I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The gameplay in combat was fun. There were things that were off like Captain America being an SJW, but I skipped most of the dialogue anyway.

Looks that the story of this Viktor... - what was it again ? - is well worth it. It was already on my wishlist but it seems I must put this one on the soon "pile". Good job selling the good points of the game ! I presume "RPG-ish" is because the character is fixed. Knowing you think Rasputin is well made in the game is reassuring, that's one thing that could kill the story for me.

I've played BG2 countless times, perhaps my all-time favourite game.... but I can't seem to ever get into IWD. For me, the banter, the voice acting, and stories behind each party for BG2 were what made a good game to an extraordinary game. As IWD lack those specific details, it just felt more of a choir than anything.

I absolutely loved this game. It captivated me from start to finish.

The scariest thing about Voice of Cards is that there's THREE of them. I'm normally a fan of Yoko Taro's games but these don't even have a crazy story to make up for the terrible gameplay. I played the first one and from watching this it's clear they changed nothing, they even reuse the enemy and NPC sprites.

I watched a YT video recently where the guy said that The Rings of Power is not technically fantasy, because they changed the rules of that world to fit their modern narrative. When you make a fantasy world that follows all the rules of our own, then it's not really fantasy anymore is it? That reminds me of gaming these days. You don't hardly see games like DA:O anymore, where there is a wholy unique world with its own lore and it's own set of rules. Want to be a black elf? Too bad. Want to be a tall dwarf? Too bad. Want to be a strong, independent elf who gets respect everywhere they go? Too bad. This is a fully fleshed-out fantasy world that has it's own history and culture, and it has nothing to do with our world. You either try to find a way to fit into that world, or don't play the game. Because the devs of old weren't about to change the lore to better suit your worldview.

I am surprised to not see Indies Lies which I think is a hidden gem of a roguelite deckbuilder. Do you have any thoughts on it?
