First in for most, I’m sending the most positive vibes I can to Mama Yogi. First episode and I bought bought this same car in In Lapiz Blue but mine was wrecked and needed a bunch of work. it’s almost on the road now but first I’m just about to lower the car with H&R springs too. Great episode and thanks for the tips.
You can save yourself a lot of hassle later on bleeding the ABS/PSM module by pushing down the brake pedal ever so slightly and hold it there with a stick or such between pedal and seat cushion or steering wheel. It prevents draining all the brake fluid from the whole system and being replaced by air. Trying to bleed air bubbles from the valves inside the ABS/PSM module needs cycling them as well as the pump in worst case. Whereas when you hold the brake pedal down it will only loose a few drips from the brake hose. A fluid replacement after bolting the refurb'ed calipers back will then be very easy as you'll have no air in the ABS/PSM module.
Those used disks didn’t look that bad or put if differently the new disks will soon look the same albeit thicker, obviously. It's all about using them in earnest as opposed to just the use case of comfortably coming to a stop at the traffic lights. On another note, the minimum disk thickness is needle printed on the circumference and states the minimum thickness that must be prevalent when fitting a new set of pads. So it's not that the disks themselves must be replaced as soon as they reach that thickness. Pads were probably mintex.
Understood and totally agree. This is part of an overall resto-mod and these rotors were just plain old. The pads generate too much dust as well so it was time to refresh it. I'm going with Akebono pads so that should help. Thanks for watching!

This is excellent info! Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to do that. Right now they're just hanging out and nothing is leaking out any more.
Do a color changing wrap
I know right?! I can’t decide on red or green so why not both? 😂
just a comment...drilled rotors are not a great choice for most cars....you get less surface area on which the pads can work.
I basically swapped stock for stock but appreciate the tip!
