This is a really good video for people to watch regardless if if they’re even planning to travel anywhere. Too bad there are only 7k views and five likes, including my own. Now days, my luggage for air travel consists of “Virgin” bags for both carry-on and check-in that have never had firearms or ammo carried in them. I’ll probably even move onto a carry-on that appears less tactical than my current back pack. I avoid commercial flights as much as possible, but it never hurts to be as cautious as possible. Blending in saves a lot of heart ache. Leatherman’s multi-tool trauma shears are great items to carry in check-in as they don’t seem to violate any laws and have multiple uses. Windlass on a CAT-T has other potential uses also. Anyway, too many good points brought up in this video to comment on all of them. Appreciate your efforts.

Update and correction: Michigan does have a handgun registry with the Michigan State Police Gun File Unit. You just receive or have to carry a "green card" for each handgun. And Michigan now has the Onerous "red flag" and "safe storage" laws; that you, Socialist Governess Gretchen Whitmer. More restrictions to follow.

The Springfield XD and the Sig Sauer P226 are excellent choices. There's also the classic Beretta 92FS. Although most LEAs have been brainwashed and drink the Glock Kool Aid, so most officers (and civilians) carry those. For my money, the Sig P226 is the best handgun around. It's good enough for U.S. Special Forces, so it'll probably serve the average LEO more than adequately.

You CAN NOT carry a weapon in a federal building, wether it is a National Park or National Forest. You can walk around the building but on entering with a weapon you may be charged with a federal weapons charge.

I've been doing this since 78. I went to the NRA class with a couple buddies in the Sportsman club. We do firearms safety and shooting and the hunters safety course. We don't charge but make it up with new memberships. The Hunters course is through the PA Game Commission. I do it because l love getting people started the right way. When I see a kid that passed their hunters ed. and that smile they have on their face is priceless. We are getting aged because last year we had a couple grandkids of some of our first classes. It's all for the love of the sport.
