Not trynna hate but most of the bleach drip in cover art which most shonen got. The soul reaper uniform is like the only drip they actually got in the story.
I’m a huge Bleach fan and I wanna say I appreciate your video man, most anime RUclipsrs who talked about Bleach just straight up disrespect the series like Namukir and SilverEyepatchwolf
I wish the story is as tight as the art. I still like Bleach, my favorite out of the big 3, but it's mostly cos of the characters and the art, not the story.
I've never read bleach but one thing I always love about mangaka's is their ability to use cross-hatching and rendering to great effect. Creating something with so much depth and detail. I prefer black and white because color can take away from the lines and detail giving off a whole other feel. To me, I think that color works when it's intentionally used rather than as an after thought or an overlay on a piece that is meant for black and white. Especailly when you consider Halftones
I kinda hate when others call him a bad artist because of no background or say he sucks at writing. Kubo knows this and does it intentionally and uses the medium better then most
I think the ''no backgrounds'' effect is used well throughout most of the panels. I've seen quite the discussions as well, people are bragging about 'which mangaka is better' and attack Kubo on this very point. About the writing: all shonen manga follow more often then not the same formula anyways :p
Can you do a vid on daiju yanauchi? His art meminds me a lot of Takahiko inoue, he’s made the mangas gang king, seven star jt, and the rugby manga one for all
Actually I think you just mentioned the core of the problem here. Honesty I think Kubo gets a lot of backlash on his art (like bleached background) because people are more disappointed in the bleached... empty story. They just want to out their frustration on him, because objectively he is a great artist and people downplaying his skill are likely not even close to his level. That said, I dropped out of the story myself in all fairness and only checked the cool fight scenes to finish it off.
@@GameArts1 People who say this guy isn't good at drawing don't know anything about drawing. I'm concept artist for more than decades now and I can assure you that Kubo is a brilliant character designer, his ability to emphasise the style of the characters is special, probably the mangaka who has drawn characters in the highest number of different outfits in the history of manga. For me he should be drawer for scriptwriters, like Yusuke Murata for exemple (Murata stays better in drawing in my view ). Whatever, The only manga collection I've resold without any regret is Bleach, after 37 books I was tired, style is nice but not enough to keep me in the story. I dropped out too.
"Bankai."
I'm actually trying to take notes from his style.
So thank you.
I have always been fascinated by Kubo's art ever since I saw the anime for the first time, awesome stuff
Tite Kubo is a great artist and Bleach is my favorite shonen anime!
Alls I know is Kubo draws the drippiest characters in Shonen Jump, if not all of shounen manga

@rand12389 does that change that their still drippy?
@@rand12389 what r u even trying to say..? 😅

Great video! Very nice to get a deeper look on the art style that Kubo evolved

Glad you enjoy it!
You brought up anatomy and I was like “Lol now show the girls.”
In hindsight... I should have ;p
What Tite did for Sakura Wars was great! How would his art style look in other JRPG, such as, "Final Fantasy"? It would be great, wouldn't it?
Agreed, I want to see a cloud/squall/Sephiroth fanart of him. I think those tree would fit those slender designs.
@@GameArts1 I strongly agree with you.
Please do Todd McFarland next 🇺🇸😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

This guy is extremly good in style and drawing, just not enough good to write consistent story from beggining to the end.
