Diagnosing the Offense and Illinois Prediction with Bo Ruud | Nick Bahe Podcast
Living in Wisconsin since late 90's, this former Nebraskan is SICK of how we😂get slapped around yearly by the pseudo "RED" team ftom behind the cheese curtain. They stole our walk--on and identity to beat us to a pulp! Hoping Huskers finally pull this gorilla off our backs! I gotta live amongst these BADger fans!
lets get the next to and the bowl 8-5 baby!!!
wait we are in yr 2 of a dumpster fire rebuild with a true freshman 5 start QB. yeah ill wait since we are in the day n age of paying these cry babies
Nick, my dude. You’re on TV. You have to say words out loud, not pause for 15 seconds. Sorry if I was rude.
RB vision is god awful. All they see is the back side of the line man they are running into. Hit the damm hole and run to daylight.
I married into a Wisconsin family and can confirm your impression of their accent is 100% accurate. I wake up to it every morning. GBR.
Gifford is broken
Go Big Red!
Psychological Gap! It's not just a team. It's the entire State and fan base. We all need this win desperately. We all need to feel like the time, emotion, energy and money that we put into supporting the huskers that we love is worth that investment. It's really what it boils down to for the fans. I get it. Not going to a bowl game is not Matt Rhule's fault except for once and that was last year. But he has that weight on his shoulders and I think he's the man to get rid of it. We just need one point more than Wisconsin or Iowa at the end of the game. Is that too much to ask? GBR
lol, I got pulled into that Bar Rescue show, too.
It’s cute that Nick thinks players are passing up big pay days and playing time because of a teams record. How could Nebraska convince transfers to come here? 💰💰💰
I wonder how much the big ten regrets having us join them?
Lets be honest the QB play last 6 game's has been the worst in college football.. Dylan might be very talented time will tell. With decent QB play Nebraska would really be let's say 7 and 3 instead of 5 and 5. Can't allow any player unintentionally to hurt the whole team. Everyone said Dylan's the savior don't mess with that these are the results
Sounds like Malachi Coleman is entering the transfer portal per Nebraska insiders. Bummer - he actually gave a rip it seemed.
Say it isn’t so
I don't know if he fully gave a rip but has to be obvious he can't get on the field so I don't think it really changes anything I would've liked to have seen him succeeded though
Dylan has been AWFUL!!! He looks like he's lost...IMO I still think HH gives us the best chance to win one of the last two. HH loosens up the defense and gives our receivers a chance.
HH might raise your floor, but he definitely lowers your ceiling.
@CivilizedSavage We need one win. Give me HH all day! Give our receiver's a chance being in zone coverage. They obviously can't handle man coverage and we all have seen that.
Yep Dylan hasn't played well enough for along time. Hurting the team's chances of winning. Not trying to be mean it's just a fact. Last 6 game's really bad QB play
I've been opposed to it at this point because I think Dylan definitely needs to work. But if the coach actually thinks that would make the difference for one game. I'm all for it. I think Dylan can handle it emotionally and he'll have next year. Hopefully at Nebraska 🙃
Crazy that a FRESHMEN has had an up and down year…😮
If we do win one more game and a bowl game, it would be fools gold. Just like all the signs were there during the early season success that this isn't a well coached team. There is something that looks fundamentally broken here. Having maybe the worst game manager in a conference built on game management certainly doesn't help our cause, but looks deeper than that even. This team should have been able to sleep walk to 8 wins.
This season put a Fork in any chance ever having Stadium reconstruction
Guys, you both act surprised by our offense being bad now, when it was productive early in the season. The Huskers played terrible teams at first. And, only played Colorado tough in one half. Now, they are playing better and more talented teams with better coaches. It's So Obvious!
Yeah, I always say we started playing Big Ten talent in teams. Things got hard.
