The only backstory stuff that matters is planet and the voice/personaility. Your personailty affects your character voice lines which in my opinion are pretty good as each personailty interacts differently with eachother. Your planet only affects two things of which only one planet will actually do anything. If you choose Cadia as your planet then you gain access to the Cadia's purple eyes in character creation and if you play as the veteran you are able to choose the Cutthroat personailty. Another thing to add if you are a psyker then you also get some really bright blue eyes as an option for character creation.
My only remaining complaint are the cosmetics. I would maybe even buy some if they just put a price on them instead of forcing me to buy aquilas. To bad all the ones I want have been removed. They need that fomo I guess. Games a certified banger though.
Darktide feels great, my only problems with it are; 1) There is nothing to do really after level 30 2) You will fail more missions than you win because the people who play don't have brains, i.e running off like random idiots getting themselves killed then we all get killed. 3) enemies still hit you even though you're 10 feet away from them (problem since beta lol)
The game doesnt start till level 30. That's when you can finally make a full build and start getting your perfect end game equipment and jump into auric missions
After level 30 the real grind begins, you hunt for the best weapons and experiment with different builds. The sec9nd one is solved by creating carry builds, zealot ogrin and psycher are great at this, veteran not so much And the third one sounds like an internet issue, Ive played the game on both 1000mb ethernet and dogshit hotel wifi, and it only occured when I played on wifi
@@majorandras7474 Veteran with Voice of command can greatly increase the overall chance of success of a quickplay team. Pick up your allies when they're down. Krak grenades to deal with huge crowds or groups of armored elites. A good weapon for picking off specials, revovler, hellbore, etc.. A melee weapon you're comfortable with to keep you alive, and you've got all you need to cover your team.

The specialists are fair until you play high intensity shock troop gauntlet and they send 5 mutants and 4 poxbursters with 2 bombers supporting them on you at once. WHILE you are fighting a beast of nurgle... that have backing from 5 crushers and 12 gunners. and 8 ragers. Did i mention the 3 snipers that just spawned behind you, and are carefully waiting to shoot until you have just dodged that pox-hound? Good times.
Completing the legacy achievements will get you the best gear for each class, arguably the only the gear that means anything given they are rougher to complete. Endgame is just achievement grind until you unlock all the cool cosmetics and portrait frames. Good luck killing 1 mil heretics. There are a few nexus mods, true level and scoreboard that will tell you the stats that they don't share and the actual level of you character (game stops showing your true level after 30).
I play a couple of games, maybe three or four if we wipe early, and I'm done. Takes about one hour, ninety minutes. I guess that's fine, but having a sort of mini procedural dungeon like Chaos Wastes, say a two hours session, would be nice. And another faction. I thought Genestealer Cults would make a great third faction, sort of taking advantage of all the chaos around Atoma, but I'm not holding my breath. Three arms and all, a lot of work.
try reality check and play V2 in random, and then say that endgame killstats are not toxic.... same for DT, try random. This game is good IF you have static party
I picked up Darktide at launch and I did not like it. It didn't have the flow that Vermintide 2 had. Poured in over 300 hours in V2. I ended up getting a refund on Darktide. After watching your review today, I decided to give it another try - also thanks to this Steam Autumn Sale. There are not enough good co-op games out there.
I've already witnessed someone harassing another player for not having a 'meta' build with god-rolled weapons. Tryhards will find any reason to be arseholes.

Still hasn't added a new unique gun or melee weapon since March. Still screwed the PC community by giving the equivalent of $70 worth of free shit to the console crowd. Still broken AI governor.
The free console cosmetics were only for those who purchased the deluxe edition. Still annoying for the PC players who played the game since release but you at least had to pay extra for it. Also screw that AI director sometimes, loaded into a malice game and found a room full of crushers & maulers like what. As for them not adding new weapons. They are probably working on adding something new. I mean the carnival update is two parts isn't it?, so hopefully they will add a new weapon or two when it drops.

For the gun skin problem can be fixed with the weapon customization mod. It has huge customization options for a solid amount of weapons
