One of the best features of your video is that you show how to replace the separate assemblies back into place after removing them. Thank you!!
Where can i order these parts?
@@thepunnisher8579 personally i ordered them from Autodoc but any good online motor factor will have them 👍
Hi bud, Just commented a another video of you. I greatly appreciate your effort for us. I am able to get into this menu and everything is just the same except the "Brake pad replacement" sub menu. It is not there. How comes that? Any suggestions?
@@taylyanorlinov9534 genuinely can’t help there as this is the method stated in the workshop manual! I do know that most diagnostic tools can also set the mode.
@mercedes_and_more I tried it but the icarsoft mb v3 didn't do the job. Is there any posibility of flipping the + & - to make the motor wind back in? Thank you!
@ there might be but i couldn’t comment if that would actually work, in theory it would. Maybe let us know how you get on!
What about the brake service mode? I cannot reach into that mode in a Mercedes E220 W123 from 2017. Thank you in advance! Keep up bud!

Hi. My e class right side making noise . My mechanic is going to change the arm. Please suggest Do i need to change both sides or only right side. Thanks
@@touqeersethi9988 personally i would always replace in pairs. When one goes the other will soon go, especially with a new one fitted
The old brake disc on the video has abs like patern on the hub but the new ones does not? Will the car still have abs?
Not sure i quite understand the question?
Great with explanation around each steps. Good video. Wear gloves though, i feel sorry for your hands, i can see you have cut yourself and its pretty easy to do when doing brakes.
@@Junaidddevil i normally do, but the trouble is being able still grip small parts. I don’t often do work or my cars like this so i generally take the one off hit 😬😬
This is very good. No unnecessarily talking, just to the point. Perfect, thank you.
I have yet to find a video actually showing somebody loosening the caliper bolts. For some reason (😇) nobody shows how hard (or easy?) it is to get them turning, especially in the tight wheel well. 😂 BTW: don't use copper paste on brakes with aluminum parts. You will get corrosion on the aluminum. Nowadays just use ceramic paste, which is suitable for all types of brakes and materials.
I don’t think i showed undoing them because space is tight to film and do the job. You definitely normally need a long bar for the initial leverage. I’ve just done my sons Ford focus this weekend and they are tightened to 173Nm!!
Are you sure that the oil filter is hand tight because I can’t open it with my hand and I cannot find the wrench for this oil filter
It is supposed to be done up to about 20Nm, however, heavy handed mechanics and heat cycles don’t help!
Im in the process of rebuilding the front end of my W213 E Coupe. I need to replace the front subframe can any of you guys guide me in the right direction of where to start, I’ve never done anything like this before all suggestions welcome!
Great guidance! i will replace my 2018 e300 rotor and brakes soon. Where did you buy the rotors and pads?
Thanks. I bought from Autodoc but they are many alternatives. If you haven’t read the further comments do not buy brembo as they failed very quickly. I then went to ATE discs and ceramic pads. All good
Brilliant job thank you
Witch mileage was on the tacho when the belt was changed?
@@miroslavvujasinovic6485 165,000 km or just about 100,000 miles in just under 6 years 👍
If you suspect the mechanic of over tightening the wheel bearings past the mentioned torque, what are the symptoms, scraping or squealing noises?
@@paulodee4098 i had the usually rumble in straight line that went away when turning. I then jacked up the car and there was a clacking sound when spinning the wheel. It should be silent or at worst a bit of brake binding noise only 👍
I didn't have the caliper spreader tool so I simply loosened the brake caliper nipple to get rid of the pressure then hand pressed the brake pads back. Best to do a brake bleed after to get rid of air in then caliper and lines.
Got both side replaced with these and for some reason getting a knocking noise from both side when steering lock to lock, narrowed it down to the bottom strut bush, anyone else experience this? I have torqued all bolts with the car sitting on its wheels :(
Thought I'd share my conclusion as I'd hate for anyone else going through the trouble I have. I have a 2018 C350e with Airmatic suspension and I fitted the above control arms and immediately found out the knock horribly when steering lock to lock, doing a bit of research found these are the wrong ones for Airmatic suspension the correct part numbers are Meyle 0160500210/HD and 0160500211/HD Only difference is the Airmatic ones have a rose bush instead of a stiff rubber bush which is for a Coil Spring suspension.
@JoeGoesx sorry, you are incorrect with this part numbers. The correct part numbers for an airmatic car for HD parts is in the video description.
Now I replaced both arms on my E350D. I can say it's much harder to do on non airmatic E-class. You have to losen a lot of other stuff before you get a larges bolt out. So it was very complicated to replace those arms.
Muchas gracias por la información! Fue de enorme valor didactito ? (RJ Brazil)
I will be one of many who will thank you for this video. Managed to change front discs & Pads with a bit of elbow grease on my E400... Forever grateful!
You should have changed it to the new style
At the time the new style wasn’t out but either way I don’t like or use the touchpad as I twist and move the wheel. I send map directions directly from my phone. Replacement was for aesthetic reasons 👍
You didn’t do the one inside. There are two.
@@caffienehigh53 I did this as a separate video as they are not always replaced at the same time👍👍
Is there a video for the rear bearings? I feel like the humming is coming from the back on the car?
Sorry not yet but i suspect very similar to the front but will need to remove the driveshaft first.