The thing that is holding us back is the Mike Leach Mind Virus. Look at Fla St! They just went from champs to chumps! It's 100% Unicorn QB dependent! Why is it called "Gambling" and not "Overtime"? Tom Osborne brought his lunch pail to Goodyear daily and Mike Leach hung out at Harrah's.
With this offense we gots: Fumble, hold, offsides, int, incomplete pass, zero-yd bubble screen, sack....all are essentially turnovers. We may as well run the option and have 6 fumbles with 3 lost.
We are now Utah State Lancaster County. If we insist on recruiting unicorn QBs and running spread air attacks we're finished. Done. Over. Toasted Bread. Build an offense with 300lb lineman (plenty in Neb) Build an offense that Craig Sundberg, Scott Frost, Eric Crouch can run. Get TF under center, put in 240lb 38" vertical smash mouth FB (Brian Carpenter).
🎉
A 5 star QB like Dylan would benefit greatly from something like this. Have teams sell out on the run and have him be able to surgically destroy defenses through the air occasionally.
I think is someone in the RB room
I hope so.
@@Handletaken4Mekhi
That’s dumb
It's Quinn Clark has been confirmed.
@ so if Dana can come in and in 2 1/2 weeks recognize talent in younger guys that he can use, and it’s successful, Garrett McGuire needs to be gone or demoted.
They almost ran out of time?? What lol? They did run out of time. It wasn't 4th down on that final play . Rhule let all that time drain off the clock on that final drive and didn't call his second timeout until there was 11 seconds left..and then he never used that final timeout. Almost 3 minutes to work with and rhule goes home with with timeout and ran out of time. Unacceptable..he's the worst I've ever seen with clock management and timeouts. Stop tip toeing around calling him out
I'm with Bo, I'm in this for the long haul. I hope Mich and the "move-on" peeps do move-on. Please move-on and stop following and posting about the program. We don't need you, we don't want you. Bye! #GBR!!!
Bos love for Nebraska football just got me so hyped up. He actually can’t understand not loving it till he dies GBR
Dylans play has gone downhill ever since the second half against Colorado. Not helping the team win. We will see how good Dylan ends up being. Not all 5 stars translate to colly stars. Freshman no longer an excuse 10 games in
My father and brother stopped caring, I am getting there, if we go 5-7 I cannot justify putting anymore care, time or energy into this cur-sed program as the 5 star hope has crumbled and I can't believe Dana Holgorsen is going to have success in the Big 10. You adapt to the Big 10 or you get swallowed by it, a quote by Scott Frost.
The crazy thing is, I kind of wish we had Adrian Martinez back, never thought I would say that but I will feel much better about him that what we currently are getting.
Was at the game, Dylan's first INT was BAD. He had plenty of time, followed the receiver with his eyes the whole way, the receiver was never open, and he threw it into double coverage anyway. Again, had all day to throw. Not good.
I've moved on. I checked the final score and prepared for volleyball. I have moved on to be 100% a volleyball fan. I follow their stats, I follow the recruiting, I keep up WAY MORE with the volleyball program than I do with football.
Braska, the team that turns 5 stars into 1's
I quit watching. I've quit going to games. If the players don't go out and get it who will. Quit given the university money too.
No you haven't
Way too early to throw the team and Coach Ruhle under the bus. Anyone thinking that a true freshman quarterback was going to go on a straight, upward trajectory doesn’t understand qb development. He's going to be great BECAUSE he's going through the fire right now. I certainly don't intend this as a personal attack on them but until every last Frost player has moved on it won't improve. Their mental blocks are so deep-seated that I truly don't believe that even T.O. and company could rectify them. Just watch the body language. Something negative happens and shoulders start to slump and heads drop. Just watch them Saturday and you'll see what I mean. The single digit players are the worst in this way.
How many times did I hear how in year two Rhules teams make a big jump?
Sometimes Rhule says too much. Said we are ahead of schedule but I'm having trouble seeing that
During Frost’s 4th year I went fishing many Saturdays, and watched only pieces of each game. That is what moving on is…..
