Sports Revisited
США
Добавлен 2 ноя 2017
A place where sports culture of the past can be visited, where in some small ways we can relive the times of our lives or experience the lives of another time.
A place where the past lives and never dies.
A place where the past lives and never dies.

Highlights of Expos first season opener and first home opener
What Hal Steinbrenner should say to Aaron Boone after losing to the Dodgers in five games in the World Series
thurman in the first two episodes kinda comes off as a crying whiny bitch when he was never like that
I love the Harlem Globetrotters. I emulate their moves in my spare time.
23:52 24:39
Dave Johnson would make the last out for the O's. Then 17 years later would lead them to the 1986 championship. Amazing!
I used to love to watch Kiners Korner with that unforgettable opening theme music. There will only ever be one Ralph Kiner
Are there any oldtime Mets fans out there who actually attended a Mets game in '62 or '63 at the Polo Grounds. I did in 63, Duke Snider night. Sat about 50 to the left of the left field foul pole. I can still remember some guy with 24 on his back for the Giants, the undisputed GREATEST baseball player that ever lived, hit two home runs crashing against the empty wooden seats just a few feet away from where i sat as a little 6 year old boy with my Mom and Dad
I was at this game on a high school field trip, it was the greatest game I had ever seen in person!!! Until this upload I had never seen the entire WGN broadcast, they would always show just the highlights of the game. I defiantly miss the old style of covering baseball. Not to mention the broadcast crew Brickhouse, and the rest of the WGN crew. What a fantastic game!!
Notice to Aaron Judge: all fly and pop fly balls caught with both hands
R.I.P. Pete Rose , The hit king!
I say 55, 59, 63, 65, 81,88, 2020,2024- I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing the last four. it’s great to be a fan🎉
They play fast assist fast shoots
Phillies won 13-0 the day before too.😮 Also, how many pitchers have hit a home run BEFORE they have given one up in the first inning??
Had the DH been allowed in this WS, Staub would have played all 7 games.
"Billy, nobody's plotting anything, and nobody's queer." LMAO. "I'll admit you were a pansy, Lou!" "I'm not a pansy, Billy!" "You fruitcake!" "I'm not a fruitcake either."
This boy right now had 61 years old maybe ...🤔
Would love for this to be expanded to be up to date
The intro to this, should AWLAYS be played prior to game 1 of the world series

They even got Joe DiMaggio to say "Amazing!", which was a feat in and of itself.
De niro is so handsome, sexy and amazing!
I actually love how much passing there is. 💯
At least these guys didn't make the money that players make now. Too many resources and too much money go to them.
Dodgers got this! (2024 World Series starts TODAY 10/25/2024)
20:10 every old Met fan is dying to see future Hall of Famer, multi no-hit pitcher Nolan Ryan whom they let get away. Tragic😭
Bob Gibson also hit a HR in his G7 victory in ‘67. To the deepest part of Fenway
I'm surprised Bruce McGill isn't in this. Bruce is in just about everything. We all know him best as D-Day in Animal House.
He’s was Ralph houk in 61* movie in 2001
Steve Dunleavy the ny post columnist
Who's going to be here now that the Yankees and Dodgers are going to play in the 2024 World 🌎 Series
World Series - even the title is egotistical, errant and misleading - American MLB - the teams only play teams in American cities not the world it's not the Olympics and the winner is not a planet wide champion - this is the arrogance of money- a corrupt criminal system of interaction btw ignorant humans ! American series and champions base ball and all sports has been ruined by capitalism - bring humanity some dignity and help abolish money ! And it's ruined every civilization that uses it
❤️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Benson Phiri
My mom was an avid Mets fan and every month she would take me and my brothers to Shea Stadium for the game. Her mistake was taking us one time to a Yankees game and was sold as a pinstripes fan.
Great flyover at 2:05
Thanks for all the work you’ve done on this. The frustrating thing is the commercials are the clearest part about the broadcast.😮.
Fisk is the most overrated
Bernie carbo hr is the most underrated hr in baseball history,
If you go back and look at Jordan in the 80s it's the same thing on a different level. It's so weird cuz you know they're the best alive at that time but it's like they just don't know better.
Back when folks went to sporting events in suits and ties.
Mets starting pitching was great.
I loved Gil Hodges and Eddie Yost. Mets had great coaches.
They turned on game five in school near the end of the school day.
If Gil Hodges was managing, the Mets would've won. Yogi Berra totally mismanaged the pitching for Game 7, costing the Mets the series.
Nine years later they were both invoved in winning the East.
18:41 dude just robs
When is the part when Rusty Staub of the Mets faces Darryl Knowles of the As, and Rusty "swings and misses" 3 times for the swinging K to the cheer of As fans? When is the part when Reggie Jackson blasts his 3rd basehit into RF, and as Mets' Bob Hahn in the outfield tries to dig for the ball for the stop, the ball blasts by him towards his R side, and the ball goes to the wall, costing his Mets a two-base error and scores an Athletic at the plate for Oakland's extra run?
A very stupid unnecessary game... Ban it.... Boxing, and the UFC also...
THIS was the birth of the 'Big Red Machine,' as they would REPEAT as WORLD CHAMPIONS the following season.
Rose ran around the bases on his HR @ 1:45:00 like he was late for dinner. 😅
1973…what’s a pitch count? …well there were about 300 pitches thrown I guess..why do you ask? 😂😂😂
