Bear in mind amplification.. DBR62's woofer is capable of surprising bass if fed with a powerful amp. They are somewhat inefficient and phase degree at low freq sucks some current. I listened to them with two hybrid amplifiers such as Unison Research Unico Primo, and I was amazed at the body and better integration of the drivers. I also paired them to the new Musical Fidelity A1, and I was surprised at the natural tonality and treble quality, it had brightness up top, which many observe rolled-off or boring with this speaker. Amplification quality & synergy is key.

I have the cheaper Debut 2.0 B6.2 and like them a lot for use in my computer room/home office driven by an old Pioneer AVR. I've never heard the DBR62 but think they might offer better bass than my B6.2. Good review. Thanks for the comparisons to the other speakers.

I upgraded from Debut B6.2 to Debut Reference and found that the 3D nature of sound was better in the 6.2. Bass is better in Reference but nothing like a separate sub. Amp is Denon PMA 600NE.

@m-audiophile, what speaker cables are u using ?

I don't believe in cables. It needs to be good, not too thin OFC copper. Other than that you won't hear a difference from a cable ;) When it comes to the looks, I put them in those sleeves and banana plugs all by myself and so do I recommend this approach to everyone. Just a bit of practice and skill.

please test some dali speakers ( spektor 2 or oberon 1 for example)

I have the Dali Oberon 7 powered with a Yamaha AS501 and Rotel 1592 MK2, with the latter giving more bass and cleaner sound, though the Yamaha is no slouch for its price. For me, I love these speakers, so I’ve always been interested to hear the Oberon 1 and 3 (which uses the same 8 inch woofer driver as in the 7). Unfortunately, with the current prices of $599 and $899, I would honestly think twice. For this price, you can get away with some pretty awesome floor standing speakers. Just my opinion.

Elac dbr62 640 euros and Q3030i 420 euros in my country.Elac looks cheaper vs Q3030i wallnut colour. The vinal wrap between the two is better on 3030i.I bought q3030i and iam very happy,Very deep bass (like a small floorstander),nice airy uppermids and non offensive fatiguing highs.Elac is very pricey for what it offers.
