One quick statement regarding your complaint about armor customization. The limited amount of freedom with that is intentional. You're not special or a unique character, you're a faceless soldier, a cog in the machine. Soldiers need to abide by standardized equipment, and allowing armor customization would directly go against that idea of you being that unknown trooper in the background.
Sure I get that, but I still think that's a bit of realism we could have sacrificed for some fun. I don't believe it would detract from the immersion as long as it doesn't get too whacky.

one issue for PC is there is no way to change input settings. But other than that the game is great.
Ah I should have mentioned I played on my PS5. That is actually a big feature that is missing, thanks for pointing that out!
