man, this channel is so much better than expected. love to see you following your passions, it truly shows in the videos!
Thanks so much!!
I love this series so much. You did such a good job man. Love showing mistakes, and helping us all learn. So much potential here. Can’t wait to see it take off (even more so than it already has!)
Thank you so much man! ❤️
Agree with this sentiment entirely !
I'm not gonna lie. I had a feeling you'd be into cars seeing that you drove stick in your early videos but man. Seeing you take on a whole project like this was unexpected since your main content was the photography stuff but I LIKE WHAT I SEE!
Really appreciate it man! Thank you
Seeing them also liking all the big automotive creators on insta was a big sign that it was only a matter of time for me
Well done and you are on track to become a car nut and a great mechanic ! 🤣
The only downside of your videos is the fact I really start missing my v70s I had in the past and now want to buy one again. The only problem is that I’m broke af and that there’s already an old 240 as my daily which I will definitely keep. Besides that I’m still loving it Willem! ❤
Been following Willems photography and his RUclips for years. When I heard he came out with an automotive channel I was super excited. Had no idea the guy had a passion for cars, something that most of my friends and family don’t have. Super cool, and especially to see him working on 2000s Volvos is sick. Ive been daily driving a 2008 Volvo S60 T5 for the last two years(my first car). And I’ve loved it so much. Sadly I’m putting it up for sale in a couple days as I’m getting a newer car. Anyways, love the channel Willem, the S70 turned out fucking sick. Look forward to seeing your vids in the newest S60 in your collection.
Love it man! Thanks for the kind words ❤️
nice old school wording, 'sick'.
These videos are so inspiring man. I got rid of my v70 this past summer due to some engine trouble that was too expensive to fix. I’ve always wanted to learn how to work on cars but have always second guessed myself. Wishing I would have attempted the work after watching these videos. I miss that car so much haha
this channel is gonna be huge. cannot wait for the next episode!!!!
Thank you dude 🥹
Im so proud of you willem, these videos go hard
Dude yes, Im here for this project. Reminds me of high school always dreaming of doing a full project like this. Great addition to the photography channel.
These videos are great. Dont stop, go hard. We are here for it.
Bro these have been the most relaxing vibey car videos I've ever watched, this is fantastic!
Holy cow, Willem! You know WAY to much about all this now. Congratulations! I can’t tell you how many thresholds you pasted where I would have put that thing on a flatbed straight to the best shop I could find! Love the new channel, too! Can’t wait for whatever’s next! Cheers!
Thank you so much for watching the series Bob!
Geweldig Willem proficiat 💪💪💪
This video is so incredibly satisfying haha.
I really enjoy your photography. This channel is so foreign to me.
What the realization for me is that a car is just an assembly of parts which have to be put together correctly. Just and correctly seem to be the operative aspects.
I follow a channel about “think like an engineer” this seems a lot like that. Thinking and doing!
Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Excited for the next project!
I need a friend like you where I live. Just got a 2007 V70 2.5T (getting delivered next week or the week after) and have so much I need to learn about this car.
stoked on this project results !! always quality that's the verbeek trademark aha
you a very serious young man I'm sure whatever you do with your life it will be great. Good luck
Wow ̶W̶i̶l̶l̶e̶m̶ Wheelem, quite a scare there for a second when you couldnt find your keys! If only you had a Long Weekend™ Jet Key Tag, you would've been able to immediately and conveniently find your keys!
😂😂😂
Man i love your channel so much and your love of this beautiful Swedish brand! The Swedish manufacture has a large history of building beautiful reliable cars! I love magnificent 5 cilinder engine and the sound! Keep up the good work😊
Okay! You did it and did it well! Now you need another project… like a Volvo for your girlfriend…? ABS block issue on P2 is very common. Also the wheel bearings. But they are easy. And yes it’s very hard to not get a smile revving that 5 cylinder. Luckily I get a daily dose! It reminds of the Audi Quattro rally car with Walter Röhrl. Nice to see you are very enthusiastic about Volvos. It’s hard to explain but it’s that sense of quality and comfort inside a very safe car. Congrats!
I agree! They’re really nice to be in and they feel solid. Thank you!
Grats on a running car! I thought about doing a fun build for photo road trips for awhile but haven’t made the leap. Maybe this is what I needed to see to make it happen this summer 😎
Man you really have something going here, just discovered this channel and I have to say it's really enjoyable! Keep up the good work! :)
Ok...cudos brother...it looks fantastic, and the effort, never mind the satisfaction of what you achieved....I would love to tackle an automotive challenge..but don't have the buddies to bale me out..oh well, my Volvo mechanic just rips through stuff so quickly, it blows mw away, and proves knowing what you are doing makes for quicker but costly results...gotta be safe though ...doing the leather really pops it even more. Fantastic job...800 bucks...nutso
Thank you ❤️
would love to see like a cost breakdown on this!
I second this
Wonderful job! What a dream. Welcome to the world of "Was that puddle there before I parked?" HAHA! Hopefully not, you did amazing.
😂😂😂
Bingewatched all the video's on this channel in a couple of days. Liked wat i saw, much better as the average carchannel. Like the choice of projects also. Very Dutch (or flamish) name, btw. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I have V70 D5 2002 i love it.... i admire to your work... ❤
R wheels looks really good on it
love to see some recaros
Awesome work Volbro .. that's a sleeper/keeper!
