Akihiko Yoshida's art has a very unique appeal to it that I can't really explain. I remember going into Kmart one day many many years ago and looking at the 3DS games. Bravely Default's cover just stood out so much to me (the black cover), and I would just stare at it in what I can only describe as wonder and awe. I ended up getting the game, and despite not knowing anything about the game and only playing it for about an hour, that cover art still sticks with me for just how strange it makes me feel inside. It's incredible.

This stuff it looks like a great book to get for the beautiful Ray of colors and imaginative ideas that can inspire! Also as an art book Hunter, I try to go after any copy I can, despite what kind of binding/cover it has. I do keep note that if it has a paper cover, to handle it gently and make sure anyone else looking at it gives it that same respect you would! ( Trust me I've had plenty of friends not know how to handle an art book and rip the binding!😢)

So one detail left out was the manga that influenced Daisuke Ishwatari ...and that's BASTARD!!! It's a manga that was released in the 80s and utilized the use of Heavy metal bands and Rock as magical attacks, summons and more! ( Yes it was an Ova series series and the 2 season series is on Netflix!) Even the character designs were a major influenced; such as Kall-Su into Ky Kiske( even using the same attack Ride the Lightning) Polno Diano inspiring aspects of I-No and nearly every Holy Order member using Larz outfit ( Princess Sheilas brother) from Ky, Sol, Kliff, Robo Ky and Holy Order Sol! In addition, Daisuke is also fans of other manga and anime such as Kenshin for Baiken and Tekkaman Blade into the boss Justice!

Ayami is like a classic Renaissance illustrator embracing mix media with Goth overtones. Her characters are beautiful and mysterious. No matter if it's death, a young maiden, a Shogun Warlord or even Dracula himself...there's always an element of beauty and wonderment to them. Also her being a mixed media illustrator is very fascinating as I also use a series of gouache acrylics and copic markers so it's cool to see them fully utilized by a master!❤

  • @LowellLucasJr.

The best way to describe Amano's style is a dreamlike illusion where are the characters are in a perpetual motion. It is very rare to find any of his characters stiff and static (unless that is their character trait) but he always knows how to make them interesting and mysterious. Not many people can do illustrative works like hmthis and adds why Neil gaiman and other creators have asked for his hand and other projects! It's very hard to believe he was the original character designer behind Gatchaman( AKA GForce or Battle of the planets) before being the main illustrator of Vampire-Hunter D and FF! I always look forward to seeing his works and artbooks! Even with Tetsuya taking over as a main character designer on projects, I'll never forget the concept work of Amano!

She's definitely a fangirl of Capcom and she loves to include her favorite characters as well as some of the lesser knows that never get much screen time! Aside from breath of fire 3 I know she likes that include poison in a couple illustrations, captain commando, and even that illustration with Mega Man and Ryu; that's old school Ryu from the very first street fighter! That's just some commitment!😂❤

  • @LowellLucasJr.

What else can we say about kinu nishimura, besides beautiful enchantress?!❤ She may not play the game she designs for, but she's clearly a fan of the characters as she always draws them in such fun and fancy free illustrated works! Her beefing up the sex appeal in her work is phenomenal! Not that many artists can draw sexiness like she can and still have massive appeal to have figurines and statues made out of! I remember her doing The illustrated work for Street Fighter championship edition for the ultimate character colors and they already spoke volumes for how in-house they can be but something uniquely different about them! I am glad that over time she's been able to express her more and unlike bengus, her simplified work is just as captivating as a detailed work! Same with her simplified work is just as captivating as a detailed work! Same with her rough illustrations! She is beyond amazing and on the same realm as Akiman as you can see her work and capcom's Dungeons and Dragons puzzles and dragons and even complementary supplement work to vanilla wares king of dragons ( which also include many other beloved Capcom illustrators)!

I've recently started getting into drawing (on and off my whole life, gotten serious lately, want to make a comic book). Both Kaneko and Hirohiko Araki are my two biggest inspirations just because of how different their styles are. Kaneko, especially during the PS2 area, seems to treat his characters like clay dolls or manakins almost. Meanwhile, it's been stated plenty of times that Araki bases his style on Roman and Greek statues. Fun fact, Araki and Kaneko were roommates at one point, which is more than likely why Persona and JoJo ended up having similar concepts.

Bengus' (when he was known as CRMK)Super Street Fighter 2:Turbo character art back in 1994 was the best in my opinion. When I was improving my art in my high school years, I looked at his stuff along with the SNK art as well while I was still following the Jim Lee/Andy Kubert stuff from Marvel comics & still do today with Bengus, Kinu Nishimura & Akiman on the Capcom side & Eisuke Ogura on the SNK side
