Good video. That garage is beautiful! Id love something like that someday! F.Y.I. 10:51 Porsche hired retired Toyota executives. Toyota never worked with Porsche.
pew pew
Better video than a lot of others i see with more likes and views 🤔
Right?! I wonder why that is... hmmmm... 🤔
Great video, thanks! Can you share more about the ultrasonic solution? Did you put super clean full strength in the green plastic bucket? What solution in the surrounding ultrasonic? What parts did you put in the ultrasonic besides the PS fluid reservoir? Thanks
Hey thanks for visiting. I use Oil Eater at 100% for most parts. Aluminum, 25% MAX. Be sure to check out my affiliate link if you buy one. It helps the channel! ✌🏼
Yes, great minds think alike!
Boy do I like that blue color! Looks amazing
You should see it up close! ;)
Looking forward to your 996 water pump/thermostat job. I've got the parts on my bench just waiting to be installed. I would like to watch your video first, though. I'm not sure what you mean that the slave cylinder is "missing". How in the world does it work then?
Great then hang on because I’m editing the video today! As far as the cylinder, someone “deleted” it from the system. So when you press the clutch it’s much firmer. Not sure the sanity level of the wealthy previous owner. 😂
Hi Michael, I am having the exact same issue with no stage 1 and RHS only stage 2 fan blowing. This video is great but Id like to know the details of the green resistors you bought as I dont see anyhting in the notes below ? thanks
Sorry about that. I updated my description with a link!
I love all your video's. Don't understand why your channel doesn't get more subs and views. It is great for any DIY enclines porsche enthusiast. Throwing you a comment and a few like to encourage the algorith to give your channel some love
Thanks for all you do! ✌🏼
Nice video, very helpful. Can't you just use plugs in the hose? Why clamp those?
Thanks. Yes you’re right, plugs do work. In fact I started with those but I didn’t have any big enough so they kept getting lodged in the hose!
I replaced the clutch spring also, mine was squeaky. I honestly couldn’t find anything wrong with it when I looked at it and compared to the new one. After replacing it, there wasn’t a whole lot of difference. After a couple hundred miles, holy cow. It is night and day better! I ordered seat covers from Lseat also! Can’t wait to see your video on doing the seats. I’ll probably have somebody here in Houston do it. I need to replace the cushion and the under seat mat too. Hoping to retrofit the heated seat option at the same time
I hope they get your color right on the seats. They’ve ghosted me. I’m going to have to reverse the charges.
How is Olaf doing now?
Alice and kicking. I dropped a recent video about him. My son used him for most of his college career and now he’s back in the stable with me. ✌🏼
war super-danke.
Thanks for the tutorial, Yogi! I am going to tackle this project as soon as this cold snap is over here in Houston.
I wish there was more than a mere "thumbs up" to show my appreciation for your efforts. I was shocked to see all those bean pods, I can only imagine how you felt. Great job on this slightly non-mechanical task! Love your videos!
Always a good day when Yogi is at The Shop Club! Seeing that mess in person is much more of perspective. Thanks for coming!
I would not sleep well until I knew everything was out of there that did not belong there
I don’t, believe me. I’m still on the fence about dropping it. 🤔
Wow this is incredible, great video!
As always, thanks again for stopping by 🙏
The struggle is real! Man, how can anyone work on something that Compact!?! When I first started the video, I was like; "Whelp. he's gotta drop the engine....". Glad I was wrong! Well done on the perseverance.
Thanks man! Hope all is well.
I have a 987 Cayman S with coilovers and I can feel your pain on getting the car up on a lift. I bought some 3" Race Ramps that I use to drive the front up on, which gives me enough clearance to get both front and rear lift arms under. I accidentally bought two pairs of ramps, so if you want the other set, DM me and we can work something out.
Appreciate the offer! I’m in the same boat sorta. I bout two pairs of ramps and had to give one set away! 😂
what a PITA! Glad you got most of it out and you enjoyed the drive back home in it!
It was indeed. I think I gained .5 0-60 too. 🤣✌🏼
Doesn’t much matter when the headlights look so old and frosted. It just don’t shine… either way.