Cool man, i just picked one of these up last week. Nice videos.
stumbled on you and i thought damn this looks like willem the guy who shoots film that i've been watching for years and laughed when i realized it was you. thanks. subbed.
I own a 2004 model. Great cars!
tuning this platform is now free and open source, all the information is recently released, im learning to tune my S60R right now
Terrific, well done indeed,D5 xc70 driver G
Warning I'm assuming or i might have missed it, check that brake guide pins for grease and movement as if not used could be frozen, best practice grease and or replace all
Nice job Willem, looking forward to your next project.
Car looks superb great work.
Hello from Sweden. Love the channel. One question i have is , what diagnostik tool do you use.
Keep up the good work. ☀️☕
Volvo Vida!
@@wheelemverb Thanks. We have one Xc70 and one v70 in the family so... Thanks again, and take care. ☕👍
These episodes have been really enjoyable!
So happy to hear it!
best car channel
Amazing work, that volvo is gorgeous
Getting “What to expect when modifying a Volvo” videos recommended to my feed now lol
Could’ve fooled me that you’re a “beginner” with cars, awesome work!
This is amazing to see really, I have a 98 civic, and I'm having like a loooot of work with it, but I love it and I wanna let it perfect for driving too like you did with the Volvo, great work;
Id be nice if you shared how much money you put on top after buying the car. If you´re comfortable with that of course.
Awesome job, keep going .
Excellent content. Thank you for sharing!!
Great job!
But I just don't believe you don't have the mechanics background, considering how many tools you have.
I found it a bit illogical buying temporary ignition coil,if you already know that one is damaged by switching them.
Also, if I'd remove the engine, I would clean the under-the-hood area.
But it is all minor. I wish you success!
THAT JOHN CLEAN
these mellow car videos are great
Are these 18" Pegasus R Rims or the 17"?
You did the whole project very well, gz! Very nice shots.
Yes! 18 :)
If I'm not wrong those are the same wheels that were also available on 850Rs, right? Or they came later?
I love your Volvos Will!
Holy god damn cow that thing looks good! My volvo has a *bit* of rust to fix, and i would need to get the paint to pop a bit more (metallic silver). And window tint also, that i will do the following summer as i dont have a garage (it's full on winter as im writing this)
Great Job!
Sooo fire dude. Love to see the stoke haha
Hey, love the channel and love the work you're doing on the V70! Question: what LA junkyard do you go to to find Volvo parts?
GET IN THERE WILLEM
LIKE THIS CAR. ...!
Now its time to SLAM IT
Love this content!
Pls show us your s60r
Congratulations! Great job. Did you keep track of your costs and time?
Excellent work. Please please please tell us more about that dedicated Volvo laptop you've got. I've got an old laptop that I want to dedicate with vida but I don't know a reliable source for the hardware and software. Please help my lifetime-ownership 2002 V70.
Amazing job! What junk yard do you go to in LA?
well done.
pretty smooth considering the top torque mount isn't bolted in... And didn't you have a set of coils in the old engine?
What's your dream car (for this channel) Willem?
I just picked up a 2003 v70 and I love those wheels any chance you know where I can pick some up.
Word
awsome! did you switched to leather seats?
nice car indeed
how did the get the cover off so you could put on the rails??
What a candy!!!
12:12 😂
I got my v70 1999 for 400€ in Latvia perfect condition
we're waiting for twitter uploads of this dope car's photoshoot
Is that my photo as your profile picture?? 😂
Hector be proud
2:51 mixing
Do you happen to know what type of mpg you're getting? Nice videos.
wheel bearing was rear??
Want an exhaust mod? i got mine of a shady seller on the dutch site marktplaats, its 170 euro and makes it sound amazing !, hit me up if you want a link !
I'm interested in an exhaust for my S60, can you please send the link :)?
Just a cone filter. Stock exhaust. Send the link :)
Wicked!
Is that the OEM Exhaust? It sounds incredibly well. I hope I get my 850 to sound like this the moment i get rid of the aftermarket catalytic converter 😅
It’s just an AutoZone cone filter on the intake for dramatic effect 😂
@@wheelemverb I think I missed that in the video, cause i only spotted the factory airbox so far 😅
It wasn’t in any videos, just mentioned it at the end while driving the car :)
@@wheelemverb Another factor might be that my 10 Valve runs out of steam at 5500 rpm, yours was probably hitting 6500 rpm on that pull. And that definitely makes a difference
Damn... I wanna get one now but I don't wanna sell my LR3
Gla o se en skrut volvo i Amerika, cheerse från Sverige 🇸🇪😘
Hi! I am thinking of buying one as well. So I am very tall (6.4) and I am curious whether I might have problems with a roof window, which I would love to have. Do you think without is better? Thank you!
Without is much better!
How tall are you? Is it actually anoying? Could you not lower the seat sufficiently?
so gangsta :")
Volvos are reliable cars 👍🏻
did you switch out the cloth seats for leather?
Yes!
I just wanna know where you find 800 dollar V70s that aren't wrecked.
6.50 a gallon?!?! omfg
Does anyone know what year the car is?
Man, I know California is beautiful
But I don’t know how you are ok with the cost of living there 😂😅
What software is that?
Not smart to wear rings while working on cars!
I have 2 XC70's and one V70 non turbo oh and 2 S90's .. they kinda get under your skin and in your blood
