I've got a 2007 v70 with like 450k on it. After a series of leaks from the windshield and sunroof the interior got kinda gross and it is absurdly hard to clean. I just pulled the interior and sprayed the inside with bed liner lol its looks great! and you have loads more room for your feet =)

By the mileage prepare for flywheel replacement.Expensive as hell.Next problem will be drive rack and power steering pump :) But to consider cost of new cars you drive for free. Saw few video that people pay monthly 1000 bucks for a car and replaced problem parts and will have many miles without payments. If you want to drive free find alive 2.4D . On highway you will be able to do 1200 km with a full tank.I always wonder why there is no diesel cars in usa, ok once you were rich, but now, you could save tons of money because americans drive more and distances are greater....

Those b5244s or s2 engines are very robust. My b5244s overheated three times and still no damage anywhere, doesn't consume any fluids or leak oil or anything like that. My v70 engine was changed at 420k kms because of snapped bad quality timing belt. Now it has 540k kms and 310kms on the engine, running happy and strong. And someone who doesn't know the only difference between those engines is the tune in ecu, b5244s has 170hp and s2 has 140hp. Btw that hot air intake is very useful here in finland where it gets almost -30 celsius during winter. Not so helpful if you live in warmer place. Kinda long comment but these are my 2cents. Love your simple and easy to follow videos 🫡

Just switching the ETM is NOT a fix. Problem here is, since it is electrical: if you change the ETM you have to tell the ECU that the ETM was replaced. This has to be done with Vida and is ONLY possible at a Volvo dealer. Cause they download the software from a server located in Göteborg. Therefore more than 10 years ago in Germany where I live, a company offered to send in your trouble making ETM to overhaul it and change the electric from a potentiometer to a hall sensor. It costs around 250€ and fixes the problem in 99% of the cases. They still do this until today cause the throttle body is basically the only thing which causes trouble with the 5 cylinders.

What's the stuff you put on the back of your brake pads?

Something you could look out for is the blue interior trim for the door cards and above the glove box which match the gauges, I believe they only came on a select few R models, my dad used to have most of the set but they were quite badly damaged and had a hole in one. I’d also recommend possibly getting the R on the boot lid reattached as it’s a nice part next to the V70

Absolutely love your work and how you played with the music. About to do the same job to my girlfriends ‘04 S60 2.4. Needs an oil change, a new MAP sensor (occasionally throws me a ecl), new sparkplugs and new strut bearings at the back (muffled rumble noise while hitting bumps at slow speeds). The interior is in great condition and the exterior looks quite nice for 20 years. However it needs some refreshment and a polish. I will take care of that during the spring, car should look like nearly new then. Finally my girlfriend should have a nice and reliable travel buddy for years to come, since her Mini let her down so many times before.