This video helped me a lot when I found the foam sheets on my footwell. After taking care of the door through the heat core, I was able to get to the second door through the frunk, but able to just peel the remaining foam of it. Was very hard to get to both sides of it, but used jumper cable to connect the battery and move that door to the two end positions, so had a better, even so being a very limited access to it. Could have stuck a few new foam strips to it, but would have been blindly and risky to stick the foam to the airway wall instead, so I've skipped adding new foam to the second door! Thank you for the great video! See you at some of the morning GTGs! Merry Christmas and all the best!!!!
lifetime is the length of payments
oh shit now I remember. ive already told you how much I love this car. I couldn't see the red interior. how are you. the car is looking great. the wheels are so right. this is just a great choice when you decided on this. yes yes. this car is a badass specced car. outstanding!
sir I must say you have outstanding taste. what a fantastic 996 turbo cab. im a recent 996 lover. im a PCA member not a Porsche owner but a 45 year fan and I curate my brothers guards 20k 993 turbo. I have forgot more car info than my brother knows but he really spent the time and found a great car with a small repair listed on its history. I was in the car business for over 10 years and I really had to search to discover the repair but its a easy condition 2 car he paid 75 close to 20 years ago. sadly its gotten so valuable its really not a car for a person who isn't rich. you buy a Porsche to put miles on because you've always dreamed of driving a turbo 911. with those 993's selling from 250k and up for real tight examples I'm trying to get him to sell it and buy something he can enjoy and buy me a 996 turbo. I've fallen in love with the 996. its now by far my fav h2o 911 and I think its the best platform to really use or modify which is up my alley just bolt-ons but I saw this thumbnail and saw you car. really pretty car and for some Porsche people to not like this model I think they are crazy. the company had to totally change their manufacturing process when they started building them so I can live with the interior because the car is just so worth it and it looks so savage. just wanted to tell you I love your car. im sure you enjoy it like the Porsche gods intended it for. cheers my friend.
What a cool place! I'm rooting for these guys to make it! I hope they open up a Kansas City location!
This is a cool place!

🇬🇧 👍🏽 December 2024 Awesome, very 'real' content here, on this channel.
LIfetime fluid is the life time of the vehicle, which is at the end of the vehicle warranty coverage miles driven. My toyota has no dip stick and fill cap for transmission fluid either, must be put on a lifted and leveled to drain and fill.
No such thing as Lifetime fluid. Research this, any fluid vented to atmosphere oxidizes, also no fluid will lat multiple.hundreds of thousands of miles. Com!on sense in the automotive.industry. They claim Lifetime to get Cafe credits for lower maintenance.
Your first mistake was building an Audi
I remember Olaf, always something Aaa Yogi
Hey Don, yup it's always something. Now I flinch every time my son calls me. 😂 And to think we were contemplating a new Corolla for him just so that we don't have to worry about leaving him stranded only to find out Toyota isn't as reliable anymore. Still better than VW i'm sure.
I love working on my SAAB 9000 the fake firewall gives access to the whole dash and heater core and you can drop the motor and trans out the bottom. You couldn't give me a used Audi or a Mercedes had both and never again!
I feel ya! Makes for good content though. Gotta have something to complain about 😂
2007 is not 'old'. It's just from the 'planned obsolescence' period which really got into its stride around 2000. Mid-nineties was peak quality.
Well said. My experience with Audi started with this generation.
Ford transmissions were like this for a while too. There's a tube on the plug that goes up to the proper level, Its Pretty simple to service really.
Drill, tap, & install your own filler tube.
Does it have the stupid double firewall with the PCM and other electronics in between.
Thank god, no. Thanks for watching.
which gen has that?
@ the B5 1994 - 2001
@@18_rabbit 2005 A6 Quattro V8 has the double firewall with 2 small holes to drain it. I call it bathtub electronics.
If it's supposed to be "lifetime" fluid in the transmission, why even have a drain plug? This is Audi's way of hoping the transmission burns up so you'll buy another Audi. No thanks. Also, did you add fluid to the trans after reconnecting the axle shaft?
Nope. It’s on my list of things to do. ✌🏼
@@YogisGarage I don't know if I'd drive it low on fluid
It’s why the German economy is in recession. Germans can make fun cars to drive but their over complexity makes them unreliable and their parts are total ripoff. I will only ever own toyotas and maybe mazda. I have a 1997 supra 197k runs perfect, 2001 nissan xterra 340k miles, biggest thing i did was new head gasket. Runs perfect now. Original engine and tranny
Audi... leaving their owners stranded since the 70's! My dad had a '87 5000S. Great car until 63K miles. Then it fell apart. Almost caught on fire during a snow storm due to an electrical fire. 😂 2:54 I have an E46 BMW. BMW claimed the same "Lifetime oil" claim. A few years later they changed it to 100K miles.... which its still not. 😂 10:41 That's what she said!
😂 I’ll give you that one. 😅
I think the 5000 had an unintended acceleration issue, killed a few people and made news.
@adotintheshark4848 Yes. It was a Fake News story that spread.
@@adotintheshark4848 yep. But after fixed, those were pretty good cars, loved that 5 cyl.
Good video!
Thanks for watching! ✌🏼 🎅