@@jasonswift7098 The owner's manual recommends adding 6.3 liters of oil during an oil change, but is it okay to replace only 5 liters?
@MarketMaven498 No! 6.3 with filter and 6 without. Personally I put in about 5.5 and then check the level and adjust so as not to overfill if for any reason not all of the old oil came out👍
@@MarketMaven498 No its not you put in the amount that is required don't just guess.
@@jasonswift7098 Thank you!
Excellent video. Appreciated.
Do you feel any difference? I mean that some people saying that they can feel differently I comfort. Aftermarket parts can make feeling of worse comfort.
The steering wheel felt more connected to the wheels! No real difference from the original but I think the HD parts are more about not wearing out so quickly?
@@mercedes_and_more i don’t know. Finding on google different opinions about Meyle HD. Some people talking about a good quality other have some issues with Meyle and recommending the Lemförder instegs as an original Mercedes arm manufacturer. The fact is that I need to change mine and Swedish prices of control arms have a lot of differences even when it comes to Meyle HD
@@lamoorproduction550 OE is lemforder. Also heard mixed about Meyle standards for replacement parts especially those made in china. HD are still made in Germany and for me were about the same price as Lemforder (MB was twice the price for a reboxed lemdorder part!) so HD it was. Look very well made
Could you please explain how to reset the service light. Thanks
If you scroll down through the “Mercedes” playlist on my RUclips channel then you will see a video explaining how to do it 👍
Here a link too same job with a torque parameter. For a complete tightness you need to tighten a wheel and lift down a car so it stands on a wheel, to tighten some bolts to right torque. How did you tighten those bolts with car on the ground? Asking because I need to replace a control arm and wondering how can I possibly do it? Thanks.
I jacked up the bottom of the hub/control arm to replicate wheel on the ground as I don’t have a lift
@@mercedes_and_more that is a good idea to measure from central of wheel to understand how long is it from middle point even when a car is jacked. I mentioned that your arm is different, I think it’s because of air suspension. Mine have no pin on it.
Ok, brake pads changed in my E350 W212 .... second wheel in 10min but the first one omg i can't pull out one of those pins hahaha 😅 take me 1 hour to take this out ... use special screwdriver 🪛 and 3kg hammer 😂 ... done! Usually change just front brake pads will take 20 min for me so pretty quick if all going well 😊
@@napalmet4ever that’s always the way in the reality of older cars. But at least you did it yourself so inner satisfaction!
Nice one ... from now I know how to easy change the brake pads :) The problem is I thought I will get new sensors with BREMBO brake pads. Can I use the old sensors? Im not changing brake discs yet. Should be ok.
No issues with reusing the old sensor if it’s not broken 👍. PS: do not use Brembo, go with ATE and ceramic pads. Brembo’s I fitted only last 10k km before warping.
Ah ok thanks ... I'll change next time with brake disc..
Thank you so much for taking the time to document and upload this guide. I've done plenty of brake jobs on my past vehicles, but none had a brake set up like the c class, so this helped me greatly. One of my pins was completely seized. Eventually, I had to cut the pin and drill it out and replace it.
So pleased to know I was able to help you. That’s exactly what the channel is about 👍
Nice video🎉
Useless video
The same clip is also broken🤣
Your data is really helpful. Anti Roll Bar Droplink replacement video you say Anti Roll Bar Link - 85Nm Lower Air Strut Mounting - 95Nm + 45 degs In this video Suspension Arm to Drop Link 85 Nm Drop Link to Anti Roll Bar 130 Nm Which figure is correct?
The figures in the video description are 100% correct and taken from the workshop manual. I think the narrative on the video and the way I describe is at odds with the text so I’ll do better next time to be more accurate!

Hello please reply
Sir I need help you
Very nice job, was the previous belt original from factory? and also at what interval do you change your AT fluid ? thanks cheers
Yes it was the original belt. The belt looked ok but was clearly stretched! Ref AT: for Europe it is every 125,000 km but can vary for other markets.
Great video, much appreciated
No problem 👍
Thanks man!👍
Just a note , you do not need a special tool to push pistons back in . Just use a large screwdriver or lever and push the pistons back using the old pads to push against .
Agreed but having the correct tool means you don’t damage the pads if you are not replacing them 👍
Hey, did you fully solve the wabbleling while braking problem? I have the same problem and changed the brake discs 3 times already and they all did arownd 8/10k km
Yes and No. I now know that every making surface needs to be wire wheeled to make it look like new before putting the disc on the hub and the wheel on the disc. Also tightening the wheels to 20, 75 and then 150 nm must be followed. My Brembo discs warped after 10k but ATE are doing excellently after 50k and fitting ceramic pads really does keep down brake dust. That said I stop here a wobble from 55 to 50 kph but no other speed! Replacing the totally knackered suspension components made no difference.
@@mercedes_and_more did it make any Diference after changing the wheel bearings?
@jonhdoe6260 no it didn’t. The only thing that changed was a decrease in dB’s from the front wheels 😂
@@mercedes_and_morewire wheeled?
@jotapitas yes. Wire wheel the hub of replacing the rotor/disc. If just replacing the pads the wire wheel where the disc/road wheel mating surface 👍
