Atlantis was so cool. I was too broke at the time, rip. My favourite piece of Lego 'canon' trivia is that Brains from Power Miners is also a member of the Atlantis dive team! I seem to remember there are some other Easter eggs for Power Miners buried in the theme, but sadly I was too broke to pick any of these up myself and I don't remember the details now :(

I think overall the theme wasnt really bad and the sets were very well priced. I happen to own almost every single set and was really pleasently surprised that the minifigures go for so much. General garg and stone clay go for 80 dollars each and lord krakenskull goes for 250 dollars while being in a 40 dollar set at the time. Crazy

I never played with the lego sets but I remember that I was not a huge fan of the nexo knights show. It just lacked that "special stuff" that made up something like early ninjago, especially (to me) in terms of characters and villains. I do remember getting very bored with the antagonist spawning the same baddies every episode. Even in power rangers the villain of the week still looked different, even though the episodes could be a complete rehash of the previous week's plot. I don't know if it got better, but I remember dipping on it after the first season. I found chima's plot much more enjoyable than nexo knights too. My only complaint with chima was how the plot gradually fell apart and drifted from the "friends to enemies" story and the overarching faction strife.

Pirates of the Caribbean and scooby doo???? Honestly the ones you mentioned are mid or straight up terrible. Mention some themes people really liked.

I used to play the chima racing game, but I never owned any sets :(

Alien conquest definitely stuck with me that was and still is one of my top themes of all time

i've noticed that common theme back then was having colorful and very various interesting villains vs more neutral heroes who share same look, and usually villain things were ones that were the best

These aren’t cancelled or failed themes. This is what LEGO has done for most of its themes. Limited runs over a few years. Almost every space, castle, pirates subtheme has done this. Ninjago is the anomaly.

I recently rebuild jestros evil mobil and its actualy kinda awsome . The design is cool , and when you turn the red wheel , the mouth opens and closes and the blades in the middle spin

I remember when Nexo Knights was new a lot of AFOL were upset that it wasn't just a standard castle theme.

I notice a reoccurring theme of shows (chima, and this) being made to replace ninjago and it hasn't worked yet, too bad they all couldn't be going at the same time.

0:57 Not all. My Barnes and Noble in 2016 still had the entire theme in stock. I managed to get Scorm's Scorpion Stinger. But the next time I went there , it was all gone.

My issue with nexo was it was trying to be castle….but throwing medieval and castle out the window

I remember a lot of people being bummed about the fact that they never used any of the other monster types for the toys and tv show. A lot of promotional material included sea and swamp monsters to go along with the lava ones.

You really unlocked some core memories for me with Galaxy Squad and Ultra Agents. I hadn't seen them for years and forgot that these themes exist and now suddenly the old memories of them came back through your video.🔥

How is Nexo Knights BORING. Like Ninjago and Chima, it was a LEGO Theme that just so happens to be a pretty entertaining show.

This year has a few sets that will become forgotten in 5 years: Shin Hati's and that silly X wing vs Tie fighter mash up.
