Another RUclips troll who dissatisfied because Bethesda didn’t do what he wanted 🙄

I don't like how Starfield as a game doesn't seem to know if you're the chosen one or not. Sure, it was a bit ridiculous to be the jarl of everything in Skyrim, but at least the game knew we were the literal Dragonborn. In Starfield, the game simultaneously tries to tell you you're just another dude on the street, at the same time as it acts like you're the dragonborn (Including the name: Starborn). This has been very confusing to me.

The one thing i hope Bethesda will keep from Starfield and take into es6 and fo5 is the mantaling mechanic i love the jank parkour of Bethesda games and that little step of depth really improved the experience for me

Just give up hope. The Bethesda you know and love is dead. Corporate acquisitions and DEI hires have hollowed the company out into a husk. There is no talent or creativity left at Bethesda.

Good video. Someone left a comment under Skill Up's FO76 review claiming that they knew one of the devs at Bethesda, and this dev's response to criticism of that game was always very dismissive and defensive. They basically just refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with the game. Again, this is just some random RUclips user saying this, but I wonder (if true) if that attitude is representative of the broader Bethesda culture. I look at their output over the last several years, and so much of it just looks like a product of complacency. (How does a company this big have such bad facial animation and presentation during dialogue with NPCs, for instance?). Maybe they're a little too aware of their old school status as a developer that has made some genuine classics and are resting on their laurels a bit too much.

I really liked this game until i played conquest and changed the difficulty to the second lowest for a little challenge and then it became hard which i wanted but the twist that you unfortunately cant turn off makes it nearly impossible for me, idk who made tested the difficulties but they didnt do a good job making it accessible for new RTS players like me and it might have ruined that genre of game for me and im upset i cant enjoy this game that i liked so much smh

It just seems really amateurish to post a tier list, which implies some sort of expertise or authority or perspective, only to say you didn’t play one of the games because other people didn’t like it. That wouldn't fly with literally any other medium. Not saying you deserve hate mail or bullying. It just feels very Amateur Hour.

i hate when people say its not as intimate as the first every single thing that made the first game sad, grim, and emotional is still here the only thing i hear from that critique is "they ruined my immersion because they pulled the camera back"

its a pretty poor take, the criticism is fairly vague, dissapointment is a big word, from watching the game i feel its more like"frostpunk 2,a fun game with some issues i personally have, the game only feels simple only if you min max on lower difficulties, and unlike the first game where you are just a god that commands into existence whatever you desire, i truly felt powerless when my factions started radicalising and i got into a negativity spiral with all factions, and in general you being more of guiding hand for humanity, not being able to follow the lives of is a loss but also it didnt make sense in my mind why you had to pass laws to manage "society" when there are only like 70 people, 20 of which are children,doing that "daily?!?!?!(first what authority is passing these laws), i imagine in world people being like<<guess were doin child labour/eugenics/authoritarism/brothels/adding sawdust in food now >>, and thats set in stone and yet you still have to abide by unionised syndicate work standards when you are expressly told you are the last remnants of humanity, and people dying of frost should be enough incentive for people to work overtime.The macro nature of the management is much more conducive to a roleplay experience, compared to the first game, where some decisions are clearly better gameplaywise, multiple endings/routes compared to just "was it worth it", in 2 colors.

I really like the game, but there are so many game breaking bugs and useless structures. Rail hubs are mathematically inefficient which is very sad because its the best looking construction in the game in my opinion (featured in the trailer too). Heat bonus bug that won't change ur fuel consumption making the heat hubs etc useless aswell. A lot of the heat bonuses and structures do and do not apply to the buildings on top of a district making them semi useless too. No specification that you need 1 core to not get softlocked with Winterholm, this will fuck over so many new players, spending cores wrong should make the game harder not lock you out of it completely after 20 hours. Not being able to cancel ur structures even if they are at 0%, wasting both ressources and time. Frost breaking makes it nearly impossible to plan ahead on where u want ur structures, because its tile based u do not get a clear indicator of where a tile is and how many there are without frost breaking it all. As far as i know deathless run is impossible because in Winterholm people will die to the toxic fumes no matter what zeitgeist path u choose, no matter if u use mechanical workforce/apex workforce and no matter if u use safe frost breaking and (slow) or the other one. Then there is the overlay that gets put out of screen making it almost impossible to read when u have either too many active bonuses or laws. Poor optimization, once u get past chapter 2 the game is very laggy. If you decided to take back the automatons instead of scrapping them for cores, u cannot see them or distribute them like in frostpunk 1, making them both forgettable but also not as effective. (assign them to less heated districts, so u can siphon the heat to the actual people therefore saving fuel.) Actuated/Normal heaters are not useful at all as they take up valuable slots while providing u with less bonuses and benefits than heating hubs(when they get fixed), and various other hubs (except rail hub). Instead the slots should be used on research slots and housing etc.. A bug where if u go out to the frostlands and back in too quickly the overlay refuse to load until u do it like 5 times in a row. The frostlands expedition overlay is all over the place, impossible to keep a track off without popping in and out constantly. i've played a little over 600 hours in the first one, but holy christ the state of Frostpunk 2 is a mess, didn't they playtest this before releasing?