We're in yr 2 with a rookie qb and we just added a huge upgrade at OC, it's way to early to give up.. also development is happening in practice no doubt. Rhule has shown he can KEEP players which is new to nebraska. Hopefully there is very little turnover again this off season
NU hasent beat Wisconsin in ten years they losing out the rest of the season offens can’t score more then 20 and the highlight of the year was Colorado get ready for the offseason boys GBR
Rhule can't coach
Our offense had 1240 yds rushing this SEASON. In 1995 our Fullbacks rushed for 875 yds. Fullbacks. Would we be in a bowl game with FBs?
Our RBs just need to be better. Shouldn't have to resort to FBs for consistent rushing yards
Well our FB is injured
Malcolm Hartzog came from a extraordinary winning culture. Just look up his highschool in Mississippi and see how many state championships they have and years of winning records. They live and breathe winning. It's just a way of life for them. It's expected. That's why you have a guy of his size with a tremendous winning heart and spirit.
Just watching Dylan in news conference’s and his commenting, doesn’t appear that he has the it factor. Confidence is a big part of playing at this level. Turner Gill, Tommie Frazer had the it factor and big personality. The I’m in charge here attitude.
He's worn a green jersey in practice since he was 7. It's not his fault he is soft.
Sit Riola. He needs to watch and gain perspective. He also looks scared. The WRs are talented, but not being coached up. At all. The O line is not talented and also not being coached up. If DH is the OC next year, let him choose the assistants. It's a pretty specific system, and I don't think a patchwork of O coaches from different systems will make it work
I would be okay with this. O-Line coach might be tough to remove but start with changing the WR coach. He's helping DH learn the lingo and I hope that doesn't lend to keeping him around
Apathy will set in if Nebraska goes 5-7. Sellout streak will end, people will stop caring, stop giving their money to the program, and find better things to do on a Saturday afternoon.
Move on means stop watching Nebraska football and find something to replace the time you have given to this program.
Malcolm Hartzog reminded me of Cortney Grixby. Good corner but too short.
Hard to watch. Makes some incredible plays but when the receiver is 6’5 it’s just easy to pick on him. Love his heart I get it but results should matter
Okay I took Mitch a completely different way. Nebraska fans are always blaming something for why they are not a National contender anymore. Bo wasn't good enough, then Riley, then Scott, then Satterfield. The fanbase is delusional in thinking we should have a Natty tomorrow and doesn't have the patience to build. They forget that Osbourne built Nebraska to what it was, we were 6-4 in his 5 and 6th year with the program before he became OC. So I think that is what Mitch is referring to. We had all the hype of the 5 star. Then we had all the blaming on Satterfield, he gets replaced and issues are still there. Then you hear dumb fans saying to fire Rhule. Mitch to me is saying its time to acknowledge that we cannot fire our way out of this, all the "quick fixes" and hype meant nothing. Its time to accept where the program is this decade, change the mindset or standards for the program (not forever), and if you cannot do that it maybe time for you to move on. And honestly... I agree. I would argue the fans delusional mindset has prevented Nebraska from being able to come out of this. Constant changing of coaches, scaring off potential players with toxicity and players not knowing if they come here how long there coach will last. Since Bo I blame the fans for the state of Nebraska Football.
DMX here we go again…same ol shit dawg…just a different day!!!
Dylan’s story will look like Adrian’s after 4 years
I’d wager it’ll be a different story if he’s working with Dana Holgerson next year
How do you know
@ it’s called pattern recognition
@ Dana didn’t have a job for a reason
Does talking shit on people you don't know make you feel smart
Where are our track team wide receivers? Just line up 5 wide and run to the endzone.
Not against this whatsoever. All the talk in the offseason about talent, Rhule said we will murder you downfield… 😅
I say start Haarberg against Wisconsin and see what it looks like.
At this point you can only expect the same or better result with HH or even Danny K. at QB.
