)
    That's strange.

As for the bass itself, for example Wharfedale Diamond 12.2, Elac Debut B6.2. Also, it was a part when I was only referring to the resolution provided by the tweeter ("performance is on par with the price"), not in the summary of the speaker. I don't think Q3030is are bad, don't get me wrong. If you like them that's completely fine. 4 star rating is not low either… and this evaluation is in the end, at least partly, subjective. Plus, take into an account variables such as different room acoustics, size and gear (amp, DAC).