I have three main complaints about the game even when I really enjoyed my time with it. These are my impressions and can't really be debated: 1# The name Steward is annoying, I prefer Captain or mayor. 2# Felt like the game forced me to make choices without context. Why does doing a coup force me to build a ghetto? Why would embracing equality make me unable to negotiate peace in the civil war? Maybe gaming after work late at night made me miss how I betrayed my favorite faction by making the obviously correct choice. Feels punishing in ways I couldn't predict nor was the way I wanted to enjoy the game. #3 Micro managing a Macro game, in the first game you would build a house that houses 10 people. You would choose where to place it and how to heat it up. In 2 you would build a district that provides 20 shelters, but you have 10.000 people, does it mean 20 families? After 30 hours, I can't remember or even know why it would then require 200 workers??? This would be fine if I didn't have to micro manage my 10 districts and every factory district. 90% of frostpunk 2 gameplay is pausing and unpausing to micro manage your worker pool. Thank you for reading, I think the devs took everything they learned from the first game and applied it to a bigger scale in frostpunk 2. But they made a different game from the first one, and they should've committed to that.

The only fun thing is how wrong you are about this game being disappointing. It's even better than the first.

I mean no one wanted frostpunk 1 2, it was always advertised to be very different from the first game in many ways except for setting and basic ideologies. I think the game has a significantly greater depth than the first game and so much more replay ability. The one thing I can say FP1 did better was population management but really other than that I don't feel like either game is superior by any means they both have their ups and downs eg graphics, exploration politics. I do respect your perspective and points but I feel like calling it a "disappointment" is just a large overstatement. If it is to you then sure, but I really can't see it, it takes the first game makes us feel like we have had genuine progress and development into a new world within the frostland, there are so many ways to optimise your resources and none of the mechanics have been truly dumbed down imo they have just had their complexities shifted towards interdependence and societal expectation because it wouldn't make sense otherwise when we consider we now lead a society not a town. For example you say heat has been dumbed down and its as simple as having more than you use, well it was always that way the whiteouts are the same as the first game and if you want the actual technical challenge of managing fuel production better and stockpiling in warmer weather then you crank that slider up so you need stockpiles. A game like this is only as challenging as you make it.

Im sure the DLCs will bring more interesting things to the game and maybe expand the already existing mechanics

Lies Of P was without a doubt the best game I’ve ever played. I’ve played games for the last 15 years and never got so immersed into a story and game like P’s. Last time I enjoyed a game that much was Skyrim / Fallout 3

Those who think it's a good game are losers who have been conned. It's completely scripted and linear. Want to attack an enemy or a boss the way that you want ?? Nope, the scripted coding says you can only do it a certain way in a certain hit window at a certain timing window. All these souls fanboys think it's OK to play a memory game learning the bosses move. It's lazy game designing. In good games you can take out the boss first go if you're good enough. And check out how long to takes just to pick up loot. WTF ?? The i-frames are just mini loading screens. The small stamina resources are a cheats way to make it difficult. The devs couldn't even design several difficulty settings like AAA games do ?! It's not worth the money for the short playing time, and there's no real replayability. The enemies are always in the same spot.

Can y’all help me? I played Elden and DLC, then Sekiro, and now nothing else seems even worth playing. I tried Lies of P, I tried DS3, but in their respective ways, they just don’t compare. Any advice? Or should I stop playing games forever?

Lies of P over Bloodborne for me too. Lies of P - while borrowing alot from Fromsoft games - introduces some awesome details or twists like the records/music, the blade/handle mechanic was so much fun after the hundreds of Elden Ring weapons, the world is amazing if perhaps a bit small. Bloodborne, in my opinion, is relentless and dark even suffocating at times whereas Lies of P is, to me, more balanced here.

For quality, balance of game and maximum replayability nothing has come close to Shogun 2. I would say its the most enjoyable TW game even in 2024
