Just an add on to my last post, we are completely surrounded by coral reefs so indeed a need for patching

Great simple video, I used to have a milpro 4.7m and had plenty of patches back in Australia but never did the inside patch, I live on a tiny island Anajawan Island now and just got given a small PVC rib which has about 40 patches over the one spot hahahaha and am just now removing them so I can redo apparently a large cut so doing the inside patch will be very valuable. I have only been using hypalon glues before and know the techniques are the same but would like to know a good pvc glue if you have time. Like someone from Fiji offered if you're ever in our part of the woods drop in! All free, food, beer and accommodation. Would appreciate some info on a great glue. I wonder what is Marine Grease that you used as I have found soo many different marine grease - is this silicone based or something else?

hello my friend they gave me a zodiac 2245 from 1978. no air is lost but only the keel. do you think the boat is alive? do the glues hold up? I think it's hypalon. it's the same as the one you made in 79

Great video and thanks for sharing! I was wondering on rub-rail repairs where only a small portion of the end is peeling off, how would one repair a section of it? I wouldn’t want to remove the entire rail. Can I follow your prep with sanding as close as possible to the glued on section?

Hello. maybw you can tell how to remove the old glue? i have zodiac boat and dude begore me try to glue bottom of the boat but did terible job and i want to fix it like you did,but its a lot of glue residue left. please can you tell me? btw you boat fixing skills is on another level!!!

I have a 1986 Zodiac Mk1 GT. I need to repair a small leak on a seam on the cone. I can not seem to figure out if it is PVC or Hypalon. I have all the original manuals, sales catalogs, purchase orders, repair kits (glue is dried), but nothing states what this boat is made out of. Can you help?

hi there ..i have a 14 ' mercury ..i recently got a hole in one of the tubes and the entire boat went flat ..also i am able to fill the boat up using only one of the valves .. it has 3 like the boat in this video also 1 for the inflatable keel..the boat is quite old (15 to 20 yrs ..is it toast ?? thanks in advance

I have to try your method of in stalling stringers, I was crying like a baby when I installed a floor on another brand. I do not think I deflated the tubes enough .

Can you give more i formation about that specific paint? And how it sticks after you deflate and inflate the boat several times

Thank you! I think i need to find a rubber material to use. I used pvc and i think it is a little too stiff. It leaks bad until i put the cap on, much worse than the original diaphragms.

Too much work for the Alu floor.

I’ve been watching a bunch of your videos. I just bought a AB dinghy and it’s needing some attention, but still very usable in its current condition. I figured I would use it until it finished falling apart and then I would be ready financially to buy another one. Your videos have pretty much convinced me that that’s further down the line than I thought it would be. I’ve got 2 of the 3 chambers holding air, my next project is to change the valve in the third chamber and then to paint the bottom, it’s chipped on more than one rock but I can’t detect anything more than that and then I plan on applying inflatable bottom paint as it spends all of its time in the water and is kinda a hassle cleaning it about every 2 weeks. I’ve figured out where to get the seat holders and how to put new ones on thanks to your videos. There aren’t any tears or big holes, but it needs a paint job. It’s a hard bottom and a new one is ridiculously expensive and if I can get some more years out of this one, all the better. I’m going to sew up a “tent” for it to help keep the rain out… not for camping, but you never really know.

If I have a floor that is only coming apart from the tube about 10 inches on one side (not the direct front) would it still be better to peel it all the way off and re-do it all like you did here? Or if the glue isn't to bad elsewhere, could I just fix that one area. Any tips on how to tell? If its coming apart in one area is it safe to assume all the glue is old and shot?

I have a Quicksilver model QS330E. I was told to use RH adhesives HH-66 vinyl cement. So I ordered 32 oz of the glue will this work for repairing the Transom?

hi..great video..one of the tubes is separated on my 14' mercury zodiac and the other tube is 75% still attached ...the floor is still attached to the transom..do i have to remove the floor boards to repair or can i just deflate and do the job with floor boards still in the boat..reason i find it very difficult to put flloor boards back into the boat and would rather not if i dont have to..hope to hear back soon

Glad, this confirms what I was doing. Re-Adhering transom to tubes and other parts - do you typically do a dish soap wash down first? I am about to grab demel - and sand down the old glue, and re-apply the two part. Then after cure, going to give the thing a nice scrub down - and add a UV protectant. The one you used on this video, a good application for Ocean environments or..?

I have a 14 ft. novurania ( 1988 model canguro 420 gs / Hypalon) great shape/no uv damage but was stored deflated for 8 yrs. It how has micro leaks on all 3 chambers. Questions: How much should I pour into each tube and how long is the working time? Also how long does it take to cure/fully dry and how long to give it a 2ed coat if needed. Great vids...Thanks, Joe

I’ve 2015 ford explorer, I assembled the center console but I couldn’t find anything. Also I checked underneath the driver side seat there is black box module but I’m not sure belongs to headrest DVD.
